He never knew the name of his parents. They died when their caravan was attacked attempting to make the crossing into the other side of the world. Knut was saved by his master, an exiled Tian monk by the name of Guan. Together, they were an unlikely pair of master and apprentice. They made many travels during which time Guan also taught Knut his own mother tongue and his own unique style of fighting. They made numerous visits to Sandpoint where the young Knut met Ameiko. Knut was often punished by his master for failing to do much practice, as he skipped out to play with Ameiko and other children. Guan then decided that Ameiko had a bad effect on his apprentice’s path to perfection. Thus, the gaps between visits to Sandpoint became longer. A year ago, Guan allowed Knut to go on a warrior’s pilgrimage. Honored by such privilege, Knut took his master’s name and referred to himself as Knut Guansson in his subsequent dealings. Knut returned to Sandpoint to renew contact with old friends. Appearance and Personality
He is shy and is often unable to express himself well, especially with the opposite sex. However, like his master, he too believes that the universe provides and is therefore a skilled gambler. |
