A bit of thread necromancy for a related(ish) question. When an Arcanist takes the Bloodline Development, are the saving throws set using Sorcerer level 1? I know that many things are (such as 1d4 + 1 per 2 level from Celestial) set using level 1, but does it base as 1st level:
Are these DCs [10 + 1 (sorc level) + Cha] or [10 + 1/2 arcanist + Cha]?
The issue was that the SR entry in a spell usually refers to the target of the spell, which is the person being scryed on. Since it is a personal spell, it makes sense that your own SR wouldn't apply since the spell is being cast on yourself. The argument that the SR would apply is because the second part of detect scrying is basically a reverse scry, and scrying is blocked by the target's SR. |
