Determined to make quick work of these enemies, and now enlarged, Isabella leaps into the fray, moving closer to her enemies and swiping out with her Greatsword. 5 Foot into range, Study Target onto green enemy as a move action, and then attack. Attack: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 10 + 2 = 23
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Just a warning that despite my best efforts, its really hot over here atm. Not sure if I'll have consistent internet access on the beach but I will check in as often as I can. In the meantime, I have a day off from work tomorrow, plenty of beer, and might catch some waves tomorrow, so please don't worry about me too much.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
"I'm always open to getting a little stronger", Isabella easily remarks, swinging her Greatsword off her back and sinking into a crouch. She would like nothing more than to run ahead and engage immediately, but it was difficult to see exactly what she was fighting, and decided it was not worth tempting fate. Accepting Enlarge Person from Tessara, then moving forward and using the Total Defence action.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
I sent my cat home, after it was ruled it couldn't climb with us and no-one mentioned a possible solution. Isabella privately agrees with Tessara, remembering that their previous mission was certainly creepy, but this one seemed to take the cake. Violence Isabella could understand, likewise she could understand the need to take a life, but this casual torture was exceptionally disturbing, as she struggled to process finding herself in this situation.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Isabella closes in, attempting to deal with the final Shae. Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Seeing the successful nature of her strike last round, Isabella attempts to duplicate the feat. Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Feeling relieved to be on solid ground again, Isabella moves quickly forward and strikes out at a nearby Shae. If they can attack Isabella with their Falchions can I hit them from melee without using a move action to do so? If I can, I'll trigger studied target but if not, its no big deal anyway. Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Isabella grits her teeth as the arrow strikes her, but manages to hold on without much trouble. Realising that she will eventually fall if this goes on much longer, she increases her speed while climbing, hoping to reach the top quickly. Angry, she hops she can reach the top sooner rather than later. I decide to accelerate my climb if its possible, increasing the DC by 5 but moving at half speed for each climb check rather than a quarter speed. With Predator's Grace, my base speed is 45, so I can effectively climb 45 feet and this make it to the platform. If accelerated climbing is not allowed on this terrain, then I only gain 22.5 feet this round. Climb (After being hit): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Isabella triggers Predators grace, increasing her speed as she double moves, heading up to the top as quick as she can. Climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Ugh, I think I only gain about 11 feet of movement with Predators grace after failing to make progress on the first roll.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
I'm fairly sure my tiger is stuck on the ground then :( Sense Motive: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15 Isabella also takes 10 on her Climb check for 16 when the party is ready to climb.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
"I agree, such a sight is not one I have seen commonly during my time as a Pathfinder", Isabella remarks, hesitantly drawing her blade. "I suppose I could always cut him down?" she asks, although her tone implies that she would be perfectly happy leaving him as he is.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Isabella is quite happy to stay near the lead, preferring to stealth if possible. "Couldn't help with stonework but maybe I could help on searching for the traps front", Isabella remarks casually, before inspecting the area ahead of her, looking for traps. Taking 20 on Perception for 20 to search for traps.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Signaling Blake to charge forward, the Tiger moves into position and attempts to Bite the bounty hunter. Blake Bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
With Blake in position, Isabella closes in for the kill... Greatsword Attack: 1d20 + 10 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 10 + 2 - 4 = 28
Technically, Isabella really should be using lethal damage rather than non lethal as per her assassin training but I don't want to be "that guy" so I guess I'm rolling Non Lethal damage.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
If the bounty hunter can see the rest of the party, with Golbrier, in outside E7 it stands to reason that he has come around the corner, and is now in E5 and thus Isabella and Blake can attempt to move around to flank him on their turn. If this is incorrect in any way, let me know so I can change my planned tactics for this round.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
I know that I'm going to regret rolling for a DC I beat on a two... Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 Heh Isabella walks into the inn, with Blake by her side. She had long decided to appear as confident as she could, in order to discourage any awkward questions. As she swept through the largely silent city, Isabella reflects that she could potentially enjoy this city. Sure it was urban, nothing like the range of forests that she was used to and prefered, but she had spent much time in the darkness since then, and was very much at home within it. The quietness and the fact that most people seemed interested in keeping to themselves also suited her just fine. "If only it wasn't so depressing", she thought to herself, as her dark eyes alight on the obvious braggart of the bar.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
