perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
"The scrapes end at the water line. I cannot detect anything out of place above the water line. I am not sure my vision is adequate to pick up details so a source of light might be called for. I will check to see if there is anything below the water's surface." Inamm speaks softly, counting on the wind and the acoustics of the well's walls to carry her words to her companions. Ensuring she had a secure grip on the rope, she carefully feels the area under the surface where the scratches might continue.
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 purple dice this time
I may be misinterpreting your description of the well's interior and how/where the scratches end, but my assumption is that they end in a way that would make Inamm think they continued under the water. If my logic is flawed I would alter my next action onto focus where the scratches would logically suggest to look.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
"I do not need any extra light to take a look, but if you would kindly help too secure this rope I would be grateful."
Inamm pulls out her silk rope as she is speaking. She ties off one end and climbs up onto the lip of the well.
"If I yell "trouble", please help pull me up in a hurry. Otherwise I will let you know what I find and well figure out our next moves from there."
Making sure she has a weapon in easy reach, she carefully starts a slow climb down into the well, directing herself towards the scratches.
take 10 to climb slowly and carefully

Feeling useless, without tracking or healing talents, Inamm follows her colleagues' leads. When the options all seem to be used up, she speaks. "Perhaps we are following the wrong path anyway. Could the attack on Tella have occurred during the perpetrators' escape and not their entrance into the village? We all came out right after Tella's scream and for these two to already be dead after such a short time, makes me wonder. I could see scratches deeper in the well. Do you think we should look down there?"
if I misunderstood and the priest has not been dead for some time, wasn't he cold and clammy already?, I apologize

Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
sorry guys. I have been super stressed and energy-less lately. blah...
Inaam rises slowly at the sound of the commotion outside, feeling sluggish after the days adventure followed by a hardier than normal meal. Trying to shake off the effects, she follows her companions out of the inn.
She sees the girl lying on the ground but knows that the only help that she can offer is to track down the villain that attacked her.
She focuses on the action around the well instead, using her racially augmented vision to peer down the well before the light arrives.
Perception (Darkvision 60 feet): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
unless she actually sees a creature that was beyond the light that the lantern casts she will follow Sasha and the hounds
can she use perception to try to determine whether it was Tella that screamed or someone who found her after the attack (trying to get a sense of timing)?perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Seeing Sasha head off on an apparent trail, Inaam follows. "Keep some armed people by that well in case something returns", she shouts back to the crowd around Tella and the well. As she follows after Sasha she is keeping a sharp eye out for anything lurking ahead of them.

Unsure what to do with herself. Inamm quietly looks around for a blank parchment that she could quickly write down the words the older priest was saying, hoping to have a chance to look into the name mentioned, perhaps even being able to question the Curate directly, if the potion is as potent as the rumours claimed.
is Inamm literate?
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
"Father Rickard, has anyone been taking the Curate's words down. I have heard that many holy men have had visions of things to come when in this sort of condition. Hopefully the elixir can help him, but what he has been saying could actually be of profound importance. When and how did he become ill again? Could he have learned something that someone wanted to keep him from repeating"?
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Weird. My post appeared a couple days after I added it?!? Anyway, Inamm is ready to do anything I guess...

Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
I'm just glad that real time and game time are not related.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Dan sort of reminded me too. I remembered that we wanted the water for something, he just had to nudge my memory to access that info.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Feeling a little sheepish for getting between the warrior and her dog, Inamm tossed a small piece of jerky towards the dog. "It's only because dog breath can be bad enough, without mixing orc into the mix. Don't you get me in trouble with your mistress," she whispers. That animal is far better trained than any I have encountered, and far more intelligent. It was like it understood what I was saying.

Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm was extremely relieved when the final huge orc fell to the ground. "Good puppy," she whispered towards the huge dog who was still licking the viscous green blood from around his muzzle. She giggled softly as she imagined that the look on his face was one of disgust at the taste of the vile fluid.
She heard the fighter speaking but her eyes were already drawn to the font and the strange contraption sitting in front of it. Trying to force her concentration away from the device, she closed her eyes and tried to discern any noises that suggested that the shrine was still not cleared of orcs.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
"Sounds clear", she said distractedly as she walked towards the font. "There are vials here" she commented as she scooped up the two capped ones. "These seem full, but I suspect they have had something done to them in this odd contraction. Perhaps some of these other vials are empty and we could collect what little is left from the font itself?".
She picks up a couple of the uncapped vials and some lids. Worried that they might have been used, she smells them to see if she can detect any scent.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Detecting a slightly odd lingering odor, she tries to rinse the smell out of a couple of vials and lids, using the water from her canteen. Still caught up in the exhilaration of battle, she keeps up an almost unconscious verbal dialogue of her actions. "Can your dog have a bit of my jerked beef? He must have an awful taste in his mouth."

