Male Human Rogue 1

After the blast of light knocks the ogre flat but the bestial creature grabs Ianthe, the dagger appears back in Jansens hand as he moves around behind the creature holding the magus, trying to drive the blade into its back to make it release her.

"Get off her, um, whatever you are."

Attack(including flank) 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Sneak Attack 1d6 ⇒ 5

Bah, hopefully his penalty to dex is enough to make that happen.

Male Human Rogue 1

Being at 0 shouldn't put you prone. Unless you got hit again you can take a move or standard, but if you do anything strenuous then you drop to -1 and start bleeding.

Male Human Rogue 1

That was my perspective too, I thought she was more or less delaying to go after Kromoro.

With no monsters between us, it tends not to matter so much which order we actually act in with delaying a possibility.

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen's eyes go wide as the creatures just barrel into the group, muttering under his breath. When the dagger he had thrown suddenly appears back in his hand a small grin touches his lips as he gives silent thanks to Desna.

Ducking behind one of the rocks to make it look like he might be running away, he takes the moment to disappear from sight before popping up and letting the dagger fly at the injured ogre again, hoping to take it down quickly and maybe confuse the more dog-like creature with its master down.

Stealth 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Sneak Attack 1d6 ⇒ 6

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen glances over at Kromoro and smirks a bit "Ugly."

Male Human Rogue 1

Initiative 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Blast.

As the pair burst through into the clearing, Jansen lets fly with his new blade towards the one that spoke, muttering "Get this."

If they are at 30ft and its a surprise I should be getting my sneak attack in I suppose, so I'm going assuming that.

Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Sneak 1d6 ⇒ 6

Assuming we didn't have time to do the above actions before they came out, I can draw as a free action so I should still be able to get the toss out even if from the boulder.

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen flashes a quick nod to Caithan and the others before pushing up off his rock and onto his feet, twisting his wrists to let a dagger fall out of each of his wrist-sheathes into his hands to be at the ready. "Of course. It seems it would be good for all of us to be prepared for when a fight comes. Maybe some sparring?"

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen smiles towards Ianthe, giving a bow of his head "Of course, my head is all jumbled it seems and such pleasantries have been forgotten. I am Jansen of some acrobatic skill. My friend Kromoro here has an impressive link to the divine. Ghorum's ability with the axe is something to be feared." Haven't seen Ghorum in some time, so if he's not still around we can just drop that last line.

"I assumed you two have been traveling together, but I would have your names as well. I would have guessed that you are a warrior of some sort, Miss and he seems skilled with words."

Male Human Rogue 1

Blast! They are both taken! Now Jansen is stuck flirting with a goddess, someone who can very clearly beat him up, or a dwarf.

With the supplies split up, Jansen nods to the others and sets out on the trail with the elven guide. By the time a rest is called he's quite ready for it, while certainly athletic enough he's not very used to a forced march and keeping his feet's complaints internal has become harder so he slips up to sit on one of the rocks immediately.

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Assuming its not a trap, if it its, thats 1 higher.

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen looks at the bag, running his fingers over the butterfly stitched into it and giving a bit of a smile. He looks up at Ianthe and nods his head. "Indeed we do, and powerful backing I think it is."

He watches Caithan give Ameiko's hand a kiss and speak of wearing her favor with a raised brow, though he flashes the man a grin, speaking low in jest to the man. "I may be a bit more jealous had I not found myself distracted by another lady." He touches over the symbol once more before tucking it at his belt, ensuring the butterfly faces out so he can display it proudly.

As mentioned above, if the bag is better for anyone else I don't mind them holding it. I mostly just picked it up since no one hopped on it and it has an emotional tie for him.

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen gives a nod of his head to the two newcomers as well as a smile. "Whether it be the fault of madness or on our ways to glory, I am glad you all are at my side as well. I am not sure who has spoken to me, but somehow I do feel safer following her words."

When the bag is brought forth, he gives a small bow to Shalelu in appreciation before looking inside. He reads the note out-loud to the others before shifting through the various goods before passing them out, a quizzical look on his face when he sees the item clearly intended for Ianthe, even though she wasn't previously part of the group. He smiles some then and tilts his head

"A half-elf dropped these off to him, that we would understand the meaning of? I can only imagine my vision made flesh, unless that speaks to either of you." He glances to the two dwarves for any suggestions.

With that said, he carefully tries to place the book inside the new case without actually touching it if possible.

