You are very close to my 3 weeks old idea which was presented in this forum. Very good that there are more and more people noticing great potential of Mark of Death in AoW.

I take dragonshard from your story.:) In case of Labyrinth, I chose Maruk clan (Silver Flame binding Kayus again)instead of TRUE drangonmarked army

"First sketch

Kyuss, the only elf with Siberys Mark of Death had been lost in Xen'drik and in time before the line of Vol was exterminated.

Dragotha (main minion of Erandis d'Vol today and fallen member of the Chamber in the forgotten past) and Emerald Claw work hard to release Kyuss once again into the world and their plan is reaching its final stage. Erandis believes that thanks to Kyuss released, the Mark of death revive. She does not know or does not want to know that she must be destroyed in the final stage of the process cause her existence blocks Kyuss (Mark of Death) revive. This is why in "Into the wormcrawl Fissure" PCs may ally with Dragotha who is devoted to Erandis d'Vol.

The nation off Redhand I’m going to convert to Karrnath which in time of final adventures will be torn by civil war between Emerald Claw + Blood of Vol followers against Kaius III loyalists. Third party involved in this war will be the Silver Flame crusade.
Other nations will be preoccupied with internal omens of cataclysm (AGE OF WORMS), main Darguuns raids and Lord of Blades activity.

prince Zeech = Kaius III"

In general, though, I am reconsidering whether I am going to use the whole AP in Eberron. It seems to me that it will likely require almost as much work as it would if I was just doing my own stuff. I love the story, and I love the general concepts as conveyed by the Overload document, but I must admit that it was the Overload doc that kinda "woke me up."

No matter how you slice it, AoW really is a Greyhawk-centric AP

The Overload woke me up as well but this thread made me think and idea was born. 100% Eberron like idea.

A couple suggestions:

1.You could have it be that House Cannith workshop in the Mournland, in the expanded map in Five Nations, Cannith 12, with the contamination/taint/chaos-if-ication of the Gearspring Well being caused by the Day of Mourning.

2.Right now, I can't recall the derro's place in Eberron (or core D&D, for that matter), but they could have come up from Khyber or could be replaced with 'forged gone wild.

3.The tie to Mechanus could be replaced/explained by the Cannith research. Maybe they were researching into the ultimate construct, or their research involved a construct that was more like a life-form in that it was composed of individual organisms tied together by a mechanical/magical link.

Good Luck!!

thx a lot WaterdhavianFlapjack

you have opened the first door :)

Hey All,

any suggestions how to dm this great adventure in Eberron?

I face major problems with background, plane (Mechanus) and Derro. on the other hand this adventure seems very eberron like or Cannith like but how to incorporate it.

thx for assistance.

yes

I’ve already read the Eberron conversion notes for AoW and am grateful to have them. Reading the adventure and the backdrop I noticed that there are a lot of NPCs with several PC levels. Even some of the ladies of the evening are 5th level rogues. This seems to run against the general makeup of Eberron adventures where PC levels are scarce.

Has anyone attempted to reduce the amount of PC levels or does that much tinkering affect the story too much?

Thoughts?

Rooster

in most cases I change PC classes to NPC classes

fighter to warrior, rogue to expert etc

hehehehe!

Eberron rules!

Yes - I look for eberron staff and use it and thank you Paizo for this content

I understand that WotC is probably riding you guys to push this stuff as hard as you can, but this reader's opinion: I would guess that a low single-digit percentage at best of your readers are using Eberron, especially if the rumors about how it's fallen far short of WotC sales goals are true.

bit of WotC info concerning sales goals http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=418582&page=2

No one outside of Hasbro/WotC has accurate sales figures for any Wizards of the Coast products, so anyone making claims about such information is either extrapolating from anecdotal-and-thus-unreliable data (such as the sales at their particular retail outlet or distributor) or simply making it up.

For any Hasbro employee to discuss such figures in any detail would be inappropriate at best and illegal at worst. While Eberron products may well represent only a tiny, tiny fraction of the company's overall product line, it's still a violation of both company policy and, potentially, U.S. law to divulge such information. Hasbro is a publicly traded company and thus must obey a long list of rules and regulations detailing how and when it can release financial data (and believe me, posting it on message boards in response to questions doesn't fall into the category of acceptable).

Though I'm only a lowly developer, with little ability to affect the overall business realities of the universe, I will say this: Eberron has a lot of strong supporters around here, including RPG R&D Director Bill Slavicsek (who wields a bit of influence), and a number of Eberron products are in the pipeline (in fact, I'm just finishing up development on one of those), so I don't think the line is in any risk of fading any time soon.
