And that's great, no argument here. But Solonchak and Garrett have no way of knowing that until they're told. I realize you're waiting on the GM, but we're just role-playing it out..
No thats cool. I'm enjoying it, just reminding GM if he missed the whole astral sight use thingy
no I saw that you used astral sight, on the camp, you didn't use it on the other namegivers... And you didn't notice anything in astral space, except that it looks relatively uncorrupted. Garrett noticed more than you did, and let everyone know what he found, which is why I was letting it go.

I don't think astral sight turns off when it hits another namegiver, but that's your call, but it would be nice to have at least an answer. Don't want to get off on the wrong foot here so I'll drop out of the game. Thanks for the opportunity and good luck with the game. Take care of my favorite fantasy game system ;-)

"Absolutely," Garrett replies to Solochak in a low voice. "This territory isn't settled. The damn kaer just opened. If we weren't all adepts, then what we're doing out here might be considered suicide."

He then takes just a half step forward from his obsidianman companion and speaks clearly to the two windlings.

"Sorry to break up a chance to make new friends, Izen," he says, "but you know better. Safety first- and not just for ourselves."

He looks Fenswalder Twoflower right in the eyes as he explains. "My name is Garrett Suresight. I'm a Scout from Kaer Tsennan. We've been dispatched from the leaders of that community to find a group of our villagers who never returned after dark."

"We all know who we are, where we come from, and who we're looking for. I get that we're strangers to you, fair enough. But the people of this camp were strangers to you too. So before we go clasping hands and pickin' flowers, you know what comes first."

As Garrett says this, he's calmly reaching for an arrow, but he doesn't nock it quite yet.

"You need to show us that you're not horror touched. And you need to do it right now. Then we'll do likewise for you. If you have any business being out here, you know this is the way it has to be."

Txoro, I'm not trying to be a hard case, but I think every PC should know, whether the player is familiar with the setting or not, that this is something of a standard protocol, especially in this situation. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

"Hi I'm Izen". "You're very shiny". "Have you seen our loggers"?

Astral Sight (2d6=8) For looking around the camp.

Perception (1d12=2) Just for normal sight looking around the camp (for above perception post" Obviously distracted by all the stuff and being on his first adventure, and of course looking around for strange bones to add to his collection.

for those using Invisible castle for your rolls, remember to opn the roll to the max, so it will automatically reroll max dice.

Cool didn't know it would do that. Makes ED rolling much easier.

Izen flits about the camp looking at everything. He will invoke his Astral Sight as well to see if anything jumps out.'

Im on a road trip till Friday, and only have my netbook which is hell to type on. I did type it all in once, but then the site went down before I could copy it so I got frustrated and didn't do it again. I'll get the profile typed in this Friday unless something else comes up. Also with the new computer don't have my Character sheet so either you could roll for me (preferred) or email me the CS I sent you so I'll have it till I get home.
Sorry but I somehow missed this thread till now.

Hey! How about me?

Izen flits about curiously from one thing to another. Soon he will see parts of the area he has never seen.

He moves from front of the party to the rear of the party and about every 2-3 minutes he flies up into the air, and views the area around the party

Well the time was really here. For years Izen had never dreamed of a greater world being open to him. Since the opening however he had had this strange desire to see what was out there. He hadn't strayed more than a couple hundred feat away from the Kaer before now, but it was time. Not only did he wish to see the wood-cutters return, he needed to see what was out there. After loading a couple of Matrix with his spirit Dart spell, he rushed to join the departing party.

"Wait! Wait"! "I'm coming Izen yelled to the party, hastily still stuffing his belongings into a sack".

Sorry I'm a little late posting my character and getting started. Had a little family medical emergency, but I'll be back in full stride by Friday evening

DM

Spoiler:
Don't let me hold up play. Just DMPC Izen till I can take over on Friday please

Izen is ready to play...just haven't had time to type in all the info on the profile.
