DM Questions:
0. What path are you?
Trickster, focusing on skills, subterfuge, and Bardic Performance. I -may- dual-path Marshal.
4. Why does your character have the class, feats, weapon, etc. that they do? Where and how did they learn to fight? What made them take up this path?
Mouse is a rogue because her studies have lead her headlong along this particular path. A lifetime of stories and learning under the tutelage of anyone who would aid in her pursuit of knowledge has lead her to a plateau where her skills far outnumber her capabilities in any other vein. In addition to this, Joan (whose real name is much longer), an elven woman, and something of a mentor to her, is a rogue and pathfinder chronicler, having learned to fight from the woman has cemented her studies.
The elven curveblade she carries was one of the only things that has survived her trip across the world to the pathfinder society from her father. It is also the primary reason why Joan took an interest in her in the first place. Of any weapon she has ever held, she is most comfortable with the hilt of the long, flexible blade, and so has stuck with it.
5. Is your character religious? If so, who do they worship and why?
Mouse has a very loose connection to Desna, Shelyn, Seramaydiel, and Kelinahat, though her direct knowledge of these is somewhat muted; she doesn't have a great deal of interest in the gods themselves, but rather their stories, and the stories of those who have followed them. She primarily respects Desna for guiding her travels, and Shelyn for guiding her art.
6. What is your character’s reason to get involved with Irrisen? It can be something as simple as hating tyranny, but something more detailed will certainly help your chances.
Mouse is inexplicably drawn to the land, somewhat due to the few details of her past that she does have. Just as much as she wishes to learn about the world around her, and pass that knowledge on, she has a yearning to find out who exactly she is within the world. Having no real family has left her with a longing to discover what ties she has lost, and the Society has told her little in regards to her origin, besides that she is from Irrisen. Likewise, the difficulty in learning things about Irrisen and its lack of strong ties with the outside world makes it the perfect place, at least in Mouse's mind, to begin her journey towards becoming a chronicler. Collecting the stories and legends of Irrisen and guiding heroes towards righting ancient wrongs and uncovering ancient mysteries is, however, the story she is more likely to share with others.
Alignment: Neutral Good, Mouse believes in the capabilities of humanity when they work together. She has had little exposition to the dark sides of the world, given her background, however. She is held between law and chaos by not particularly worrying about rules; her life has always been structured, yet flexible.

As a thin and willowy half-elven woman, shorter than most any of her kind, Mouse is quite far removed from the typical images evoked by her heritage. Her hair falls to just below her shoulders, and while her heritage has deemed that it should be an icy white, she makes efforts to keep it dyed black, so as to stand out less. Combined with her Jadwiga and Snowcaster heritage, Mouse's ethnicity is difficult to pin down, making her look more vaguely Tian than anything, with her thin, slanted eyes and exceedingly pale skin. The only things that pull one away from the illusion are her full lips and gently pointed ears.
Mouse makes a conscious effort not to stand out; you hear better stories when you listen to old friends talk, and looking like an exotic creature greatly inhibits one's ability to fade into the background. She wears muted leather armor, of a muddy gray color and rustic green clothing that belies her intention to head into the north. Subconsciously though, she is unable to come to terms with who she is, and chooses to change her most extreme features to better fit the norm so as to help find a place where she belongs.
Standing in stark contrast to this is the long and elegant curved blade that she carries, the singular heirloom of her childhood, an Elven Curveblade that she has dubbed Scribe. Through its unusual method of use, Mouse has honed and trained her muscles for agile and subtle movements, alongside her training regimen, leaving her with a lithe body and easy grace.

