Hello there, I am looking to either join a group or start a group that would like to play either Pathfinder or 5.0. I tend to enjoy Homebrew or Sandbox type games that center on RP and let the pcs drive the stories (with a few set linear adventures as part of it).

I also tend to like Evil, or a grey area type feel.

I DM or Play and have plenty of experience.

Let me know and maybe we can work something out (this would have to be a Wednesday night game -- I know with jobs and kids this might be difficult, but would like to see the interest)

I am trying to decide between running a political type game with some combat (similar to Dark Ages: Vampire), or a Fall Out style campaign (maybe even Shadowrun).

I've seen builds and ideas on here with people using Pathfinder as the base system for things like this. However, I am looking at if I should limit certain classes, or even go so far as allowing the alternate alignments (unearthed arcana) for Paladins to allow for more gritty feel.

Has anyone done any of this and can lend ideas or tidbits?

Looking to fill out a group in NE CT. Game is every Saturday and starts at 5pm. You can either be experienced or not (if you are experienced, please be flexible with game play style, and be flexible in the rules).

I would cap the group at 6 (I have 2 -one has to take some Saturdays for things he had prior to joining). If I end up with 3 to 4, I will look at using Gestalt rules.

Character creation is as follows:

18
8
Roll D10+4 (no roll can be lower than 11) for the rest of the stats.

If you want to have a 20 in a stat or a 6 in a stat, it must require decent to excelent RP and a bit of a backstory.

I've read multiple threads on this but still have some lingering questions.

When is this a good idea? What are the benefits?

What Race would be best? (I've thought about Drow and Dhampir)*I am thinking this is more a storyline issue than a what works best issue*

What happens in a group of 6 players, who are also as experienced as I am DMing and playing?

If one Race is not the answer, would making the pre-gens out of different races be an option?

I have decided on a Stat line of 16, 14, 12, 12, 10 and 10

My goal is to be as balanced as possible with the results, staying away from anything over an 18 (heck if 16 was the highest score, that would be great too)

Thanks for any advice or even criticism.

Hi there,

I'm a player and GM, looking for others who are in a similar situation. I work third shift, and one of my off day evenings is already a gaming night. However I am looking to add something to one of my days off, but during the day when I am off and my fiance is at work.

I was thinking 11-4pm on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

I live in CT, on the Mass/RI border and am close to Worcester and Providence.

I've never done online or play by post, and prefer meeting at a FLGS.

Anyone interested? Anyone with crappy hours or those days off because of odd shift/schedule?

Let me know!

If you have two ranged PCs, one happens to be a Rogue, can the Rogue get sneak attack and flanking? Diagram to follow:

R= rogue
PC = other PC
M = monster
x = feet

RxxxxMxxxxPC

Is this still flanking? and if that is the case, the Rogue would get sneak attack from ranged as long as the rogue was within 30' correct? Note there is no one in melee with the monster.

Is there a limit to this? Do both PCs have to be within the 30' or just the Rogue?
