About Ingra Redhand
background:
When she first saw a bird with a broken wing Ingra picked it up carefully and took it to her mother to get it healed. It died en route, which cemented her determination to learn the secrets of healing herself and set a pattern of melancholy thoughts - which she came to enjoy, after a fashion. Ingra's tastes run to dark colours and sad music (yes, she's a goth dwarf.)
Combining her studies with weapons and magic took up pretty much all of Ingra's time growing up. She never did learn to read people or how to interact with them much successfully. She's a sucker for a sob-story and was encouraged to move to this new district guard rather than continue interfering with her colleagues with overly sympathetic reactions, or her academic understanding of laws.
She's also much impressed by displays of dedication, whether to causes, religion or bodybuilding - she worships Kurgess.
