A Chelaxian Aasimar Absolutely Venerates Iomedae Despite Every Tiefling Living Beneath Asmodeus Authority

The Freebooter Archetype has a similar ability to the Guide Archetype noted by Java Man.

Seems like the Guide version is a better self-buff, whereas the Freebooter applies the buff to allies too (with conditions).

Still need to spend actions for both though.

Holy moley - so glad I backed this.

KS projects can sometimes be of, ahem 'variable' quality (in terms of the physical product...luckily all the KS projects I have backed have content which has been pretty awesome), but this looks amazing.

Gimme, Gimme, Gimme :)

It amazes me that, after 5 pages of comments complaining about the lack of updates, when we get an update, those same people complain that it isn't good enough. Surprise surprise.

We've been given a timeframe for the next instalment, and art previews to show work is still being undertaken on book three. It has also proved wrong the cynics that said Gary had disappeared into the wide blue yonder with our money. We just need patience. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the books incomplete until mid 2015... I've been waiting a lot longer for 'The Winds of Winter'.

In five years time after finishing play on an epic and original campaign we will look back and have totally forgotten a years delay. The series, the company, and Gary will be remembered for the quality of the product first and foremost, and that will determine the success of future kick starters. Whatever the nay-Sayers may think.

Provided the quality is there Gry can take as long as he likes, in fact I'd say it is imperative he does so. The reaction to his update only goes to show why he would stay away - a number of posters using any comment as a reason to launch an attack. Who wants to work in that environment. The surest way to guarantee defensiveness is to go on the offence.

For my part, I'm not complaining about it being late. I'm complaining about not being kept in the loop.

The delay doesnt matter to me at all. What bothers me is promising one thing and then not explaining why when you change your undertaking. (I dont understand why I havent gotten book one yet, for example - I dont really care that I havent gotten it yet, I care that he hasnt told me why).

/Agree wholeheartedly.

Delays are par for the course on Kickstarter, but keeping your backers (financiers!) in the loop is a small courtesy, forgotten by many (but not all - I wont mention any names, but a certain other high profile RPG Kickstarter has been WELL OVER 12 months late, but kept it's backers informed about progress and delays along the way. Only now are they starting fulfilment, but with good communications a multitude of 'sins' are easily forgiven).

I still have concerns that are not fully alleviated by the update, but my position appears to be the same as Steve's...Delays are actually OK (and somewhat expected), just talk to us so we don't have to worry about it unnecessarily.

I don't honestly know how to feel about this one.

One 1 hand I am glad for news and it rekindles my hope for the project, but on the other I have already been through all the stages of grieving and given up on the project.

I guess I will take any news as good and try to keep my small hopes alive that this will reach completion.

On the positive side - having accepted that the money I pledged was down the drain, any further fulfilment on this project will be a nice bonus :)

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes (please move me, if this is the wrong place).

I am a recent convert to Pathfinder and I love the adventure paths (started with Skull & Shackles, but bought Kingmaker and RotRL anniversary ed.). The quality of the physical books and overall writing is fantastic.

My group has also been using Herolab for sometime and also been following the Realm Works program development, and now the kickstarter).
Realm Works

I plan on running all my campaigns through Realm Works once it launches.

Thing is - as much as I like the AP books/subscription, I don't have unlimited storage space and the shipping costs are becoming prohibitive.
The recent price hike on the AP shows how Paizo is being impacted by increased costs too.

So - here is my idea (which you guys may have had already):

What about a purely digital AP subscription, consisting of PDF, Realm Works files, and perhaps Herolab portfolios?

Now I know Paizo has a good relationship with Lone Wolf Development and I see this as a real growth area.
Plus it would save me a TON of time using copy-paste and messing around with images/maps etc.

I mean - I would be prepared to pay the same the same price for this service - You guys wouldn't have physical production costs, and I wouldn't have to pay shipping! Win-Win!

Thoughts?