Inamm feels the will of the chanting orc try to overcome her. Frustration and anger welled up inside her at the audacity of the creature for trying to subvert her.
Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
A primal curse hissed through her teeth as she plunged her daggers once again toward her foe.
Dagger Attack:: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage:: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Dagger Attack:: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage:: 1d4 + 1d4 ⇒ (2) + (1) = 3
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm centers herself to combat the ill feeling she gets as the chanting orc seems to try to fog her mind with doubt and despair. Drawing in a deep breath of cleansing air,
Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
she feels herself clear the haze trying to affect her essence.
Feeling violated at the chanting orcs attempt to overpower her, she digs deep and slices both daggers towards it again.
Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm murmurs a thank you to the winds as the orc's blade barely misses her. Knowing that chanting is not always an innocent exercise for your voice, she decides her best course would be to try to disrupt the chanting orc as quickly as possible. So with a cleansing breath, she attempts to maneuver further into the chamber.
Acrobatics (getting by Alex): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Acrobatics (getting passed orc): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Landing her final roll a little closer to the huge black orc than she had wanted, she curses herself for not being more diligent with her training while simultaneously thanking the spirits for not treating her as her former master would have for her error. Pulling out both her daggers, she aims them at the neck and spine of the chanting orc.

Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Certain that she had checked everything that she could, Inamm quietly takes hold of the door handle and begins to pull it open, very slowly, unsure if its hinges would betray her presence.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm gestures to her colleagues to wait by the scroll rack. She moves slowly closer to the door to examine it more closely, troubled by the odd properties of this door. She is trying to use all her senses to determine the true nature of it and whether they can get through it undetected.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 ... Hesseth
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Disable Device: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm gestures to get Sasha's attention. In the quietest of voices, with a silent prayer that the wind takes her words directly to her companions ear and no where else, she suggests that she can scout ahead without the lantern. Then she readies two daggers and moves forward down the stairs with all the stealth she can muster, all the while looking for tell tale signs that the area may have traps to warn the occupants of unwanted guests.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Disable Device: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
I know this will slow us down but I do not want any surprises. I am not sure how to check for traps, or even if I really can, but I am trying whether I have the 'skill' or not.

Inamm saw the unnatural creature wriggle itself loose from Will's huge muzzle and was determined that such an abomination should not be allowed to foul the wind with its breath any longer. Whispering a brief prayer to the creator of the winds, she steps toward the creature and plunges her daggers at its deformed torso.

