No problem, I've been having a really hard week so I'm cool with waiting still.
I'm still here so no problem here!
Mythic does count as half a level, so we are two and a half levels higher. Also you could either ask for more people, or give us more normal levels to get up to handle things. Though that only works for so long....
He's waiting on Aladir and Nilus, Hyram was on vacation with family but I've no idea if he returned or if something happened or what.
Ragweed is horrible where I am and it feels like a bug but it just sucks. Yeah I don't know where they go off to...
"Then that means we needs to hold onto Milamber, and whatever happens, do not let go." Iona said as she stepped up and placed her hand upon Milamber's shoulder.
No problem! I've been busy because we had to finish up with the rent house. But as of today, everything is done!
"Oh you've nothing to apologize for Milamber." Iona said with a thankful nod to him. "I didn't want to burden anyone with it, plus it does involve getting closer to me than some would prefer." She added, trying to explain why she hadn't asked for aid.
After about five minutes Iona was fully armored once more and moved to rejoin the group. "I apologize for the delay, but this armor isn't easy to put on alone." "It is a perversion." Iona said to Aladir's comment. "A plane made form evil and pure chaos... As we know the creatures are not to be taken lightly."
Okay! So I'm starting to get back around to my games, I'm going to get to some tonight and the ones I don't get to I'll get to tomorrow!
Okay! So we closed on our house and spent all weekend moving in, the internet should be getting turned on Wednesday and my computer desk is arriving Saturday. So with luck, and skill and maybe some more elbow grease and I'll be back to active status the beginning of next week... Oh man... This weekend was hell! XD
With the creature falling into its deaththrall, and the other spider having been dealt with Iona relaxed, and in doing so felt the pain surge through her body. The venom of the creature had burned through her and though her body fought it, there was no doubt to those who looked upon her that it had left an impact. For she was much paler than when they first entered this place. Her breathing is heavier. The vestments of Iomedae, of purest white and glorious gold, had become stained crimson with her blood and matched the cloak she always wore. Without her armor her natural form was made clear. A body formed by training, by a life of preparation both spiritual and physical… seemed rather small without all that metal. Bulwark of Victory and Radiance in it's new form however still seemed at home. One could hardly picture the priestess without the shield at all and the blade it seemed had made its choice. "I will recover…" Iona answered through heavy breath. "That said," she took a pause to breath "I must take a moment to heal, and gather my armor… putting it on properly shall take, me time." After a moment, Iona closed her eyes and her birthmark began to glow. "Calling upon Aroden's then-herald Arazni, Iomedae convinced a regiment of mortally wounded knights at the Second Battle of Encarthan to stay their ground against a horde of wraiths until reinforcements arrived at dawn to rescue them." The words of Iomedae's Fourth Act flowed from Iona as the warmth of her divine power filled all close to her, calming any wounds they had including her own.
The damage of the spiders slowly began to heal as if they had never been there, but the markings through her vestments and the blood of hers that they had spilled was a reminder of what had happened. After taking the time to heal what damage to her body she could, Iona returned Radiance to its sheath and made her way to where her armor had been cast off to. Donning the full-plate would take some time but there wasn't a chance Iona would leave it behind. Though it would go faster with more hands.
Iona winced as the creature bit into her flesh. However her body fought back the venom, and the cleric fought on.
Sorry for the long silence once more, but as the saying goes when it rains it pours. My grandfather passed away very early Sunday morning. Though we knew it was coming, he was doing so well it was a bit of a shock. He made it three months past the one month the doctor's gave him and those four months where great. But Saturday night he fell out of bed and had to be rushed to the hospital. They stitched him up, sent him back to hospice... And Sunday morning they called us to say it was time, his body was shutting down. He never woke up. We sat there beside him till he was gone, it was painful but he's no longer suffering. In the end because of the lack of oxygen his mind was starting to go and he was having trouble doing the puzzles he loved so much, so it is bitter sweet it went now while he still had some sense of himself. He made it to 102, and within a week of 103, lived a life of love, loss, and fulfillment. He is survived by three children, eight grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. We will miss him, but he's with grandma now.
Hey, I'm going to try an get a post in tomorrow. I got my fingers smashed in a car door at work earlier this week. Typing is difficult but half doable at the moment, but the longer the post to harder it is to do...

Iona gave a cry of surprise as the creature ripped her armor from her body. Leaving the priestess in her clerical vestments, Radiance in one hand, and her shield in the other. "That, was uncalled for." She stated. However with Hyram at her aid, Iona threw herself into combat with the creature as well. There wasn't time to worry about her armor right now.
"There is another creature there!" Iona called out as she pointed with Radiance to the other side of the cluster. To do her best to ensure to protect the others, Iona moved forward to hold the other creature's attention while the group dealt with this one.
Taking the opening provided, Iona stepped up and swung at the creature.
Iona nodded to Alador. "Once I see their wounds from you I'll charge in." She promised before he set off.
"I am sure all can agree with that." Iona said with a small smile. "Let us face these spiders the size of elephants." She said before Iona moved to take point in the line. "Milamber, when you're ready."
"That does sound like a fair idea Aladir, but please do be careful... this place isn't meant for souls like us..." Iona said as she moved closer to Nilus. "For the moment I cannot help the strength that has been taken from you, but I can offer to be your strength till I can return it. Lean upon me when you need it." She offered with a small smile. "Our abilities should work, we draw power from gods my friend." Iona told Hyram with a small smile. "Trust in the goddess, and trust in each other, and this place will not overcome us."
Likely because you where so busy you never got around to answering my question GM, but I believe the answer will likely be a no. However I'd like to know for sure before I move on in game.