Unsure who wants to hold the bag. Will be good for the group as a whole.

DM

Spoiler:
I just had a quick question. I know I have a pretty fair idea of who is behind the visions, she's certainly left enough clues, but I know my character doesn't have knowledge religion since the gods are new to him. I do plan to change that as he becomes more religious, but I wasn't sure at what point it moves to something that even a layman might understand(the butterfly being a fairly well known thing, I imagine, even if the half-elf woman and visions in dreams may not be.)

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen gives Caithan a slight grin at his summation. "I certainly hope you are correct and madness is all it is. But think of what you have seen since arriving in town. If I am mad, then I believe we are headed to the asylum together."

Male Human Rogue 1

When Orik and Shalelu exchange their greetings, Jansen can't help but keep glancing towards the other two that have come down stairs. He gives Orik a non-committal shake of his head and raises a finger towards him to indicate that he needs a moment longer.

Standing, he makes his way over to the pair, leaning against the bar. "On another day, I may have been concerned about seeming crazy or at least tried to find a way to sound less so. Unfortunately, I don't believe I have the time and, quite frankly, I think we are well past crazy anyway."

He sighs for a moment, trying to consider his words. "I've never been a man who took stake in the gods until recently, fate to me was always in the roll of the dice either giving the coin for dinner or going hungry." A brief smile shows through "Or at least the skill of the wrist being able to influence those dice to come up how you wish, without getting caught. It seems I may have been more right than I was ready to believe, but it was all the scale that was wrong. Greater hands are at work in the happenings of this town but rather than simply a meal it seems the world's future may be what is at risk. However, something is trying to tip things in our favor."

"To be blunt, an ancient artifact has been unearthed in this town. That is what has been raising the dead and causing all this trouble. The artifact is not whole, that is all that is localizing the danger, but it is being called for by some being who wishes to repair and use it to take control and from all we have learned no place would be safe if that happens. I don't know what luck of the draw may have put us all in this place at once, lumped us together, but I believe that we are the only ones who have a chance to stop this before it happens. I have... had visions. The first pointed us in the right direction to warn us about this artifacts power, kept us from being pulled in by it. The second, told me that we could not do this alone. It came in images, but I believe that we need your help if we are to have any chance of success in this. It may be a lot to drop on you at once, it was a lot for us to have dropped on us as well, but if you think to leave town and we fail, I don't think it will matter where you have gone. Come with us and we may all have a chance."

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen sleeps little through the night, there are more important thoughts going through his mind than trying to rest even without the interference of occasional spirits.

When he comes down in the morning, he tries not to look towards Ven, trying to avoid further thoughts of what the troubled man is experiencing and that if they succeed what will happen to him.

His face does brighten a bit when he sees the elven woman, realizing that he isn't going to need to need to stay longer in this city just waiting. "Ah, yes, I'm quite glad you are here. I... Well I honestly can't say what we expect to find, but I believe we may find something that will help clear the town of some of its current woes."

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen frowns at the cold looks the two flash him, though he does follow in case his help is needed. "I swear to you I am not trying to be cold hearted. Ameiko, you saw what happened with Tsuto... We've seen much more of this around town. No one is, um, resting easily."

He tries to tiptoe around the wording a bit to keep from upsetting the man more than he is.

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen shakes his head at Caithan, keeping him held back "A bit broken, perhaps, but there is something bad happening in this town, obviously. Catch your breath, I will explain, I don't think there is any harm in that at this point." He glances up at the hanging man, a hint of sadness in his eyes showing that he hasn't quite gotten so hardened against these things that his plain speaking indicates.

Jansen looks over towards the two dwarves that accompany him, nodding towards the cleric of them "Is there anything that you can do without us having to get so close?"

Turning back towards the woman and man, he gives a bit of a shake of his head "Very simply, an item was accidentally unearthed in town. It appears to be causing the dead to 'wake' and seek out whatever vengeances they may have held from life. From what we have learned, it is a powerful thing, touching it can cause possession and for some reason healing has begun to fail nearby as well. Long story short, this item seems to be trying to awaken some old power and this doesn't look to be limited to just Sandpoint, especially if it ever succeeds. However, to destroy it I think we are going to need to tempt fate a bit, which is why we are waiting for this guide. I don't think simply hiding things away is an option."

