Background: Living as a hunter/trapper/logger, Jaed spent the vast majority of his time beyond the boundary of civilization, which suited him fine. The decadence of city-folk always annoyed him, and he would find ways to upset them whenever he thought he could get away with it.
One night, after a few to many ales, he thought it would be a good idea to urinate on an altar of Mitra. After donning the regalia of the local high priest, and thinking the temple empty, he did so. Sadly for him, he forgot the time, and just as he was about to strip off the clothes and shred them, five Mitrans arrived to make ready for the morning ceremonies. One of them the high priest, another....Sir Balin of Karfield. The famous Sir Balin of Karfield, known for hunting defilers of the faith. Due to his drunken state, it was no challenge to subdue him.
Now, Jaed is in rags, waiting for the stake and the flame.
Jaed stands there, still paralyzed.
Um, the roll to hit me with its claw was made using a d203. Just thought I'd point that out.

Seeing the mummy, Jaed grins and says, "Now there's something my blades are good against." He slings his bow and draws his swords, again and waits for Xane to make a path towards the mummy.
Will save vs. despair: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
And I'm paralyzed with fear...
"Wait..wait...wraith? Oh crap...." He sheathes his swords and readies his bow.
Sorry, I was called into work today.
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Jaed draws his swords and waits for a skeleton to get within charge range.
"Well, this shouldn't be an overly complicated fight, they are just skeletons." He chuckles and winks at Xane.
"Greetings Asara, I am Jaed." He bows.
Seeing the reaction of one of the people apparently returning to the group, Jaed says, "I am Jaed, a tengu. We're not very common in this region, but if you ever find yourself in Tian'Xia, you should see a fair amount, so I was told by my parents."
He continues after the other person, who appears to be a half-elf, "Wait, what's going on? I wasn't close enough to hear any conversation you had with the skeleton."
"Well, we wouldn't want my favorite tavern in this port getting trashed without us, would we?"
He looks towards the rest of the group. "Greetings, I am Jaed. Xane and I spent time aboard the same ship. I'm not much of a sailor, but I have...other talents." He winks and pats his twin falcatas.
Jaed moves up to Xane and says, "Hey! Pay attention! I asked you what trouble you've gotten us into now?"
Jead is hiding on the town side of camp, just off the path. He does his best to remain hidden as the skeletons pass, heading for town.
Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
Once the skeletons are gone, Jaed move from hiding and approaches the camp, glancing over his shoulder every few steps.
Howdy all, stabbity birdman is ready to roll and role.
Accepting the note, Jaed takes a moment to read it, then says, "Yes, this is a letter from Tsuto to Ameiko. According to the letter, they are siblings. He is apologizing for some argument they had in the past, and asked her to meet him at the Glassworks. He's staying there, in a store room beneath the production room, according to the letter. He tells her to use the beach entrance to avoid being observed by the 'local rubes'." He holds the note out for someone else. "Anyone know of this Tsuto?"
Jaed asks, "May I have a look?"
Jaed strikes with a single blade at each goblin flanking him.
SW Goblin: 1d20 ⇒ 11
NE Goblin: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10
Missing both.
GM Austin, could we get an overall update as to the state of things, please and thank you.
Round 4
After the goblin drops, Jaed takes a 5 ft. step west and swings at the goblins in H10(main) and I10(off-hand).
Main Attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Off-hand Attack: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 1
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Round 3
After seeing the goblin he attacked go down, Jaeb moves 30 ft. south to get a clear path to the group of goblins there.
I already stated my actions for Round 2.
Round 2 actions:
If the goblin I charged is still up and hasn't run away, Jaed will attack with both his blades.
Main attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11 Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Off-hand attack: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (16) - 2 = 14
If there is no goblin within reach, then Jaed will charge the nearest.
Charge attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Austin Morgan wrote: (18??) Jaed * I'm guessing the second roll was supposed to be Initiative, so I just calc'd from that d20. doh! I missed rolling for Initiative....
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
As soon as a clear path opens to a goblin, Jaed will charge.
Charge Attack with mwk falcata: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Pre-fight conversation with Father Zantus: Silas blushes at getting to talk to a real priest in the service of Desna. "I'm sorry sir, but I don't know."
On to the fight! :)
Percetion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
"Silas, stay with Father Zantus!" Says Jaed as he's drawing his swords and scanning the area for additional threats, trusting Silas to do as he's been told.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 (+1 traps)
As the priest is announcing the time grows near for the ceremony, Jaed calls to Silas, "Your father wanted me to make sure you got a good view of things. If you still aspire to one day be a priest in the service of Desna, one thing you should know is that swallowtail butterflies are also known as The Children of Desna.
While keeping a close eye on Silas, the 10 year old son of his patron, Jaed is scanning the crowd for anything of interest, especially troublemakers, and easy marks.
Knowledge (local): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10+1 vs. traps
Noticing Silas growing a little distant in the crowd, Jaed says, "Keep close Silas, I wouldn't want your father keeping me another 5 years because you got yourself trampled by a crowd."
"Greetings gents. How are we this fine day?"
Ready to rock and role.
