Sorry guys, crazy time at work. Been at weekend courses and then had to work Sunday unexpectedly (still getting used to remembering to read a schedule instead of just doing 9-5ish weekdays). I have been pretty wiped out and spending my home hours that I am awake trying to learn the theory of teaching lessons so that I can be helpful in the water during my shifts. That is one of the next major things I have to qualify to do, which means cramming 2 courses in as soon as possible. Plus I am going to be trained to instruct first aid/CPR/AED sometime before mid-January, as I need to co-teach a course then. Lots of stuff to coming up. Good news is that I am now certified as a Lifeguard (again), in First Aid/CPR/AED (again), and as a Kayak/Canoe instructor. I am going to learn skin diving (with the boys) and oxygen provider this coming week. My brain is going to explode but it is never quiet.
Sasha X
Sasha stepped forward as the rat-dog rushed past her and swung with her right hand. only one attack, right?
Attack sword 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Swearing as she nearly missed so completely that she nearly threw her sword across the room, Sasha prepared to attack again.
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Sasha X
Both swords slicing this time, Sasha danced out of the way of the ratdog's teeth, and did her best to decapitate it.
Attack sword 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Attack sword 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Simultaneously, Will tore into the creature before him, worrying at it with his teeth.
Will attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Unfortunately, the creature's hide was thick, and though Will was able to shake the creature vigorously before losing his hold, he was unable to hurt it.
Inamm
Inamm saw the unnatural creature wriggle itself loose from Will's huge muzzle and was determined that such an abomination should not be allowed to foul the wind with its breath any longer. Whispering a brief prayer to the creator of the winds, she steps toward the creature and plunges her daggers at its deformed torso.
Attack dagger 1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Attack dagger 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
damage: 1d4 + 1d4 ⇒ (4) + (4) = 8
Alex 1
Alex was about to beat the remaining ratdog when Inamm quietly dispatched the creature with a well-placed dagger. I'm assuming the creature will die. If not then Alex will attack it.
Turning her attention back to the chanting, Alex moved forward after letting Sasha lead the way.

Inamm does indeed dispatch the ratdog. The room where the creatures were kenneled seems to have been a kitchen. Most of the equipment has been stolen, and the shelves broken. A number of bones makes a sort of nest in one corner. Stairs leading up end in rubble, while a set going down into the earth show only darkness, and the sound of chanting.
Sasha X
Sasha took point again, moving carefully towards the descending staircase. Gesturing for a lantern, she silently lights it and leads the way down the stairs. She has a sword in one hand, and is ready to drop the lantern and draw the other weapon if necessary. With a silent gesture at Will, she has the dog bring up the rear, to make sure nothing sneaks up behind them unnoticed.
Inamm
Inamm gestures to get Sasha's attention. In the quietest of voices, with a silent prayer that the wind takes her words directly to her companions ear and no where else, she suggests that she can scout ahead without the lantern. Then she readies two daggers and moves forward down the stairs with all the stealth she can muster, all the while looking for tell tale signs that the area may have traps to warn the occupants of unwanted guests.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Disable Device: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
I know this will slow us down but I do not want any surprises. I am not sure how to check for traps, or even if I really can, but I am trying whether I have the 'skill' or not.
Acrobatics +9, Appraise +4, Bluff +7, Diplomacy +7, Disable Device +11, Knowledge (local) +5, Perception +6, Sense Motive +5, Sleight of Hand +9 (+10 to conceal a light blade), Stealth +9

Inamm checks the way down, but does not come across any traps. You find yourselves in a cramped hallway with a scroll rack along one side. The many scrolls have been torn up and destroyed. A cursory check shows they were ledgers and histories for the monastery. The short hallway ends at a door. The chanting is much louder here, but you are still not able to understand what is being said.
Inamm
Inamm gestures to her colleagues to wait by the scroll rack. She moves slowly closer to the door to examine it more closely, troubled by the odd properties of this door. She is trying to use all her senses to determine the true nature of it and whether they can get through it undetected.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 ... Hesseth
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Disable Device: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28

You open the door to an unnatural light from within. The steady, while illumination nearly blinds you, however you were able to look away at the last moment, and save your sight.
Within the room the chanting is almost deafening. A huge orc dressed in armor and a strange headdress stands over some sort of machinery. He chants and makes mystical gestures over the machine.
Standing in the corner is another orc. A huge black-skinned brute, he whips around as the door opens and snarls something.
All roll for initiative