He gives a tired shrug of his shoulders. "Your dagger was ready, friend and you seem to have a history of combat written in your scar so I speak plainly of these things that you should be on your guard. With luck this danger will follow us and we will extinguish it, but if you are capable warriors and intend to stay in this town, I am sure the people will be grateful to have your hand at the ready."

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen gives a small nod of his head at Ameiko's words, seeming to take such statements in stride at this point. "He's not? Of course not, it would be far to easy for such troubles to be localized..." He does seem to perk up a bit at the idea of a bath. He looks to the other two who seemed to be chatting with the bartender before she moves off and nods his head towards them. "Interesting time to come to town, friends. Would say I hope you are just passing through, but I suppose that doesn't matter so much."

He chuckles wearily for a moment, though more at his tiredness leaving him at a state that is the best jest he can come up with rather than at the joke itself. Then the scream cuts through the air and he looks up, seeing the swinging body behind Ameiko. When Caithan approaches he shakes his head and tries to grab the man's shoulder to keep him from getting too close "Careful, if he cuts you I wouldn't expect it to heal. This isn't the first such thing we've seen."

He gives a small shake of his head "Poor bastard. If he wanted to end his pain he chose the wrong week."

Male Human Rogue 1

Unless the sage has more to add, I don't have anything better in mind either. I would like to buy a more reasonable traveling case for the book, just a heavy leather backpack or the like, but that doesn't need to be played out.

I think right now the idea is just to try and hide out at the inn until something else disastrous happens or our guide gets there.

Male Human Rogue 1

I think Caithan and Ianthe are back at the inn while we are out by the lighthouse, Kromoro

Jansen sucks at his teeth for a moment, considering the man's words before giving a bit of a smile, his grim humor coming out with grim news. "I knew after a lovely boat ride and having my pockets filled with coin that the gods would ask for a return of investment. I didn't realize the debt was so high. I've been looking towards those gods blindly, thinking if I paid them some attention the favor may be returned and it certainly seems to have worked to that end. Perhaps I'd better actually learn a thing or two in this devotion since it seems that its all the wrong ones who listen."

"Well, in any case it seems that we need to restore the book to destroy it. I would imagine that if one piece was able to awaken this sleeper, with how completely they control their host it would have happened by now. Perhaps that is our chance. It wants to be made whole just as we wish it to be, even if for different reasons. In leading us to this place, perhaps its not where the sleeper lies, but rather then next piece of the book? We'd be struggling and disobeying a great power, but perhaps we could follow its lead to rebuild the book so it can be destroyed?"

"Either way, it sounds like we are best trying to lay low in town for a couple days so we can have a guide take us to the place mentioned by the grounds-keeper. Unless Brodert has a better idea, we don't have any other leads for the moment. I'd also like to take that time to find something else to store it in. As much as I love the idea of putting it in some sort of other dimensional hole or bag as I've heard of, I suspect that at the very least having something that it couldn't slip out of due to a stray dagger slice or a loose seam would be wise. If it wants to be free of us and we don't know exactly the powers it holds, we should probably make it as difficult possible."

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen nods his head to the man, somewhat subdued compared to his normal jesting. "Yes quite real, and as you can tell it has caused quite a stir back in town. Things are a big mess at the moment, unfortunately and we need to get rid of this thing, destroy it. I may not know much about the book, but I do believe the grounds keeper when he talked of this sleeper waking up and just what those ramifications would be. I'd rather not see that. I was hoping you might be able to help us in that regard. Give us an idea of what this sort of thing might do, why the creatures don't attack when we hold it, and how we can get rid of it. If you have any idea why healing seems to be stymied nearby it that would be very helpful too."

Male Human Rogue 1

Still holding the bag with the book in it, Jansen approaches the man. "Brodert? No, we aren't here to take artifacts just some knowledge. Orik directed us this way. A strange book was found in town and seems to have kicked off a great deal of odd happenings over the last couple days. We mean to do something about it, but I fear that none of us are very well versed in such knowledges. I hoped for your help. If you have a chance, there is much to talk about."

If he will take the time to listen, I'm willing to give him the entire story as detailed as possible. I'll show him the book but be careful to make sure he doesn't touch it.

Male Human Rogue 1

Hey, hey, hey! Jansen saw Ameiko first!

Welcome on board, glad to have you new folks posting with us.

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen frowns at the mention of healing not working as expected, running a hand through his hair "It seemed to work when I gave my best attempt at flight from that damn balcony. Odd thing to have go now. Though even if that power isn't totally lost to us, even it being unreliable makes this task even more daunting."