History:

'...Strange then, that here, surrounded by thousands of books, each filled with stories written by hundreds of men, over hundreds of years, that I should find myself, day by day, without a story.'
Mouse sat before her book and placed her pen down. Another day of writer's block. It would help, most assuredly, if she'd actually experienced anything. Everything she tried to write had already been written before. And besides, Non-fiction was infinitely more valuable than fiction, and could easily be just as entertaining.
It only made sense that she had planned to leave for the north, then. She couldn't complain, really, she'd spent her entire life here, with these people, with this great library. It was time to return the favor and help to fill it a little more. And maybe she'd find a little of her own story.
She stood and moved off to go peruse the books once more, leaving her journal resting on the desk flickering candle light dancing across the pages. A calm breeze blew through the room, making the pages dance, the script painfully small to read.
Page 25, Second Paragraph wrote:
'I let everyone know what I'd been planning. I'm... technically a member of the Pathfinder Society, now. It's rather interesting, really, to actually have my choices help to guide the society. Gathering information all around the world, and sending bits and pieces back here, to guide the society while I learn about the world around me. With any luck, some of the things I learn and write about will appear in its own gazeteer!'
A pair of pages flipped from left to right, exposing more of the woman's inner thoughts for the empty corner of the room to see.
Page 22, First and Second Paragraph wrote:
'Let's see... Joan has helped me with my sword form. She says elven curveblades are exceedingly unusual and take a measured hand to weild properly, but she's guided me towards very clear stances and movements to help keep me flowing, as opposed to trying to brute force my way through things; that's something I don't think I'd be able to do. Likewise, while some warriors are able to simply break through armor to deal terribly vicious blows, I should use my sword's flexibility to my advantage, and focus on targeting any vulnerabilities I can find.
Seely, an adorable gnome from the Land of the Dwarven Kings, has taught me the ins and outs of properly packing. If you properly position weight, you can easily overcome burdens via counterbalancing them. It won't really remove the weight from you, but it eases the burdens brought upon you by said weight, and with proper posture, you can greatly improve your own stamina. If you're careful with how you pack, you'll be able to carry quite a lot more than if you just put things wherever you feel like. Likewise, the opposite is true, if you focus the weight of an object against itself, you can use its size against it.'
A dozen pages flip by, as Mouse slides several books back onto the shelves, from where she'd retrieved them.
Page 14, Third Paragraph wrote:
'I've begun taking several... courses, I guess is the right term. This isn't really a school, but with so many adventurers, and amazing people moving through, getting a lesson isn't that hard at all. Everyone likes to talk about themselves and share themselves, so asking them to show me how to do things is rather easy. It takes a lot of practice on my part, but simply seeing how it's done, by several heroes, is a huge step from learning to do it from a book.'
A few pages skittered away, leaving her long, thin, tiny writing in clear view once more.
Page 8, Second Paragraph wrote:
'Most days I don't mind not really having anyone of my own, because I have everyone. With a group as large as the Pathfinders, there's always someone interesting, with a story to tell, and I kind of feel like I was adopted by the whole group, some days. But others... I can't help but feel alone, forgotten. I can't help but feel like I've read every book a thousand times, even though I've barely made it through a tenth of a tenth of the books here. I feel like I'm wasting away. I feel like I don't belong. On days like today, I just do my best to stay out of the way.'
Several pages flipped, leaving just the leather cover resting on the table.
Page 1, First Paragraph wrote:
'It's so strange to have my own book to write in. Joan was spot on as always when it came to birthday gifts. But I suppose it was also an obvious gift to give, given how much time I spend in the libraries! I'm... not really sure what I have to write in here. It's a rather strange feeling to feel on the cusp of something like this, and having nothing to write. Maybe it will get easier?'
Mouse moved over to the book and closed it, picking it up, as she blew out the candles.
Mouse is upbeat and perky, having never quite known a stranger. She isn't inherently likable, but her efforts to draw others into the spotlight, and her uncanny interest in uncovering secrets and simply understanding everything around her has lead her towards a personality that shines either in groups or in single encounters with unique individuals.
On the other hand, when Mouse is alone, she finds it easy to slide into depression and angst, recalling her lack of real emotional ties, and not quite knowing how to move forward without others to help guide her. For this reason, she goes to meticulous lengths to simply not be alone.
She works well with groups, but can also become impatient with relative ease; having had so many experiences (embellished and otherwise) purveyed to her by the society has lead her towards believing that life is intrinsically more interesting than it really is. On the other hand, there's a good chance things are only just beginning to be interesting.
