"ARI, you remembered. I was starving, and no one wondered where I was... and ... I might have named a magic item without checking with you guys. Are any of you good at throwing daggers? Fed Cat might be for you." She goes from Faux sad, to fake apologetic, to excited ... but that's her speed.

Female Gnome

"I shall dub you: Fed Cat , for once you have tasted a meal, you come back expecting more." She tells the dagger, then blinks "To be fair, you're probably going to someone else, but I'll see if they keep the name."

Female Gnome

"ooo those little zesty noodles?"

Female Gnome

Izzy takes her turn to look at the dagger again but this time to try to determine it's magic. (She had already cast Detect Magic)

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Female Gnome

"Ooo, magic dagger. Who wants?" She asks as she looks over the non magical but intriguing stuff.

Grod's humming gets a hearty thumb's up from the resident bard! She wants to be supportive.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

She looks over at Tot, "You could use some healing, and you're a bit shaken there, Tot. Don't worry, we were all scared. Gnomes are just wired funny. We get scared, of course, badly, but afterwards some of us treasure the experience. Makes us seem braver than we are."

Female Gnome

"It's okay, Garen... the big part of the story is that finishing blow you pulled off!" Izzy hums and casts detect magic on the quasit and around the area.

"Call the Magnimar Patent Office, copyright the name Erridon Demonbinder, I want a copper every time somebody says it" - J. Jonah Izzy!

Female Gnome

At this, Izzy rolls her eyes, "Humility about it just makes you MORE heroic, Erridon! OOh it's like none of you have proper training the adventure epic narrative. What did you all do with your lives? Learn PRACTICAL stuff? Blah. And you did it to keep your home and family safe? DOUBLE Heroic! You are 'Erridon Demonbinder' now, at least in some stories that are coming." Her eyes light up "Ooo, Demonbinder...I DO like that. Provocative, technically true... will look good on a theatrical broadsheet."

Female Gnome

"We killed a demon! We killed a demon! It was all 'hiss' and 'you pathetic mortals' and Ari was like 'rarr let's wrasssle with darker powers' and so HEROIC...and Tot was like 'Baptize it' and the rest of us were pew pew and whomp and then Garen was all 'Godly SMITE' and I was like 'go for the head go for the head' and the demon was like 'noooo my evilness what a world what a world' and DEAD back to the bad place!" The gnome is ecstatic, her body trembling with fear turned to victory.

Female Gnome

Izzy tries to use her rapier to help Garen's blow...

Izzy moves then fires her sling. She doubts she can hurt this thing let alone kill it but who knows, maybe she'll get lucky?

Roll to hit with Sling, bard bonus included 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Dmg: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

EDIT: Holy snot. Possible crit? to confirm 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
If confirmed add an extra: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Darn, definitely not a crit then!

Female Gnome

Holding off on Izzy until I see if the others were successful. Not that she can do much on these things

Female Gnome

Izzy sees her friends getting wounded, and streaks towards Grod, casting a cure on him "It's all right, it's okay, they're gonna fear your wrath someday!"

Rile her up? Mmm... She begins to sing, "Gotta little job while in the darker planes, but now you got a boss that if you fail will give you pain. You're panicking and freaking at the sight of the forces of good! You're really bad at this that is understood! You're an incompetent minion to the forces fell! And you know your new boss is gonna give you hell!

Woe! Woe minion Woe! Woe is all you'll know! To torture you'll go!"

Bardic inspiration, apologies to Johnny be good!

Also a move but will gladly let Grod or others move past me.

Sorry for falling behind. Internet has been wonky this weekend and very early this morning it decided to reset entirely and not connect again. It appears resolved and I'll try to catch up.

Female Gnome

I'm very glad folks like the song!

We appear to have POSSIBLY finally beaten our plumbing /sewer line problem at home so I maybe able to focus more soon. Been a heck of a week/month.

The next day, Father Zantus prays and casts his spell on the diseased Tot and through the will of Desna, she is cured. He checks her over once again, and pronounces her fit enough to be released. "Be well and rest easy. May the dreams of the Starsong linger long in your heads." He gives you a benediction as you make ready to depart. He asks Isidiana to write down her song, and the music it is set to, so they can record in the cathedral hymnal.

She is happy to share her notes and give a more formal writing. Indeed, the gnome beams at the praise like a wagging Andoran Retriever dog!

And Tot is healthy again!

It is very likely, since two of Izzy's favorite gods are worshipped here anyway, she might become a regular church goer for a bit!

"Heard you might be here. Ran into some trouble down below did you?" He listens with interest to your story and shakes his head. "As if I didn't have enough problems without a fiendish lair set right below town. It's a wonder we hadn't heard of it before now."

Hemlock takes a biscuit from the table and soaks in gravy before popping most of it in his mouth. When he's done chewing, he says. "Wanted to wish you luck and to tell you that my contact from the Hinterlands, the ranger Shalelu, sent word that she will be in Sandpoint tomorrow evening. Come by the Garrison, and let's talk about your findings related to the goblins and their raid. She may have something to say about it. Till then, be careful and get rid of whatever infernal things lie below."

"Excellent, I mean, who couldn't benefit a bit from a little 'Elf Improvement'," The gnome winks!

Isidiana pops up from a half daze, piles of paper about her, and she grins! She had a nice chat with Tot, and that certainly got her thinking about gods. Now that Ari and Tot were talking again she had used that inspiration to find the perfect tune and she hoped passable lyrics!

"I have to talk to the Father, need to share this with him now. See if he likes it. Forgive me, got to find him!"

