Jaazkara accompanies the others as they look into finding witnesses and representatives for their legal matters, then busies herself wandering the city. She buys wine to refill her skin and walks the streets filled with a multitude of varied faces. Varied lives. She wonders at what sort of guardian forces it must take to keep a place so massive and populous under anything resembling order. Again, she listens to the derelict she finds along her way, giving them a few coins for their time and stories. I try and make my way to areas I havent seen on my previous bout of wanderlust, if at all possible. Jaazkara explores the city in bouts like she would delve a dungeon

For her part, Jaazkara looks confused as to the proceedings and the inner workings of "Law" in a city as large as this one. She spends most of the time asking Tai Leng and Cyrus rather naive questions and becoming more confused by the resultant answers. In the end she feels a bit bewildered, as well as inappropriately proud to have had direct involvement with the ruling authority of the city. She thanks all officers and officials that speak with them, and waves to Reeve Thornes as she is departing.

Jaazkara tries not to betray her association with her companions, but listens closely as they exchange words with the authorities. Finally, when she sees her friends surrendering their equipment, she steps forward and gives Cyrus and Tai Leng a sidelong glance with raised eyebrow ridge.

Thank you sir, and the same to you and yours as well Jaazkara marvels constantly at the sheer amount of people around, to the point of several near-panic attacks, then eventually realizes that this must be normal. After a while, she takes into her mind for the first time the idea of her own inexperience. It is not a pleasant reckoning. Jaazkara takes note of the interesting stories she hears from the beggars, and relates the most ominous ones to Cyrus upon seeing him. When asked about the future joint venture, she says that as the newcomer, she doesnt feel inclined to make any decisions, but that her preference would be for the vessel. She then states that while she doesnt know anything about manning such a ship, she is a fast learner and good at taking directions while also being willing to learn.

Jaazkara awakes with the sun and seeks out a modest morning meal, then sets about maintaining her gear and preparing for travel. When neither of her companions are to be found, she leaves a message for them saying she'll return shortly and busies herself walking the city's streets to familiarize herself with it. If an opportunity presents itself, she gives coin to beggars in exchange for their gossip, then returns to the tavern

Jaazkara, unused to such a diverse crowd, takes in the scenes of the various groups of races intermingling pleasantly. She stares perhaps a slight bit rudely at each group, smiling awkwardly and nodding if any notice. After looking about she orders a bottle of wine and a hot meal, and begins working her weapon with a whetstone while she waits.

yes. seeing it wounded and near death was enough for her to place all her hope and her very life in the strength of that one desperate attack; to Hell with the consequences! So, from yer ruling, I take it that to run, jump, and come down attacking a lower monster, I need only make an Acrobatics check and then the attack roll? I'm hoping this is the case as I just realized I was up and wanted to act...dramatically Jaazkara, wounded to near falling, shrugs off the attacks with difficulty and takes a running jump headlong towards the monster's shadowy form beneath the waters and strikes down hard! Jaazkara looks to the distorted sight of the creature beneathe the waters, making a quick judgement before leaping -quite literally- into action! The lizardwoman takes a few short steps back, never looking away from the beastly apparition in the waters. She raises her polearm above her head to use it as a spear, then bolts forward suddenly and leaps at the edge of the small island, aiming to drive her weapon into the beast from above...or leave herself dreadfully vulnerable to it. Can I make a Perception to get a better view of it?

Caught off guard and too late to react quickly, Jaazkara finally gathers her wits about her and brings her polearm around to try and strike the monstrosity! With this she nods and moves towards the well to descend. Below, she immediately draws her weapon and looks at the scene playing out with detached concern and interest. Jaazkara maintains her non-threatening demeanor as she continues her approach. She thinks a moment, then speaks confidently. "Be at peace, little cousin; 'dese warmbloods are...different. 'Dey have shown 'demselves to be. 'Dey not harm Jaazkara, and we no harm you, yes? Come, talk wid' us. Jaazkara share her food, and wine. And maybe we talk about 'dis place? Or 'dee o'dders you say come before us...?" The lizardwoman displays uncharacteristic tact when she speaks to the little kobold, seeming sincere. She shrugs her pack to her side and rummages for her wineskin and some travel foods. She thinks to herself as she gathers the makings of a small but filling meal. "I really hope he talks to us; I don't want the others to think there's reason to hurt him."

"Calm down, cousin; Jaazkara no wish to 'haert you. Can you tell what happen here? Will you speak to Jaazkara?" As she speaks she walks slowly, and tries to fill her voice with genuine benevolence. So...I guess I should roll Diplomacy?

Jaazkara nods, then speaks while helping to gently pick the unconscious man up and carry him to the cart. "Jaazkara is looking for adventure. To see more of dee world. The lizardwoman smiles in a friendly manner, but it ends up being all teeth and does little to offset the nature of her statement.
