Frustrated by his inability to find his new companion Janus heads back to the others. "Ceirn may be lost, or he may be right behind us, either way we should be moving. Lord Kunala, do you have a destination in mind? I'd prefer to exit this city, but I differ to your judgment."
"I suspect we will miss another trained fighter before this trip is done, although judging from his calluses our host at least has some training for that rapier he wears" When Ceirn does not quickly arrive Janus dismounts, placing a hand on his mare's neck he speaks softly, "Still," before dropping the reigns. He moves into the stream of the crowd and looks back, watching for the Aielman.
Janus gives a click of his tongue and turns Faile to head down the road. He rides with a straight backed ease, the reigns in his left hand relying on his knees and balance to guide the mare. He moves a quick pace for a quarter of an hour before pulling up to touch base with the rest of the crew.
As the Ebou Dari man approaches Janus tenses, as he realizes this he breathes the tension out, he looks to Kunala and responds. "There was a man watching us, I asked them to look into it. I think we need to get out of town as soon as possible. I do not feel comfortable."

Faile seems small next to Muad Dieb but she is calm and surefooted, she stands calmly while the warder mounts. Janus guides the mare sideways to clear some space for Niketsu to head to the path out of town.
"Let's get outside of town before we make any moves. It was Ceirn, right? If you keep an eye on him I'll keep an eye out for any friends he may have."
Stables: "Help get my hours saddled wile I see to the Lady's" he saddles Niketsu's horse. And gives his only a quick look, trusting the lad.
Tossing the hand a silver coin he asks, "Can you follow, and stay with the horses wile I gather my charge and our gear?"
Janus moves in to the stable, 'Get one calmed, let them calm the rest' he approaches the mare he has been riding since leaving the tower. "Hush, Shhh, calm Faile, you know me it is going to be ok."
Janus had been about to set the glass of wine down when the noises began, by the time the last bell of thunder stops the glass and the other patrons are forgotten. He turns to meet Niketsu incase she can not hear him, at least she can see his mouth. "I am going to check on the horses, incase we need to leave in a quickly!" even shouting he can barely hear his own voice. He turns and heads for the exit, and then to the stable.
Janus smoothly steps around Niketsu to pick up two of the glasses, taking a sip of his before handing the second to the sister.
Sorry for the lack of post, work went a little sideways as the hardware we where waiting on finally arrived so I had to spend a-lot of time deploying. Niketsu: I think to start he followed you to Tar Valon because one of your older brothers died saving his life and he feels it is his duty to do the same for you.
I think it would be interesting for him to begin to see you as a person as time goes on, Not the obligation to your dead brother or even the holder of his bond.
Janus steps back and to the left of Niketsu in the proper position of a Shambayan, to imply that he should not be counted, he also uses this as an opportunity to shield his sword hand from Brindie.
Janus looks to Niketsu then to the door and back to her with a question in his eye.
Janus is easily recognizable as a Borderlander, although it is clear he has been in the south long enough to have adopted the clothing if not the mannerisms. The warder begins to scan the room, his eyes start to dart from person to person when he almost hears Hammar's voice. 'Janus, you need to be able to fade into a crowd as well as you do the woods. Find your center, stop calling attention to yourself. You'll do your sister no favors by drawing attention.' He breathes in and imagines a single point of light surrounded by the void, he becomes the light protected by the void from the world around him. he opens he eyes again and waits for Niketsu Sedai.
Janus was a skinny youth, looked down upon by most boarder landers He came south escorting Niketsu as more of a groom then an armsman. It was Hammar that first saw potential in him. Hammar saw th eboys potential and offered him training as Gaidin. Janus feels he is not worthy of the title of warder, or of Niketsu Sedai's bond, but he is too stubborn to ever admit that.

@Robert Henry. The WoT Core book Specifically allows for Warder Sword for Warder's Sword. "...Alternatively, you can choose a rapier or Warder's sword, provided you can use it in one hand." I was in the middle of making Janus a Woodsman2\Dai'dore3 when I read the WoT feat. Thanks for the Pack, I need to shop.
Here is my Warder, I was not able to find the warder template. and I am not sure how I should do the Level 3 and 4 Forms. If we are under cover the fancloth cloak is packed away can I start with one? Should I pay for it? |