And she rushes off looking for Father Zantus. When she finds him, if he's not busy, and maybe even if she is, she starts up her instrument and breaks into song!

Perform Singing. I should take ten but let's hope in luck given who this is about 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

Good enough not to embarrass herself! So,with apologies to They Might be Giants here we go...

She starts it almost as a rambling cadence, but one that still is clearly heard, "She was here when it begins
Well not here but the heavens
She’ll be your loving glowing friend
If you’re not a bigoted horse’s end
then she is..."

Then the gnome increases her volume a bit and the cadence becomes a musical declaration "Wanderin’ Butterfly winged goddess of the Northstar
Who watches over us!
Let the light of Desna in your soul!
Not to put too fine a point on it
But she’s worthy of many a sonnet!
Let the light of Desna in your soul!"

Her violin strings along, allowing the complexity of the melody with undertones to increase a bit as izzy's voice continues her song of praise.

"She has her secrets to tell
From Dreams at which she excels
Its a wondrous message
Hope shines wherever we walk, ride, or sail!
So while the dark hovers constantly
Or so it might seem to thee
Luck’s with us and the Song of Spheres cares about you and me
Her story’s infinite
Like a mother’s faith in her child she brings out our best!"

"Wanderin’ Butterfly winged goddess of the Northstar
Who watches over us!
Let the light of Desna in your soul!
Not to put too fine a point on it
But she’s worthy of many a sonnet!
Let the light of Desna in your soul!"
Even dancing a touch as mixes instrumental and vocal so it doesn't get dull, for it shouldn't be, given who it honors.

"She was here when it begins
Well not here but the heavens
She’ll be your loving glowing friend
If you’re not a bigoted horse’s end
then she is…"

A change up, or at least a delay of the chorus one might expect...

"So many names and titles has she
Born from travels of eternity
From great woods to rocky shores
She risks the Dark so we can stay free
Though chased she’s never been caught
We’d be doomed if not for this god
Despair like slime would spread and dreamers be distraught
Of gods the friendliest
Sharing with strangers her campfire of cheer!"

It's possible by now a crowd or at least a few folks are gathering to see what all the music is about.

"Wanderin’ Butterfly winged goddess of the Northstar
Who watches over us!
Let the light of Desna in your soul!
Not to put too fine a point on it
But she’s worthy of many a sonnet!
Let the light of Desna in your soul!"

She nods to anyone around but keeps singing, "And while we’re at it
Let’s keep the light of Desna in our souls!"

"Not to put too fine a point on it
But she’s worthy of many a sonnet!
Let the light of Desna in your soul!"
She thinks this would sound really good with a church choir if one talented voice took lead and could interject without disrupting.

"Wanderin’ Butterfly winged goddess of the Northstar (And while we praise you)
Who watches over us! (Hopefully our journeys will please you!)
Let the light of Desna in your soul! (Thanks for lighting up our souls!)

Not to put too fine a point on it
But she’s worthy of many a sonnet!
Let the light of Desna in your soul!"

Ecstatic, she bounds and bounces! Happy if anyone joins in even as the song comes to an end.

She blows a kiss in the direction of the temple (or up in they are at the temple) and bows with a finish, hoping Father Zantus is pleased!

Female Gnome

Sell! SELL SELL!

If you want to :)

Female Gnome

"Father, that's nice of you! And also common sense as we are taking our lumps on behalf of the whole town ,but I think I'm going to create a hymn to Desna and offer it up to your church for your consideration. It's the least I can do and I like making songs anyway."

Her time will be spent with Titania and help her out. And yes, song construction.

Female Gnome

Izzy D is going to suggest the bill be sent to the Sheriff, Mayor, or in a Pinch the local high priest given they are working for the town right now ;)

Female Gnome

Isidiana hears about the horrid creature "THIS is good story material!" then she blinks and looks apologetically at Tot "Horror story, of course. Sorry. We'll get you through this and you stay at the temple. I'll sing you songs to help you through it."

To the priest she says "Please do all you can do to restore her. I'll stay with her as I said to comfort her."

Would Countersong apply here? 'Countersong (Su): At 1st level, a bard learns to counter magic effects that depend on sound (but not spells that have verbal components.) Each round of the countersong he makes a Perform (keyboard, percussion, wind, string, or sing) skill check. Any creature within 30 feet of the bard (including the bard himself) that is affected by a sonic or language-dependent magical attack may use the bard’s Perform check result in place of its saving throw if, after the saving throw is rolled, the Perform check result proves to be higher. If a creature within range of the countersong is already under the effect of a non-instantaneous sonic or language-dependent magical attack, it gains another saving throw against the effect each round it hears the countersong, but it must use the bard’s Perform skill check result for the save. Countersong does not work on effects that don’t allow saves. Countersong relies on audible components.'

Female Gnome

She moves forward as she plays, but ready to get out of the way if someone else needs by.
Move it is!

Female Gnome

Izzy D strikes a chord on her violin, fierce and imposing!

Bardic inspiration time!

Even as she tries to figure out what this thing is.

She has ...Knowledge (arcana) +3, Knowledge (dungeoneering) +3, Knowledge (engineering) +3, Knowledge (geography) +3, Knowledge (history) +7, Knowledge (local) +7 (+9 on checks that deal with the local art or music scene), Knowledge (nature) +7, Knowledge (nobility) +3, Knowledge (planes) +3, Knowledge (religion) +7. Let me know which one to roll or roll for her if you would to save time and let me know if she gets results?
