If your item is under 300 words, but you got creative with your lack of spaces or failure to include parts of the template, I will find and report your item. I have found a bunch every year and expect to find more this year.
Oh no no. Mine's nothing like that. I typed it up, well.

If you used word for your word count, it is sleightly different. Still unless you were at 290+ words you should be fine.

378... *sigh*
btw, nice Warforged avatar. Heh Did you include hyperlinks? I know the hyperlinks threw off the word count in my item in google docs by a lot. Hyperlinks don't add to word count very much in the submission tool though.
If so if you had hyperlinks you might want to delete them and recheck the word count in Word.
If you didn't have hyperlinks, ouch! Sorry.. No, no hyper links.
I know someone mentioned Sleestak, and I though "Pathfinder HAS Sleestak.... they're called 'The Trogodytes of the Darklands' Orv.". rofl, I'm joking.
As for ideal dinos and such...
I'd want:
-Orthocone (prehistoric cephalopod with a heavy shell and poor eyesight)
-Andrewsarchus (biggest mammalian land predator)
-Therizinosaurus
-Hyneria (LARGE prehistoric fish that can CRAWL ONTO LAND!)
-Deinotherium (A giraffe-sized elephant with prominent tusks that grow from the chin)
-... Quetzalcoatlus (why not?)?

If you vote a lot you have a *chance* of seeing your item -- so maybe keep your eyes open and you can let go of that worry before the voting is over.
I hope so. Thanks for the vouch of confidence.

Will I be notified, beforehand, if I am POTENTIALLY disqualified because my item's submission exceeds the 300 word limit, to rectify that?
Or... is this a case of "tough noogies", once I submit it?
*nervously fidgets*

Also, I'll have to admit that I disagree with more than half of that.
Dybbuks, genius. Dybbuks. And Clay Golems.
Also, I never said its INFLUENCE ON GOLARION.... just the use of FOLKLORE!
Do you TEND to put words in people's mouths, or do you simply LOVE to nit-pick?
Either Knowledge Planes, Knowledge Religion (they are "demons" in ancient lore), or Knowledge Nature (since they are.... found.... walking around and stuff, lol)

What I've learned?
-Paizo tries to pander to multiple tastes (low fantasy, high fantasy, horror, lovecraftian horror, science-fantasy [not "Space Samurai with Energy Blades" rofl], pirates, samurai, asian-themed adventures, adventures that take you to the other side of the world, and NOW the moon)... ALL IN ONE PRODUCT!
-Paizo can take history's lamest monsters, and the commonly used, but blandest fodder monsters (Goblinoids, Ogres, Lizardfolk, Gnolls, etc), and make them COOL (anyone who can make Flumphs... FLUMPHS... cool, is 100% OK in my book).
-Paizo LOVES to use inspiration from books, movies, some games, and even various mythic folklores (Western, Eastern, Jewish, Russian, African, Nordic... EVEN INUIT!!!), and this shows me that they're doing a fantasy product right FROM inspiring from these sources.
-Paizo has not made us shell $50.00 EACH for hardcover after hardcover after hardcover... yes, they have SOME hardcovers, but not to the same extent as "some notable companies"... instead, we shell 20-something bucks for well-made softcovers that keep a reader intrigued, even enthralled, with RICH flavor and story-telling, rather than "crunchmath"
-Paizo has shown us all that, just because something has flaws, that it can merely be re-worked and streamlined into something better (aka "if it's cracked, but not broke... make it better")
-Paizo doesn't rip off their graphic artists by reusing art, en mass.
-Paizo has used OGL in ways that make me feel proud to be an RPer
-Paizo doesn't necessarily have to work on everything, if someone noteworthy has cornered a market on something (Dreamscarred with Psionics), which in turn compliments each other.
-We don't need 100+ Prestige Classes... when Archetypes are so much more fun and more available to use.
-Prestige Classes aren't lame, either, but need what's necessary to help to DEFINE the character, not to "give them a badge".
-The Advanced Race Guide has given US, the consumers, a crack at making races, legitimately (and i have used it, so far).
-The people at Paizo are human, like us: Fallible, yet relatable (actual word?), resourceful, and adaptable.

