in the mean time, that valuable boon is lost to anyone who has played the scenario, because it might be cheating to claim your character visited the City of Brass between events. by the time a scenario for the City of Brass comes out, the character has passed beyond the range.
there are a lot of boons on various sheets that are useless to use, for one reason or another.
on a similar tangent, we finished another scenario last night that has a "catch 22" boon on the sheet. unless you pay for information with an item worth 3000 or 6000 (depending on negotiations), you suffer the loss of all fame/prestige on your next scenario. i cant think of a sane group who would forfeit a powerful magic item for a smidge of information.
who makes this stuff?? they need to be flogged...