He looks to the others and shakes his head before giving a shrug of his shoulders towards Orik. "We don't know where we are headed, so if you have a guide I suppose it would be best, though I worry we will be a danger to your town keeping this book here. If you feel you are ready for us to stay an extra couple days, we will do just that. It will give us better time to prepare. I agree though, seeing this sage could be a good thing, the more armed we are the better and right now our wits could use a great deal of sharpening."

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen nods towards the dwarf, looking down at the bag with the book before slinging it over his shoulder. "Agreed. I thought it may be best to leave it with Orik in case we fail... But it sounds that would just endanger the town. Let us tell him what we have learned, what we plan. Perhaps he will have some advice for us. Then I think we had best go as immediately as possible."

Male Human Rogue 1

Looking forward to seeing you all in the game once you are set up. I think we're going to have a pretty good party.

As for where you are going to be joining us, I don't think you are going to have any trouble teaming up with us if you're willing to help. We're definitely ready to take whatever we can get.

Male Human Rogue 1

It is a pretty hard choice to make. We can certainly use a bit of Arcane powers. I think that Caithan had quite an interesting backstory and I don't doubt that Ghorum would appreciate having a little extra frontline help like could be provided with the Magus.

I'd be fine with us picking up 3 people if it wasn't too much for you. Having a full party does a lot to give us more to play off of among each other and can keep posts more steady since there will always be someone saying something.

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen stands watching the undead fall back to the cemetery or simply vanish from sight, his arm still raised with the dagger ready to fly. He raises a brow and glances to the others as Orik calls out, before slowly lowering his hand, returning the dagger to its sheath on his wrist. "Um... We vanquished them?"

He gives a shake of his head then, looking at the others again. "Honestly, I don't know just what happened. It seems we have a moments respite. There doesn't seem to be time to rest however, we should take this to press forward. We need stop this threat before it overwhelms us. I doubt we could handle a fight such as just threatened us."

He pauses then adds "Do you think we should take the book with us? If those creatures are attracted to it, it may not be safe to leave it in town."

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen frowns and starts to move forward though he halts when the creatures don't seem to pursue the guard and he gets away safely. "So it looks like they will fight back but don't give chase. Any ideas? Otherwise I'm sort of tempted to hit one with a dagger. Maybe we'll be able to kill them at range. Maybe just the one hit will come after us. Maybe we'll have a pack upon us. I'm open for suggestions."

Male Human Rogue 1

I'm fine with using the gamer connection too. I know a lot of good players on here, but I don't actually know if any of them are looking for a game. Fresh blood can be a good thing, feel free to bring in whoever you feel will be the best fit.

Male Human Rogue 1

When he touches one of the figments and seems to pass straight through it, Jansen will carefully reach out and touch one of them again, purposefully. He looks to the others with a raised brow. "Uh... Well it seems that these things aren't so dangerous... I somehow doubt the others are the same though, at least they look a bit more solid."

He smirks a little bit, raising his dagger as if he's going to give it a toss. "Shall we see if they come after us or if they are just going to keep watching? Maybe we'll be able to put them down without a fight. Its about time for our luck to change."

Male Human Rogue 1

Moving in a wide circle, Jansen will take Orik's advice and circle around the undead to get the beach at his back, keeping an eye on the creatures as he makes his way towards it. He moves slow enough that the rest of the party can keep up easily as long as the undead either simply watch him or only move towards him at an equal pace. If they try and rush him at any point he's going to break into a full run to the beach to get the fight out of the town proper.

Trying not to put up too much since I don't know what the others are up to. If you guys have any ideas, it would be great because I don't have a whole lot at this point. I'm just trying to keep the book away from them and the townsfolk out of it.

Also, about how many undead are we looking at, DM?

Male Human Rogue 1

DM, when I moved just a little bit, did they seem to try and keep the same distance?

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen raises a brow at Ghorum as he puts away his morningstar, keeping a dagger in hand, and reaches over to carefully take the bag from him. He flashes a small grin thats more brave than he actually feels. "Plan? You mean we aren't just playing this by ear?"

Nodding towards Kromoro, Jansen takes a couple of cautious steps back with the bag in hand, testing whether the undead advance to keep about the same distance from him, or if they continue to stay in place.

