Awesome. I am definitely not familiar with the system enough to make that decision. It does seem that using the term 'identify' in this context is either exceptionally limiting or misleading. Assuming that all gobbos are gobbos puts a ceiling to the ability with Additional Knowledge and thus the utility of it. Allowing it to just work without the Additional Knowledge aspect seems, to me anyways, to make the ability almost overpowered. But, again, I have literally never run a PF2E game as of typing this, so I could be wrong on all accounts. Any kind of guidance would be helpful at this point.
There are 3 questions here, so I'm not sure which was answered. So let's get more specific. Mastermind Lex encounters Two goblins, A and B. He successfully Recalls Knowledge on A and now A is Flat-footed. The fight continues. He then trues to Recall Knowledge on goblin A again, is this at a higher DC using Additional Knowledge? Let's assume it is, but Mastermind Lex kills the gobbo anyways. Mastermind Lex then decides to Recall Knowledge on goblin B. Is this going to be a normal Recall Knowledge check or, since he is also a goblin, will this be an increased DC again due to Additional Knowledge? What happens when Mastermind Lex encounters the goblin revenge squad a few months later? Does his Recall knowledge "reset" or does it continuously increase in DC?

Hello all, I am currently converting a race over from Hero System to Pathfinder using the ARG. The race is, thus far, a Standard race at 10RP and I need to get one more Trait...All-Around Sight. Based on Point Value alone, this will increase the Power Level to Advanced. No problem at all. However, the Trait I need is a Monstrous level trait, which means, as near as I can tell, I would have to spend about 6-7 more RP just to reach the 20RP minimum for Monstrous power level, just so I can get a single Trait. Is there a work around? Do I have to meet the minimum RP listed in the table for the Monstrous Power Level? I'd to have to tack on a bunch of additional Traits that don't reflect the race at all, just to get a single trait that does. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
D3 Games is currently looking at converting our Kamarathin Setting over to Pathfinder. Right now we're discussing the potential and feasibility of a project like this, but the setting is very much low-magic, somewhere between Sword & Sorcery and Golarion.
Hello all, I haven't picked up D1: Crown of the Kobold King, but plan to. I do have D0: Hollow's Last Hope and in there, it mentions removing all references to the illness if planning on using D0 in conjunction with D1. Considering that the illness is pretty much the driving force behind the D0 adventure, is there an explanation in D1 as to why this reference should be removed?

This sounds perfect, actually. I've got Hollow's Last Hope. I'm currently running these player's and a couple others through nearly every adventure path that has been released (except CotCT and CoT) concurrently. Kinda limits my adventure path thefts. :) But these Kobold King one's seem perfect. Thank you all for the suggestions and advice.
Power Word Unzip wrote: Isn't "We Be Goblins" also set in or near western Varisia? Yeah, but that assumes the PC's are goblins. :) Power Word Unzip wrote: Also, Seven Swords of Sin might be a good one if you don't mind side-tracking your group off to Kaer Maga - it's set in Varisia, but a good hoof away from Sandpoint if my map skills haven't failed me. That's a 7th level adventure, the party is currently 1st and about halfway to 2nd. I'm really trying to avoid having to either write up my own adventure (I don't have the time) or say 'No' to the PC's, but it's starting to look like I may have to. It's a PBP game and they are getting ready to 'camp' for the night and then beeline for the Job Board in the morning. Y'know, campaigns would go a lot smoother without PC's...heh
James Jacobs wrote: Pathfinder #49 does indeed have an adventure that takes place partially in the Sandpoint Hinterlands (in Brinestump Marsh, to be exact), and that volume will also have a short article about the Sandpoint Hinterlands that will present a lot of adventure hooks for the region. #49? Is that after the Carrion Crown adventure path?
Hello all, I was wondering if any of you know of any modules that take place around Sandpoint (or near by) other than the Rise of the Runelords adventure path. My players have been showing signs of looking over the Help Wanted board in the Rusty Dragon and I want to be prepared just in case. Preferably low-level adventures and I'm not concerned about them being 3rd party or Paizo written. |