In response to Liam, he's looking at what I call the "Advanced Pseudonatural" template, shown in the Epic Level handbook, which is not the same as the Pseudonatural Template in Complete Arcane and Lords of Madness.
I actually did a bit of re-tooling, using the Celestial and Fiendish templates as main backbones, plus using "And Madness Followed" in Dungeon to spice them up a bit more. So here's my take:
Pseudonatural Creature (CR +0 or +1)
Pseudonatural creatures thrive in the black spaces between the stars, but can be summoned by half-farspawn creatures or alienists using spells such as summon monster and planar ally. A pseudonatural creature’s CR increases by +1 only if the base creature has 5 or more HD. A pseudonatural creature’s quick and rebuild rules are the same.
Rebuild Rules: Type changes to Outsider. Do not recalculate HD, BAB or saves;
Defensive Abilities- gains DR and energy resistance as noted on the table;
SR- gains SR equal to new CR +5;
Special Attacks- true strike 1/day as a swift action (+20 insight bonus on a single attack roll. It suffers no missed chances vs. concealed targets when making this attack.);
Special Qualities- alien form (creatures of the Material Plane receive a -1 penalty on attack rolls against it due to its writhing, alien appearance).
Table: Pseudonatural Creature Defenses (man, this was HARD to re-work in a left-sided format that doesn't accept grids)

Yeah, not too different. A few changes here and there to match up with similar templates, along with some changes to streamline that Special Ability so that it's constant, not something that takes a standard action. Sorry I had to relist the Defenses chart since this format doesn't allow grids. ALSO, I MAY change "half-farspawn" to fit more with both Pathfinder and the RP world/solar system that me and a friend have worked on for a few years via-Pathfinder (since there's no "Far Realm"... but there IS dark planets and the Dark Tapestry). I have some ideas, in my head of what to rename that template.
It WAS classy for Paizo to make a post for DSP's ultimate project for a Psionics Core Book. I always had a feeling that the initial reason Paizo did nothing with Psionics was because it was lower on the list than refining classes, reintroducing monstrs, giving us insights of Golarion and its cultures and races with adventure paths, supplements, and the like...
But I knew, since Dreamscarred made a cornerstone for Psionics, my thoughts on why Paizo hasn't... is because they technically don't need to, anymore. DSP has done that for them, and they know that Paizo customers buy these books, as well. Hence why Paizo is acknowledging their efforts like this.
I just wish I pledged, but I can wait for the books to be listed here (I hope).
We'll never have "Flayers of the Mind", but that's why we've got Phrenic Scourges to make up for that.
Justin Franklin wrote: See the Reign of Winter AP volume 4 that is supposed to go to Triaxus. ... neat!

It's been a few months since I bought this book, and MAN the "Flavor" (since I REFUSE to use "fluff") still is on my tongue.
Definitly some adventures on Castrovel and Akiton would be amazing. Triaxus, weirdly, combines "that planet that revolves around Upsilon Andromidae" (also an erratic revolution, much like Triaxus), and with the Dragonkin fighting alongside and with Triaxians.... I can't help but think of "Dragon's Blood" by Jane Yolen.
And, though I've not read every page on this thread... i'd be intrigued, even fascinated, on a one-time adventure to Nchak... how does a small band of humanoids fair on a world... OF SENTIENT (and non-sentient) INSECTS?!?!? I mean, such lost-in-translations moments could occur when dealing with the dominating lifeforms, ruled by The Forever Queen.
Oh, btw, This book, and Advanced Race Guide (and a TINY bit of Psionics Unleashed), has prompted me and a friend of mine to craft up three alien races for our campaigns (we use Pathfinder as a "toolkit", but we've made up our, well mostly his, fantasy world (called Relmus, or "The Realm") and I've worked up on the worlds further in and further out from said world (Well, Spelljammer had Greyspace and Krynnspace, etc. etc., so I KNEW Golarions solar system isn't the only one out there in the Tapestry). I could spoil for the races I helped to make but.... well... NAH (plus I do use LOOSE references to some books, shows, movies, and one sci-fi pulp comic cover by Frank R. Paul)!
*sigh* now if only we had the funding to work on fleshing out these worlds (especially the main one) and to publish them... oh well, in due time, I suppose.
