The blade flashes in the air as it circles to bite into the creature. With the attack done, Jaska uses the momentum to shift her position to stand behind Bugjuice. She feels uneasy to turn her back on the bandit, but she also needs to protect the prisoner under her watch.

Looking around to make sure that there wasn't anyone else but the Kobold hiding, Jaska slowly comes out. You see a short woman, yet somewhat muscular, dressed in a mix of brown and green clothes. Her eyes go from one member of the group to another. She still holds her bow with an arrow ready, but for now it is pointed to the ground. "Greetings. From the diversity of your group and from what she said during the fight, you are either the weirdest group of bandit ever or the adventurers that I heard were hunting bandits." She keeps her distance for now, especially since she saw how fast the Catfolk moves. "I am Jaska Dilan, servant of Erastil." She waits to see how the group respond to her.

Walking in the forest, Jaska was upset with herself. How can I just lose sight of tracks that easily? She kept walking, hoping to find some more. This forest is crawling with bandits, and I can't find a single sign of someone passing through here? Looking up, she tries to find the sun through the branches, to make sure she was still going in the right direction. She walks for almost another hour when she hears a distant voice. What was that? Someone shouting? Couldn't make out the words. Well, at least it gives me a direction to move toward. No longer looking for tracks, she accelerates the pace.
As she gets nearer to the spot she thinks the voice came from, Jaska slow down. Don't know what I'm going to find there, better take a look before showing myself. Using the forest as cover, she moves closer. Like a predator, she moves quietly, readying her bow. As she gets a clear view of the situation, she evaluates the people she sees. Once she finds the biggest threat, she studies it for a few seconds, trying to learn its weaknesses.

I understand. I'm already running 3 games as a GM, I can run 4 but I'm keeping that for my Starfinder game when it comes out. Though I do have a game where Tide was a player that seem to be stalling right now. Not sure if it will get passed book 1. Tide himself hasn't posted in a long while there too.

Real life problem is understandable. Don't worry too much about it. This is and will remain a game. It shouldn't affect your personal life if you fall behind on it. The only thing that I would like is that you try to at least post in the discussion thread once a week to let us know you are still there. A simple "Hello still there, will post soon!" in the discussion thread would do.
So take your time to heal and relax. Have fun reading the gameplay, and when you are ready, make your post to move the story forward.

Jaska listens to the speech of the new "captain". Then, as Scourge list the tasks for the crew, she can't help but squeeze her hands into fists when he gets to her. Just you wait. It will be my pleasure to send you to a watery grave. She follows Lucien and start working. While she's able to do a fantastic job, she notices that Lucien is having issues. She tries to cover for the man as much as she can to avoid him a meeting with the "cat". At the end of the shift, she is rather tired and wonder how long they can keep this up.

Jaska wakes up and heads to the main deck. Once there, she leans on her longbow and listen to the Captain do his little speech. She feels a bit for the woman that was thrown overboard, but she should have known better. Then, when she told that she will be transferred to the other ship with Plugg and Scourge in charge, she Wonder what the future holds for her. Great, we go from one bad Captain to a worse one.
She quickly and quietly heads back down and grab all of her stuff. She then heads over to Grok before leaving. "Morning Quartermaster. Seems like I got transferred. I was wondering if you had anything else I could exchange my gold for before I head over to the other ship." She takes out a few gold and look at the half-Orc with a smile.

Tired of walking around the deck, Jaska heads below to sleep for the rest of the night. Once there, she passes near the little crazy goblin. She almost continued on her way when she notices that there are still some wounds on it. She tries to wake him up to get a consent for using magic on him, but it would seem he drank himself to unconsciousness. Oh well! I'm sure he won't mind. summoning the last of her divine energy for the day, she transfers it to the goblin, closing some of the wounds. Happy with the result, she heads to her sleep spot and, after a small prayer, drift off to sleep.

Jaska takes the half-eaten crab. "Thanks friend. I'll save it for a late snack." She pocket the crab. "Well, it's getting late for me. I'll leave you to your meal. If you need more healing, you let me know, ok?" She then stands and walk back on the main deck, looking around for some other ally that might need her last spell of the day for some Healing. If she finds none, she heads to bed.

You are a good man, and I would like to count you as a friend. You think we can be friends?" She waits for his answer with a big smile on her face.

Jaska walks toward Owlbear, trying to see if he still has any wounds from the fight. She has seen next to him, giving him time to notice her before she talks to him. When he does, she turns slightly to talk to him. "Hi there. I think I heard you got hit during the fight the other day. Did anyone come to take a look at your wounds? If you want, I could use some magic to heal you." She waits patiently for his answer, not wanting to be too invasive to the gentle giant.

"I knew we could come to an understanding." Jaska smiles at Grok as she places the gold on the nearby table. "As for the favor, let me know what you need, and if it's within my power, I'll be happy to help out a friend." With that, if Grok has nothing more to say, Jaska will pick her stuff out and heads to the main deck to plan her next move.

Thinking back in the event of the fight, Jaska remembers that the big brute got shot a few times by bolts. She tries to find him and sees if he's still injured. Always pays to have the big guy on your side...

"Thank you. Now that's a real weapon." Jaska looks over the weapon, making sure it's all in perfect order. "Now for the rest of the stuff. What would you prefer? Looking over some mundane stuff and a few acid flask that could break during the next battle and spoil some important stuff, or..." Digging into her coin purse, Jaska takes out some gold piece. "Would you rather have some nice and shiny gold that is easy to store and can be spent on some useful stuff... Like, I don't know, really good rum?" She flips the coin back and forth between her finger. "Now what would be the magic number that would make everyone happy?"

Jaska smiles at the quartermaster. "Yes, last night, after the fight, I realised just how poorly equip I was in that type of activity. Had to use a wooden stick instead of a proper weapon amount other things. Also, I had stuff in my pack that could've helped during the fight. I hope to get them back. I mean, it's not like anyone would mind if those would go missing from the store. Not after the big prize the Captain just got himself. Plus, I'd owe you a favor, and a favor from someone who has access to magic is never a bad thing." She moves a bit closer to Grok, extending a hand. "What do you say, do we have a deal?"

Eventually, Jaska nods to Kragor, and heads to bed. Hoping to find the quartermaster in a better mood the next morning. When she gets up, she uses some of her magic to heal her wounds. She then walks to the galley, hoping to find some food. She then walks up to the main deck to look at who's awake and if she can find Grok.

Having been turned down about her gear, Jaska wanders the deck. Seeing Kragor by himself on the side of the ship, she goes and join him. Then, when she sees Bleepos being punished for whatever he did, Jaska raises an eyebrow. "I just healed the little bugger..." She just sigh and turn around to look at the sea.
