Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
Seeing his expression, Iri goes to Sillas and gently touches his arm. "You may not like the idea Sillas, and I'm not sure I do myself, but it is a sensible precaution. We should be prepared for the worst if we're going to tangle with artifacts like this." She smiles slightly. "I promise you, even if Starlan doesn't know if I'm me or not, you will."
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
"I don't know. But you've met him. He's not going to tell me even if he can. You and Starlan should have a plan though and you need to keep it quiet from me. Just as a precaution. Which means planning using words. Why don't you do that, while I try and find some clothes for you Sillas?" Iri makes the suggestion sound utterly pragmatic. I have no idea whether he can or he can't by the way, so this is all very random speculation. I'm just taking my cues from the way dear Dahl crops up whenever the amulet is mentioned.
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
Pretty good for a rough sketch I'd say. Iri turns the notes on the amulet over and over in her hands, deep in thought. Finally she speaks. "You know, we'll have to have an escape route planned for this. I know the Flame will find ways to keep it safe, but I think Delphis was deluding himself if he believed a thing like that would just vanish into a vault and never be found." She pauses. "Well, obviously he was deluding himself. Look how very dead he ended up. Another thing is, Dahl is interested in the amulet. I'm pretty sure that's not going to be a good thing. You might want to have some plan in mind to incapacitate me in case he gets really interested. I don't know what Dahl can do if he tries. I'm pretty sure he can't exist if he's not in my head though, so that's some kind of safeguard - but only if I'm in charge of my brain at the time."
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
Iri will work out how to fix the constructs and study any interesting arcane or planar texts she finds there. She's going to hunt for more information about this amulet we're supposed to be pinching, trying to find out what it does for example. There's not much point in pinching the thing if it immediately tries to take over our brains.
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
Basic plan then seems to be to get Sillas all set up as false Delphis. Send him into the bank, grab the magic doodad and go from there. Starlan and Iri can trail along as random helpful people. If she gets the chance, Iri'll work on the constructs to refocus them to her to provide some much needed muscle for this brain rather than brawn endowed group. Our DM tells me that this will involve bloodletting, so maybe we do the bank job first. Rurin's information may still come in handy, just in case Sillas's disguise isn't good enough. He's a crook, but he seems to be an honest one.
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
If we can get Sillas disguised well enough to pass for Delphis, then we do the bank job asap. We need to try it anyway, with a fall back position of having the information from Rurin. Either way, staying in the house makes sense. If we can't disguise our boy, we'll still need a base, and keeping the distillary going will buy us valuable time in the sense of keeping the illusion that Delphis is still alive going. Rurin sold us the information fair and square. It's not his fault if we come up with another, easier plan to achieve the same ends. On the other hand, we could sell the information on to someone else and make the money back that way if we wanted to I suppose. Twins can be kept in contact with telepathically and the airship is theirs rather than ours. We'll page them.
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
Iri finishes binding up wounds and starts a systematic search of the room. "I wish I'd asked Switch to come along. Or your friend Maedar, Sillas. They're both illusionists and maybe one of them could have pretended to be Delphis. Getting into the vault would be easy enough for him - after all, it is, or rather was, his vault and his property." She rummages through desks, drawers and cupboards. "If we could find a picture of him and the password, Starlan or Sillas could try disguising themselves as Delphis. It's simple, but it might work."
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
Iri looks thoughtful as she reads the notes. "OK. I see how this works. Merreck, would you like to go shopping again, if I give you a list? You'll like this jaunt, I promise you. The humming bird will fix up the distillery if it ever breaks down." She looks around. The room is entirely delightful to someone of a scholarly bent, but she remembers the original reason for coming to Passage rather abruptly. "Before I start getting bogged down in fixing the constructs, maybe we should look around for any information Delphis left about the vault and how to get into it?"
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
"Darned right I'm not your mother Dahl. Which believe me, I'm truly grateful for." Iri sounds quite irritable as she binds up Starlan and Sillas's various wounds. "Since we've found the manual, I think I can get this thing to work for us. A little bit more help won't hurt us." She nods at the fallen constructs. "Merreck, can you teach one of us how to use those lockpicks? There's no reason for you to have to take all these risks for us."
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
Iri picks up the control rod. "Rummage, then look at the door. How is everyone feeling? Sillas, Starlan, I need to clean those wounds in case they fester." "I'm sorry if I sound like everyone's mother, but who knows what those germs those things have on their teeth?"
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
"Silver Flame heal us!" Iri screws up her face, holds out her Holy Symbol and concentrates on calling down the healing power of the gods. Channel positive energy. (save DC14). Home rolling 1d6+1=5 saving hp to Merreck, Starlan and Sillas. And Iri herself if needed by then.
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
"Oh great. Now there's two of them. Let's help ourselves to help ourselves. This won't last long, make the most of it." Calling on the power of the Silver Flame she serves, Iri invokes the power of purity. Casting Bless. +1 to attack rolls and +1 to saves v fear effects.
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
"If it bites you, I'll heal you really fast. Promise. Right after I've melted that thing's legs off." Iri's init (home rolled, IC not playing today for me) 1d20+2=15 Calling on her sorcerous powers, she fires acid at one of the construct's legs. 1d20+3=16, 1d4+1=4 damage. "I told you to sit!"
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
"Not a lot of comfort Merreck." mutters Iri as she looks at those teeth again and casts mage armour on herself. "Sit!" She does her best to sound authoritative, flexing her fingers in preparation for doing something more damaging than shouting optimistic commands. "Starlan - did you see any amulets in the house?"
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
"Since you're around Dahl, how about giving us some clue how to stop the dog buzzing. Or better still, making sure it doesn't attack us. If you want us to see the arcane secrets, a little help would be appreciated. And the bush thing? Not for maybe a few centuries." "Not exactly a clock Merreck. More of a buzzing dog. It sounds like it might go off at any second. Are you any good with metal animals?"
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
Wracking her brains to see if she's ever seen or heard the word before ... Know (Rel), (Pla), (Arc) to see if mystery word means anything (1d20 7=22, 1d20 8=23, 1d20 3=11)
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
Iri struggles with her backpack. "I've got a tanglefoot bag in here someplace," she mutters. "Ah, blast this, why don't I ever think." A short chanted phrase later, and she casts a light spell on her pack, illuminating the passage and allowing her to extract the tanglefoot bag. Yes, between Starlan and Sillas unless they have any objections.
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
"Something's magical down there. I don't think you should go alone Starlan. Sillas or I should come with you." "I've no idea what it is Merrek. There is something magical down there, but I can't tell what at this distance. Starlan's keen to take a look."
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
Iri reads the letter and hands it to Sillas. "Well, I suppose we should give it back to him. He seems reliably dishonest in his dealings. Let me fix the seal." Use Mend cantrip to fix up the seal again. "Starlan - we'll be right with you. Don't open the door. Please."

"Illegal is fine. My parents do that all the time. They're just not honest enough to admit it. Let's see what this says, now you've gone to all the trouble of getting it back." She opens the letter.
Female Human Cleric 1/Sorcerer 1 (Manifest Spellshaper)
Iri greets Sillas with relief as he rejoins her. "Starlan's at the house. It's not as empty as we thought it was. There's something in the basement he says ... oh, you know all that of course." She grins up at him. "You must have been quick - I never saw you once. I hate to say it, but crime is really starting to appeal to me. Is that wrong?" They head towards the house, Starlan and whatever is lurking in the basement.
