Ishmal weighs the coin pouch in his hand, before counting out his share of the coin for the wand. He also takes one of the CLW bottles. He then grabs up the backpack, and heads outside to pick out his horse. Upon loading up his mount, he heads back inside. "When shall we depart"? "I must pay a quick visit to my church, and pick up a few things, but am ready when everyone else is". 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14 Handle Animal or Appraise (To pick out a good horse)

Ishmal will take (3) potions, and 50 gp for his self. He will donate whatever is necessary to the CLW wand, and the remainder he will put into the coffers of the church. Though he will take a horse, and the bags full of food, tents, and blankets, he will lead the horse as often as he rides it, as physical exercise is part of his sect's agenda.

No problems Logan...I realize (After a few unpleasant lessons) that what we say on a message board, and what we really mean is often misinterpreted. I didn't take it as an attack, but as an opinion...and I'm an even older curmudgeon...soon to be 54 so I understand :-)

I see Ishmal as being more of a western monk. Perhaps the church of Yenomesh has a group of "Warrior-monks" designated to protect seekers of knowledge, and the sanctity of the written word. A mix of Friar Tuck and Kwai Chang Caine from the old Kung-Fu TV show. He is trained in unarmed combat (Eventually a lot of grappling), but usually uses weapons.

Ishmal sits himself silently at the offering of food, and mumbles a bit to himself motioning the holy symbol of Yenomesh, as he portions out exact portions of the simpler foods, and pours himself a cup of water. When the others take a break from conversation he raises his eyes, and simply states out loud. "Yenomesh has sent me here for a reason". "I will see it through". He then resumes his orderly meal.

The bulky figure in the dark plain robes stepped forward with the others, seemingly resolved in his actions. At first appearance he seems a simple monk in the robes, and with the holy symbol of Yenomesh clearly displayed, but this appearance is somewhat confusing, as the handle of a well worn Falchion is clearly visible strapped across his back. So this is what Yenomesh has in store for me. I will find knowledge, and bring it back to me. |