A dark haired human dressed in dark leather frowns slightly as she listens to Canayven Heidmarch, while absent mindedly scratching behind the ear of a medium sized tiger sitting peacefully at her side. Appraising her companions, she raises an eyebrow before smiling at the sight of Tessara, remembering her from an earlier mission.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Yep, I'll get a new Tiger Companion now that I have access to Boon Companion. I'm level 5.1 now =] (due to Legacy of the Stonelords chronicle being applied to Isabella via pregen). Cheers GM, and thank you so much for running this, it was deeply appreciated. Just out of interest, how much AC did that BBEG have, it was easily the longest boss fight I've ever had in Pathfinder Society. Grats Tessara, well deserved =]
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Isabella swiftly moves over and uses her wand of cure light wounds on the hurt workers, before casting Detect Magic. Cure: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Ah, cheers, the AoO rules always confuse the heck out of me. Isabella triggers her move action to study a sinspawn, before lashing out with her sword again. Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
EDIT Pretty sure thats another one down, so I'll make another attack roll to use so we are not waiting for me to kill the next one. Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Isabella runs forward, and slashes with her Greatsword Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
Please add in any bonuses such as Kiyoshi's Bless equipment ability if required, Isabella would wait if someone made it clear they wanted to buff her before she attacked.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Isabella frowns in distrust, before shrugging, if it didn't detect as evil then, then it was likely ok to wear now. "Of course", she says easily, carefully taking the veil from Terrara.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Isabella retraces her steps and heads back toward the party, tapping them on the shoulder when she returns. "I got a piece of the veil...I think thats just one more to go!" Same drill as above, Isabella starts moving to search another part of the complex, on the assumption that the rest of the party follows her. Technically I'm metagaming slightly in my position as there is only one other place where a secret entrance could be, and its somewhere along that wall but if you like we could all roam the entire facility, taking 20 on Perception until we eventually find it.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Phew, thought there was an army of undead about to attack us or something. Speeding this up, I'll roll my Acrobatics check on the proviso that I can count on someone to hold onto the rope holding me in place, so if I fail I don't fall an unknown distance and die. Won't bother attempting this though if its not the case. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
If no-one else has Acrobatics (I'm assuming thats what "large amounts of balance" refers to, then I guess Isabella will try, although shes not particularly good at it. Willing to give someone else a Guidance on the check though. Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22 EDIT Might be better for you to wait Tessara, while one of us checks it out with a rope around them or something, so we can brace it in case they slip (and so they hopefully don't fall all the way).
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
we are NOT splitting up the party. Especially when we have a blind witch in tow. "We haven't checked the end of the corridor", Isabella points out, heading in that direction (assuming people follow). Moved my character to better indicate the area that she wants to search, however shes only going there if people follow. Roll Perception etc as normal.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Struggling to identify the threat, ISabella decides she can analyse the creature after its dead, and proceeds to slam her greatsword into the creatures body. If its at all possible she will spend her free move action triggering her Study Target ability. Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Moved Isabella to an unexplored zone on the assumption the rest of the party will just follow. Assume she rolls Perception etc as normal while moving through the ruins.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Isabella glances back at her companions "It looks like this corridor leads us back to where we came in from...does anyone feel like retracing our steps?"
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Ugh I'm so silly, forgot I had a wand of my own Wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Full Health EDIT: Fixed Thats what I get for doing things within moments of waking up x_x
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Ugh, if there is MORE fighting to be had then I'm going to need some healing. Couldn't walk around all day with only 11 HP. I also moved my character to what looks like a doorway that is currently unexplored.
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Actually screw it never mind, in the interest of speeding up this combat, I'll just wing it and try and take him down before he kills me. He couldn't have that much HP left anyway...could he? Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23
Oof, I hope that hits him with his -2 to AC. Would prefer to take my attack after Liathander moves, just in case he grants me a flank so I can sneak attack off it, but if he plans on attacking from where he is then the point is moot anyway Sneak Attack ONLY IF applicable: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Isabella steps back slightly, giving herself room before using her scroll of Protection from Evil, granting herself some protection from the creatures attacks. EDIT Wow has it been a minute already, that sure went fast. Rebuffing I guess
Female Human Inquisitor 5 HP: 33/33 | AC: 19 | T: 12 | FF: 17 | CMD: 21 | Fort: +6 | Ref: +4 | Will: +7 | Init: +6 | Perc: +10 | Sense Motive: +12
Hey does anyone have Protection from Evil? I don't think this creature can hurt me then, which makes this a ton easier EDIT, wait I have a scroll of Protection of Evil. I'll cast it next turn! I'm so silly.