Sorry guys, crazy time at work. Been at weekend courses and then had to work Sunday unexpectedly (still getting used to remembering to read a schedule instead of just doing 9-5ish weekdays). I have been pretty wiped out and spending my home hours that I am awake trying to learn the theory of teaching lessons so that I can be helpful in the water during my shifts. That is one of the next major things I have to qualify to do, which means cramming 2 courses in as soon as possible. Plus I am going to be trained to instruct first aid/CPR/AED sometime before mid-January, as I need to co-teach a course then. Lots of stuff to coming up. Good news is that I am now certified as a Lifeguard (again), in First Aid/CPR/AED (again), and as a Kayak/Canoe instructor. I am going to learn skin diving (with the boys) and oxygen provider this coming week. My brain is going to explode but it is never quiet.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
As she hears Sasha's reprimand, blood courses directly into her cheeks. Get a grip Inamm, you cannot freeze up at a simple wounding. Your still sucking wind so show it some respect and release it before it spoils in your worthless hide.
Inamm quickly follows her comrades into the shrine, trying to focus all her senses on surveying the area.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Hearing Sasha's warning, she readies herself for the charge.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm quaffs the liquid without a thought, her wounds being too severe to even question her new companions intentions.
Healing: (purple dice set)1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Feeling a sudden surge of wellness, she whispers a quiet thanks, and falls in behind Alex and focuses all her attention to their surroundings.
Perception: (pds) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Out of her peripheral vision, Inamm sees Sasha's huge hound rushing towards her and her enemy. Bolstered by the prospect of aid, she sinks into her mental pool of calm to regain her focus. Feeling her hair whip around her, she calmly exhales and attacks.
Attack: melee 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Attack: melee 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Both daggers seem to flow with the air of her breath into gaps in her nemesis' armour.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Hey there DM, can Shari and I get in on some of this game action!!! Sheesh
Desperation fills Inamm as she realizes that she is about to take another hit from her opponent. Using all her mental strength, she tries to center herself for another flurry of strikes.
Attack: melee 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Attack: melee 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Her anticipation of the pain about to be inflicted upon her leaves Inamm's focus poor and both of her strikes hit nothing but metal.
Obviously Inamm's mental strength counts for nothing. Can I change my dice roller? I want to try the purple set. This set doesn't like me...
- memories of live play...
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Feeling her rage trying to bubble out of control, Inamm plunges her daggers at the orc again.
Attack: melee 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Attack: melee 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
As she feels the first dagger ricochet off the orc's armour, she minutely adjusts the angle of her second dagger and manages a minor hit on her opponent.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm takes a cleansing breath as she re-positions her daggers. Her intended victim barely pauses in its rush from the door, being pushed forward by his comrades. With a step forward she shadows the orcs to improve her position and her view into the sanctuary, and then thrusts both daggers at the neck of the fourth orc to emerge.
Attack: melee 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Sneak Attack: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Attack: melee 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
A primal curse of rage escapes her throat as her second dagger hits the metal gorget the vile creature had around his throat.
Advantage number 1 of having the DM sitting right in the room with you - I can get good excuses for why the dice roller obviously hates me. The primal curse actually did occur - stupid useless rolls
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Inamm presses herself into the wall as she hears the door scratch open. Taking advantage of the confused rush of the orcs, she plunges her readied dagger at the torso of the second orc to burst out of the door.
Attack: melee 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Damage: 1d4 + 1d8 ⇒ (1) + (2) = 3
Inamm curses as her dagger deflects at the last second and she barely grazes her intended victim.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
please note that Inamm is going to be looking for a place to try to flank any orcs that might come out of a door, assuming she finds one. If there is no door she will take up position behind a pillar. If she sees her daggar on the way she will scoop it up. I have the same note posted on the map site but I wanted to make sure Dan gets it in a timely fashion.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm was startled by the sudden explosion and the concussive power of the blast. Quickly checking that both her companions were fine, she creeps forward to try to get in a better defensive position in case other orcs burst out of the shrine.
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Seeing Sasha jump into action, Inamm rushes forward to her aid. As she moves closer she can clearly see the second orc hidden behind the pillars. She quickly draws her dagger and throws.
Attack-Ranged (Dagger): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Damage: 1d4 + 1d8 ⇒ (2) + (4) = 6
Seeing her dagger go wide, she softly curses under her breath. You're no use to anyone if you don't focus, girl. Deep breath and try again.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
No apologies necessary, Sharikins. Didn't you notice my crap perception roll?

Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
The six hour trek through the hilly terrain was invigourating for Inamm. So much open space and wind lifted her spirit. This ended as they entered the valley leading to the shrine. Something was definitely wrong and unnatural feeling. The wanton destruction and slaughter made her stomach churn with anger.
The area around the shrine looked pristine, left untouched in the carnage around it, but it was too quiet. This put all of Inamm's senses on high alert. As they approached the gates, she turns and whispers to her new companions, eerily acompanied by a low warning growl from the pitbull beside Sasha.
"I think I should scout the perimeter of the well and see if there is any signs of habitation. I can move quietly and try to avoid detection. You will know if I am unsuccessful", she finishes with an unamused laugh.
Inamm sneaks forward through the gate of the shrine and moves into the cover of the surrounding brush.
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Thinking that she is hidden, she looks around for signs of use.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
did Inamm get her bell, chalk and string? you never told me cost.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
"I, for one, would love an excuse to travel some more. I start to feel confined and uneasy if I spend too long in one place. And some things are more important than the pay they offer. Finding a font of healing water will bring its own rewards. Besides, our previous adventure has already proven to be more lucrative than expected."
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
"You, young Father, can help us by telling us if Father Abercrombie is available. We come with distressing news on behalf of Brother Martin, and must speak to the senior Father. You sing beautifully, and by that, you bring beauty to even the most sparse of surroundings."
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
"Brother Martin this is distressing to me as well. To discover something that suggests that some of your brothers have been lost in some foul treachery and not know who or when. Can you tell if the robes are new? Perhaps the foul orcs were grave robbers instead. While atrocious in itself, it would be better than if they acquired the robes by more direct means."
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Diplomacy : 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Ahhh that sucked. Hi guys, I am here. I just didn't have anything useful to add. And with that roll I still don't. ;).
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inaam shows the merchant her collected items. How much for these, kind sir?
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
As if hearing her voice in her head, Inamm then went in search of the item that her mother had always ensured to have on her. A proper glass mirror is not only an essential female accessory; if broken they offer many alternate uses to a resourceful girl.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm paused by the apple barrel and inwardly grinned. The true sign of a small and well policed town was such displays of an honour system. She chose a nice plump apple and then slipped a few gold coins into the small slotted box on the side of the barrel. At least they have the sense to limit access to the coins. Maybe I can regain some of my lost innocence from the times when my need surpassed the security measures.
Inamm looked over the goods offered. She could not suppress a giggle when she saw a small copper bell displayed among the wares. Calaam would never forgive me if he knew I passed up the opportunity to get a bell. "Essential equipment for all worthy travellers." Never quite understood your need for one, but here's to you, Cal. She picked up the small bell and then remembered that chalk was another "essential tool". If they have that I will honour Cal with that as well, but there is no way I am going to get a ten foot pole.
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm heads straight to the section of the wall that holds the throwing weapons. Though she tends to be diligent about policing her daggars once thrown, she knows that having extras is never problematic.
if there is anything exotic that she could use (had requisite skills) she would be interested in getting it. Things to conceal easily but still be accessible. I don't know how to tell cost so please help me

Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm fell into her old habit of alertness combined with unobtrusive observation. She had long developed an ability to participate in general banter with companions without actually devoting more than a little of her attention. Her main focus however were the people and the buildings that they were passing, looking for the tells she had learned to indicate hidden wealth or suspicious behaviour. She wanted to gather information about the Keep and it's inhabitants quickly in case she needed to disappear quickly. This was a habit she had developed after some difficult lessons.
Her interest was peaked when she got a better look at the workmanship displayed in the tailor and cobbler's windows. She also made a mental note of the Pawn Shop just down from them.
Inaam is seriously looking for things like quick escape routes and dead ends, both at street and roof level. She is also looking at the people they pass to figure out wealth, status. She is trying to surreptitiously eavesdrop on conversations to try and get an idea of things about the Keep that may be interesting, or worse, indicate any overt interest in her personally. She is attempting to do all this while trying to maintain an appearance of a casual newcomer to this Keep. Dan, I do not know what I will need to roll to do all these things:
A) look casual
B) listen to conversations on the street that look promising
C) locate people behaving suspiciously
D) try to figure out if anyone seems overtly interested in her (understanding that her racial characteristics and new status in the Keep will garner some casual interest regardless
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm eats her fill of the offered breakfast, again leaning towards the sweeter of the offerings. When Greeves offers her the money pouch, she is immediately taken aback by the weight of it. Did he pay us in copper...So help me I'll..., quickly taking a peak inside..have to thank him for his generosity.
Looking to her new companions, she mentally compares the sizes of the pouches each where given, although Greeves had made no apparent effort to give them out specifically. Well, I would love to explore the Keep further, but am reluctant to wander alone in a new city. Would either, or both, of you care to join me?
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
I would love a piece of boar, but it has been a very long time since I have enjoyed a sweet dessert. If it is not too much trouble, could I start with the dessert and see where that leads me? I would not want the offered vegetables to mistake me for the garden they grew in. I will reimburse you for any additional cost my odd request subjects you too.
With that said Inamm flops herself down as gracelessly as possible at their indicated table. She takes a long swig from the tankard already sitting there and closes her eyes. Even from the short trip that they had since the fight the dust from the road coats her, but she resigns herself to wait until after some food.
Oh, could I also get a flask of your best wine for my companions and I?
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
After her comrades enter, Inamm steps forward and bows deeply to the innkeeper
Thank you kind sir. May the air around you always be sweet. After my travels a sweet tea would be welcome. However, after the exersion and bruising I received this morning, I , for one, would love something a little more medicinal, if you understand my meaning.
She finishes her greeting with a hearty clap on his shoulder and a wink, the fit of laughter still evident in her voice and lessening her usual discomfort around new people. Her levity is short-lived though as she notices the sour looks on her new companions faces. Maybe I should forgo the 'medication'. Perhaps I am accompanied by teetotallers. .
Female Sylph Rogue (Knife Master)-2
Inamm tried to listen carefully to Kelus as he started his tour of the Keep. This lasted for about two minutes before the smells, sights and sounds of the Keep pulled her typically fleeting attention away.
The Keep was too small for the typical hustle and bustle she was used to. She quickly realized that strangers in this town were not likely to go unnoticed as her party drew numerous quizzical looks from the people they passed. Lost in her own thoughts, she almost bumped into Sasha as everyone stopped in front of the sturdy iron door of the Hostel.
Not wanting to be rude and push passed Sasha to reach the chain, she patiently waited, and then waited some more, for one of them to pull it. Then, just as she was beginning to see the advantages of pushing forward, Alex preempted Sasha's attempt, and her consequent giggling drew a fit of laughter from Inamm as well.
