I can work with that.

Sczarni

Awesome. I am definitely not familiar with the system enough to make that decision.

It does seem that using the term 'identify' in this context is either exceptionally limiting or misleading.

Assuming that all gobbos are gobbos puts a ceiling to the ability with Additional Knowledge and thus the utility of it.

Allowing it to just work without the Additional Knowledge aspect seems, to me anyways, to make the ability almost overpowered.

But, again, I have literally never run a PF2E game as of typing this, so I could be wrong on all accounts.

Any kind of guidance would be helpful at this point.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

There are 3 questions here, so I'm not sure which was answered. So let's get more specific.

Mastermind Lex encounters Two goblins, A and B. He successfully Recalls Knowledge on A and now A is Flat-footed. The fight continues.

He then trues to Recall Knowledge on goblin A again, is this at a higher DC using Additional Knowledge?

Let's assume it is, but Mastermind Lex kills the gobbo anyways.

Mastermind Lex then decides to Recall Knowledge on goblin B. Is this going to be a normal Recall Knowledge check or, since he is also a goblin, will this be an increased DC again due to Additional Knowledge?

What happens when Mastermind Lex encounters the goblin revenge squad a few months later? Does his Recall knowledge "reset" or does it continuously increase in DC?

Here is the original Kickstarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2063410154/nystuls-infinite-dungeon

Castle Nystul is pleased to announce that D3 Adventures will be taking over as publishers of the Infinite Dungeon product line.

(to backers) Perks such as minis, art prints and keys will be fulfilled by Castle Nystul. D3 has agreed to honor our commitment to you to include Volumes 1 and 2 as part of your investment. When it becomes available it will be sent to you.

We are very pleased that the Dungeon has a new home at D3 and we have every faith that they will make the very most of this line.

D3 Adventures will be making a full announcement detailing their plans on their website www.d3adventures.com in the coming weeks.

Hm, that sounds like a solid solution. Thank you, sir.

Hello all,

I am currently converting a race over from Hero System to Pathfinder using the ARG.

The race is, thus far, a Standard race at 10RP and I need to get one more Trait...All-Around Sight. Based on Point Value alone, this will increase the Power Level to Advanced. No problem at all.

However, the Trait I need is a Monstrous level trait, which means, as near as I can tell, I would have to spend about 6-7 more RP just to reach the 20RP minimum for Monstrous power level, just so I can get a single Trait.

Is there a work around? Do I have to meet the minimum RP listed in the table for the Monstrous Power Level?

I'd to have to tack on a bunch of additional Traits that don't reflect the race at all, just to get a single trait that does.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

So, would Chicago be a good comparison for Tamran? At least weather wise?

Sczarni

Hello all,

I was wondering if I could get some comparative info about the weather and climate in Nirmathas, possibly the name of a real world city that the weather in Tamran.

Also, the lat and long of Tamran would be helpful as well.

Sczarni

Yes, in my own fumbling way, that is exactly what I was asking. :)

Thanks

Will the Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Combat be available to 3P Publishers?

Sczarni

D3 Games is currently looking at converting our Kamarathin Setting over to Pathfinder.

Right now we're discussing the potential and feasibility of a project like this, but the setting is very much low-magic, somewhere between Sword & Sorcery and Golarion.

Sczarni

Ah, ok, so I need tog et that map, then. :)

Thanks

Sczarni

Can anyone tell me where, exactly, the town of Kessan is located on the Golarion Map?

Sczarni

Thanks, I already have enough conversion work to do to make this fit near Sandpoint, not having to rewrite D0 certainly helps.

Sczarni

Hello all,

I haven't picked up D1: Crown of the Kobold King, but plan to. I do have D0: Hollow's Last Hope and in there, it mentions removing all references to the illness if planning on using D0 in conjunction with D1.

Considering that the illness is pretty much the driving force behind the D0 adventure, is there an explanation in D1 as to why this reference should be removed?

The Paizo gamemastery adventures "Crown of the Kobold King" and its prequel "Hollows last Hope" are set in a generic country hamlet. Hollows last hope is very short and would easily work as a side trek adventure. Make the old monastary thassilonian for flavor if you want.

You could easily set it in the whisperwood right next to Sandpoint. Simply substitute the word "Goblin" for "Kobold" and voila, a converted adventure for the region. The statistics for goblins and kobolds are so close anyhow, I probably wouldn't even bother to change the statistics for the kobolds, Id just cosmetically change them to goblins.

If you want to get fancy, tie the "goblins" into one of the other 5 goblin tribes in the area. Perhaps that tribe took up refugees from the Thistletop goblins after the PC's attack thier compound. Or if the PC's haven't gotten that far yet, perhaps the new tribe is collecting sacrifices to present to the Thistletop goblins. There s a ton of variations needed with minimal conversion necessary.

This sounds perfect, actually. I've got Hollow's Last Hope.

I'm currently running these player's and a couple others through nearly every adventure path that has been released (except CotCT and CoT) concurrently. Kinda limits my adventure path thefts. :)

But these Kobold King one's seem perfect.

Thank you all for the suggestions and advice.

Isn't "We Be Goblins" also set in or near western Varisia?

Yeah, but that assumes the PC's are goblins. :)

Also, Seven Swords of Sin might be a good one if you don't mind side-tracking your group off to Kaer Maga - it's set in Varisia, but a good hoof away from Sandpoint if my map skills haven't failed me.

That's a 7th level adventure, the party is currently 1st and about halfway to 2nd.

I'm really trying to avoid having to either write up my own adventure (I don't have the time) or say 'No' to the PC's, but it's starting to look like I may have to.

It's a PBP game and they are getting ready to 'camp' for the night and then beeline for the Job Board in the morning.

Y'know, campaigns would go a lot smoother without PC's...heh

Yes, #49 will be the first one after Carrion Crown.

Hrm, long time to wait. I'll have to keep looking, then. :)

Pathfinder #49 does indeed have an adventure that takes place partially in the Sandpoint Hinterlands (in Brinestump Marsh, to be exact), and that volume will also have a short article about the Sandpoint Hinterlands that will present a lot of adventure hooks for the region.

#49? Is that after the Carrion Crown adventure path?

Sczarni

Hello all,

I was wondering if any of you know of any modules that take place around Sandpoint (or near by) other than the Rise of the Runelords adventure path.

My players have been showing signs of looking over the Help Wanted board in the Rusty Dragon and I want to be prepared just in case.

Preferably low-level adventures and I'm not concerned about them being 3rd party or Paizo written.
