Basically my confusion comes from several aspects that make me wonder if I am reading this correctly. I also question if maybe there were some typos?
The Elder Elemental a CR 11 creature from the Alien Archive found on page 47.
It has 145 HP, the same as the CR 9 Greater elemental.
It's attack is listed as "Multiattack slam +24 (4d6+11 B.)" If I am reading that correctly that means it must full attack to do 1 slam at less than average damage for a singular attack of a CR 11 creature.
When comparing it to the CR 9 Greater elemental. It seems as though the Greater elemental may be a bigger threat simply because it doesn't have to full attack to do any damage. Now if you look at the Air, or Water. Maybe you can look at Vortex, and Whirlwind and go. Ok well they can do that 3x a day in comparison to the greater elementals 2x a day. I can see the Elder Water and Air putting up a harder fight due to that. Although the Fire, and Earth elementals get slammed.
IDK I feel there was a mistake or I am missing something here.