"Whatever we do, I think its going to be best to lead them out of town so no citizens get hurt. Does anyone know any spots nearby that may give us some sort of advantage? Cliffs or pits or hell, even a canyon that might be a tight squeeze for a big group? I don't think the water matters if you don't breath, and I have no idea if they can climb."

Male Human Rogue 1

DM, I am guessing I should be adding my HP gained from last level should be added to our current HP as well? As in, I've taken 5 damage and been healed 5 damage, so my health should be max even though my new total is higher?

Also assuming there would at least be a couple rounds before they get to us.

Frowning a bit, Jansen quickly snatches up the few daggers that he left littering the courtyard and returns them to his wrist sheaths, keeping one in hand along with his morningstar.

He glances towards Ghorum, trying to keep the mood slightly light before becoming more serious. "Maybe you should start chanting like you are crazy? That seemed to work before." He pauses and considers. "Maybe we can trick them somehow? Those others didn't seem to even notice us as we killed them off one at a time until they were attacked, they were totally focused on the caretaker with the book. Maybe we can put something dangerous between the book and them? It sounds foolish, but they might just walk off a cliff."

He looks over at the dwarf again, particularly at his shorter stature. "I'm light on my feet and have done my fair share of tumbling when I was performing. If you want me to hold the book I can, I suspect your strength will do more good against these things than my daggers would anyway."

Male Human Rogue 1

Considering, Jansen scratches his chin a bit "I do believe we should look in to discovering whatever is causing this as soon as possible, there may be some things we should look into before we head out. I might suggest informing Orik of what has happened and surrendering the book to him. He seems capable and should keep it safe. He also seems the most likely to be able to actually convince someone to send some sort of reinforcements, perhaps from one of the larger towns to be coming up behind us should... Well, you know. If things don't work. This thing still needs to be kept from waking. We also may wish to find out if anyone knows what this 'glutton' is or that weird symbol the caretaker was guided to move the graves into meant. Better to go into things prepared."

Can wait until just before we rest for the night, just in case something comes up that the spells are better used for, but before we re-prep spells I could certainly use a little more healing love.

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen rubs the man's shoulders as he cries himself out while he listens. When the man is finished speaking he turns to the others and adds his own little story. "There wasn't much time to explain earlier. When I was down it felt like I was dying, but there was some sort of voice there that spoke to me until Morzane pulled me back. It told me something was awakening, just beginning to stir after a great period of rest. That whatever this book is wasn't meant to be found and has triggered all of this and the awakening of 'others'. Whatever this thing is that awakes, I was warned it will devour the world if left unopposed."

He frowns a bit at that, rubbing his own chin. "I don't know who this 'glutton' is that the voice spoke of, nor any of these others are but I do believe what I heard. While the idea of meeting something that is made of pieced together corpses is quite frankly about as terrifying as I can imagine, I have to think that if things aren't stopped before this awakening happens, it will only be worse."

Male Human Rogue 1

I wanted to put up a quick apology. I was going to be traveling from sunday night to monday night, I thought it was going to be short enough that it wouldn't even be noticed since I'd be posting again within 24 hours. However, my flight home got canceled and I was stuck across country without my laptop(due to the perceived shortness of the trip).

I just got back in now and am going to be catching up on posts and putting up my own.

Thanks for your patience.

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen shakes his head at Kromoro, something clicking in his mind from his moment of unconsciousness. He grabs for the groundskeeper to try and keep him from running free, looking towards Ghroum since the dwarf seems like the best chance to actually keep the man held.

"Wait, we better know what we are running into. I know this is going to sound crazy, but I heard a voice after that creature hit me. It told me that something was uncovered that wasn't supposed to be. It spoke of a Master too, but it said he was waiting for his chance to rule. What if it was the groundskeeper who found what he shouldn't have, dug a grave and found this book? I thought those creatures were trying to attack him, but they just came and stood in front of him while he chanted until the mud fell off the one. Maybe he made them or at least 'woke them up'? I don't want to risk letting him wake up this Master, at least not without knowing what it is and how to stop it permanently."

Oh, and just in case its needed.

CMB 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Male Human Rogue 1

I rolled on the discussion board, but can go with whatever the DM wants. I added rolled HP to my max, but haven't updated current to reflect it.

Jansen glances to the others. "Be careful of the book he holds. There was something odd about it, it drew the eye and didn't want to let it go. You saw how it held sway even over those monsters. There is something very unnerving about it, and this comes from a man who just had a facefull of grave dirt. Let us be sure he is alright and then I think we have much to speak of. I had a vision of sorts while I was sprawled out. Not something I imagine was created by my own minds eye."