"I do nothing but get tossed into that machine." Iona said honestly as she moved to Milamber who had gotten thrown back "Are you alright?" She asked him.
GM: Would Empathic Healing work to take the damage he has to strength onto herself? I know it take effects like poison and disease.
Iona looked ashamed as she shook her head at Nilus's question. "I cannot... It wasn't something I asked of my goddess, but I can get the spell for it as soon as I am able... I'm sorry."
Golarian side: Iona gave a small cry of pain when the machine pierced through her armor. But for the moment there was little she could actually do about it.
Though Nilas tried to release Iona from her restraints, his strength wasn't enough. Yet it was inspiring enough to Iona. Who offered the paladin a soft smile and pushed out if the bonds with her own resolve. "Queen Galfrey! Back to the Rift! Quickly" Iona called as she grabbed Nilas. "We must return! She told him before pushing through the Rift back to the other side.
On Golarian: Iona sees Nilus strike at the demon alongside the Queen, and while fighting these outsides was a sworn duty of the cleric as well, there was more important matters at hand.
Iona summoned for her magic, speaking a prayer to Iomedae. "Hear me my goddess! Make ready at Heaven's Gates, for by your power I send you a foe who dares get in our way." With her hand now glowing a pale white, Iona ran into the fray reaching out to touch the demon.
I have a quick question before I act. Plane shift, what would happen if I sent a demon to Heaven?
"Aladir! Hyram! Stay with Milamber! I'm going to aid Nilus, make sure Milamber keeps that page in the rift! Nilus and I will ensure the page it put back in on that side... I promise we'll find you even when it closes!" Iona called out before she ran to the Rift, throwing herself through it.
Iona's eyes widened as the blade transformed before her eyes. It seemed the blade itself agreed with being in her hands and she hopped she would live up to those expectations. Then lining up next to her friends, and together they took the leap into the Abyss, united as one. The power of the Rift tried to push into their very beings.
Iona is able to push her way through and join Milamber in seeking the guardian.
"That depends how long it takes us to complete our task." Iona said before she stepped up to take a defensive position. Drawing Radiance in it's new form she said "Be ready. And Milamber fear not, we will watch your back."
I hope I was able to get across how much this means to Iona and in some ways me as well. Also it humors me because the art I use for Iona's alias also is the picture of Radiance's original owner! XD
Iona's eyes widened when Hyram offered the relic to her. She had no words for such an act, nor did she understand why he believed her so worthy. She was a priestess of Iomedae true, and her mark upon her forehead showed their goddess's approval of her works but this was something else completely. "I... I can only thank you for believing I am worthy." Iona said as she took the blade from him, looking over it's form she couldn't help but make note of how much it looked like the blade Iomedae was often depicted with. She figure that was no coincidence, and that it had likely been foraged that way, yet it seemed so familiar... The mark upon her brow glowed softly, almost a reassurance, but more likely Iona's own power connecting with the relic of the faithful. "I will not fail your trust." Iona promised as she went about securing Radiance at her side. Never had Iona doubted that her path was in the light of Iomedae, never had she doubted the power which she called forth from her goddess. The only thing she had ever doubted was if she was worthy next to those she stood beside, with this Iona doubted no more. The heroes she had praised, the defenders of her home, recognized her as one of their own and bestowed upon her a great gift and burden. One that the priestess was more than happy to shoulder beside them.
Iona nodded "We'll be ready." Iona told her before she followed Milamber towards the rift. "Fear not, I shall be your shield." The cleric promised to the wizard.
Well then, Iona would be honored to wield it. And thank you, all of you.
I always default iconic game items to those who have been in the game the longest. So is Hyram doesn't wish to continue with it, then Iona will take it up. On, another note... I got a bit of bad news today, my grandfather is in the hospital. His lung keeps filling with fluid and they found a mass at the bottom. The filling of his lung isn't treatable... and we're not sure about the mass yet. But they have begun to speak about hospice care... his time is limited... So it is very likely I might vanish for a few days, if that be to help take care of him or to be there to say goodbye.
"I don't believe even with yourself and Milamber it would be enough. This is harnessing the full might of the Abyss I think. I fear we'd need more." Iona stated. "However, if the Rift to the Abyss is closed, then it is very likely this machine will not be able to function. At least in theory." Iona pointed out.
We also have a Cleric of Iomedae, who is playing Paladin! XD
"I wish you luck, tis a tale not even I have heard yet." Iona said as she gave a nod to the newcomer. "I am Iona Pentaghast, well met."
Welcome to the game! Interesting that he went to aid Galfrey when Iona, who was in a similar state, remained in the city to try and help them recover till the PCs took the place in the world wound then she came to join them by walking alone... in the world wound! XD
Iona paused and looked at the Queen before she vanished, then over to her allies. "So, we're getting another member it seems." Iona said with a shrug.
"Follow me." Iona said with a nod to the Queen before she lead the way to the room in which they found the Rift. "The closer we get the louder the voices are, so please take care." Iona explained. "Might I suggest you give the other page to Milamber. The rest of us can support and protect him as he works with you to close the Rift properly."
Normally I'd be iffy on giving the main game sword to a non-Iomedaen. As it is modeled after Iomedae's sword if you look at the pictures. However I wouldn't say no to another player, especially a paladin in the game for paladins. So I could likely get over my bias quick. You vouch for them and that is good enough for me!
"If there is something I have learned since joining this group, is that things are always changing." Iona said as she looked to her allies and smiled. "I mean if a succubus can change, then why not a Cambion." "We'll make good the time. Though I do have a question about the ritual. Is there someone who has to do it or will any of us here be able to read it from our side?" Iona asked.