The huge black orc reacts a swiftly as a striking adder, lashing out with a falchion at Inamm.
Attack-melee: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (2, 1) + 4 = 7
The axe-like beak shatters the door as it misses the half-sylph by inches.
The other orc continues to chant.
Sasha, then Inamm and finally Alex can go (so all attack!! )
Sasha X
Is there something wrong with the game board? It's all black, with just the Sasha icon to move around.
Sasha and Wil moved forward as one, moving around and infront of Inamm in an effort to shield her from further attacks. The dog lunged forward, going for the knee, while Sasha lashed out with both swords, attacking high and low simultaneously.
Wil attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Attack sword 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Attack sword 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Inamm
Inamm murmurs a thank you to the winds as the orc's blade barely misses her. Knowing that chanting is not always an innocent exercise for your voice, she decides her best course would be to try to disrupt the chanting orc as quickly as possible. So with a cleansing breath, she attempts to maneuver further into the chamber.
Acrobatics (getting by Alex): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Acrobatics (getting passed orc): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Landing her final roll a little closer to the huge black orc than she had wanted, she curses herself for not being more diligent with her training while simultaneously thanking the spirits for not treating her as her former master would have for her error. Pulling out both her daggers, she aims them at the neck and spine of the chanting orc.
Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Sneak Attack Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Sneak Attack Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Curses...
Alex 1
Alex watched Inamm slip by Sasha to get into the room and figured that she would be able to do the same.
acrobatics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Unfortunately, Alex had no practice in maneuvering her body through tight places and she ended up bumping Sasha a little closer to the orc she was fighting in her attempt to move by.
Balls!

Round Two
Black Orc
Chanting Orc
Sasha
Inamm
Alex
The huge black orc again swings his mighty sword, aiming at Sasha
Attack-Melee: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 2) + 4 = 7
Again the massive weapon misses it target.
The chanting Orc looks over at your party and make an odd gesture with his hand. Suddenly you feel a darkness and cold creep into your bodies.
Will save..DC13
Fail= -1 to all attacke, damage and AC
Save= no effect
Sasha X
will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Sasha shook off the feeling of dread, and focused on her enemy.
Will attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Attack sword 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Attack sword 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Clearly the dog was feeling shaken up by the spell, for he nearly attacked his tail instead of the orc. Distracted by her dog, Sasha missed with the first stroke, but recovered and bit deep with the second.
Inamm
Inamm centers herself to combat the ill feeling she gets as the chanting orc seems to try to fog her mind with doubt and despair. Drawing in a deep breath of cleansing air,
Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
she feels herself clear the haze trying to affect her essence.
Feeling violated at the chanting orcs attempt to overpower her, she digs deep and slices both daggers towards it again.
Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Dagger Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Alex 1
Alex felt the darkness closing in on her and the cold freezing her bones.
will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Panic welled up in the alcehmist's mind and she found it hard to focus on what she was doing. Moving into the room Alex threw one of her shock bombs at the chanting orc.
attack: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 6 - 1 = 20
damage: 1d6 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 - 1 = 7
I can't remember how big this room is but thought it would be big enough to toss a bomb. Tried to find the link to the map but couldn't. If room is too small then Alex would attack with her quarterstaff and I'd have to roll my attack again.

The big orc, wobbling from the many wounds he has taken, attempts to strike back at the party.
Attack Inamm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 2) + 4 = 9
The blade once again misses the nimble sylph.
The chanting orc, now upset that you are interrupting him, shouts a command at Inamm.
"STAND STILL"
Inamm please make a will save vs DC-13
Inamm
Inamm feels the will of the chanting orc try to overcome her. Frustration and anger welled up inside her at the audacity of the creature for trying to subvert her.
Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
A primal curse hissed through her teeth as she plunged her daggers once again toward her foe.
Dagger Attack:: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage:: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Dagger Attack:: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage:: 1d4 + 1d4 ⇒ (2) + (1) = 3
Sasha X
"Will! Behind you! Attack!" Sasha gave her dog the command to change enemies. The pitbull spun around and lunged at the no-longer-chanting orc.
Wil attack : 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
The orc, however, easily evaded the dog, as if he wasn't concerned by such a lowly creature.
Sasha continued to press her attack on her enemy, swords flashing as she struck again and again.
Attack sword 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Attack sword 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
However, luck was against her and her weapons skittered across the big foe's armour.
woah, guys, slow down! I can barely keep up! :)
Sasha X
Roaring in anger, Sasha swung at her foe with all her might. She WOULD kill this orc, and she would do it NOW!
Attack sword 1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Attack sword 2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Her first stroke bit deeply into the orc's shoulder, releasing a satisfying spray of blood. The second, alas, missed completely.
As the orc staggered, she cried, "Wil! Kill!"
Wil attack : 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
- not sure about his AC - is that a hit? eh? eh?