Putting away his morningstar, Jansen will carefully approach the groundsman. Trying to be wary to not touch or even look at the book in his hands too closely he'll lean in. "Sir, are you alright? You're safe now."

If that doesn't work he'll look to those who actually have some skill at healing.

Male Human Rogue 1

Changes to my character sheet for easy reference

Spoiler:
+5 HP
+1 Reflex
+1 BaB
Evasion
Rogue Talent: Combat Sense(Point Blank Shot)
Skills(11: 8 rogue, +1 int, +1 human, +1 favored class)
+1 to Acrobatics, Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, Perception, Sense Motive, Sleight of Hand, stealth, UMD
+2 to Disable Device(I didn't put a rank in this at first level? What kind of rogue am I?)

I'll run this through herolab tonight so the formatting might change a bit, but its all been added in by hand for now.

Male Human Rogue 1

Rolling for HP and woo-hoo evasion!

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Male Human Rogue 1

Not that I hit anyway, but I screwed up my damage roll above.

Damage 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Male Human Rogue 1

Frowning that the creature still lives after what he considered quite a good throw, Jansen pulls another of his daggers from his belt as he presses up against the wall of the shack once more before flicking the dagger out at the creature.

Move to draw and hide, standard to throw. Assuming the wall still gives me cover from him to hide.

Stealth 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Attack(-4 for ranged into melee) 1d20 ⇒ 9
Damage 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Sneak Attack 1d6 ⇒ 5

DM

Spoiler:
I try and put as much info into my poses, what actions I'm doing, what modifiers I'm using, ect, into my poses as possible that way if one of my assumptions is wrong you know what to adjust for in your response. I know some DMs prefer a more narrative game without all the mechanics out in the open though. Do you have a preference?

Male Human Rogue 1

Seeing that the monstrosity is something of flesh and blood gives Jansen some hope, even if the creature is something frightful. He presses in against wall of the shack at the doorway, trying to get out of its view to catch it by surprise as he drops his other wrist-sheathed dagger into a hand, flicking it through the doorway at the monster.

Should be move action to give myself the ability to hide, free to draw the dagger(no more in wrist sheathes now), and then standard to attack.

Stealth 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Attack(no modifiers) 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Sneak Attack 1d6 ⇒ 6

Crit Confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Crit Damage 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Edit: Wow!

Male Human Rogue 1

I agree, DM. It is probably better if we just pretend my action didn't happen last round.

Male Human Rogue 1

Jansen glances towards the others, calling out "Something odd about that book, but he seems to be able to distract them with whatever he is doing. If we can keep just one of their attention at a time, thats all the better."

With that said he advances on the mudman, bringing the morningstar into both hands to deliver as hard of a blow as possible.

From the description I picture the mudman is still in the doorway. If he is somewhere I can get behind him without going through him, then I'll try for it, tumbling if needed but counting on my mobility AC if that fails.

Attack(not counting flank if I can get it) 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Sneak Attack(in case) 1d6 ⇒ 1

Acrobatics(if needed) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Well that was a lot of rolls for little purpose.

Male Human Rogue 1

Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Male Human Rogue 1

Your heal put me back to where I was after the drop from the balcony, 4/9.

Opening his eyes as the wave of healing washes over him, Jansen sucks in a breath and flashes a pained smile up at Morzane. "We've got stuff to talk about, and I don't just mean the walking dirt. Lets get this taken care of..."

Not 100% sure where things are, if its the one that was next to me which attacked Ghorum or not. If there is one adjacent to me, I'm going to stand up(provoke but have 23AC with mobility), free action to bring out my other wrist sheath dagger and attack it. I'll five foot step if necessary or if that gives me a flank. If one isn't next to me, I'm going to stand up and draw my morningstar instead.

Attack(no modifiers) 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Damage 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Sneak(if app) 1d6 ⇒ 5

I just wanted to give a quick apology for being quiet the last days. Sniffles at the beginning of the week turned into a pretty harsh flu and I've spent the last few days hiding in bed pretty much the whole time. Catching up on posts and putting up my own now.

Fort 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

Whether that succeeded or not, the hit puts me out at -4. Ouch.

That creepy doll's eyes are the last thing Jansen sees as his eyes roll back in his head and he falls back into the mud.
