Appearance:

Iluna is a tall and massive woman with dark hair and eyes, reflecting her heritage. She towers over many men and relishes her strength, which overmatches most men as well. Strapped to her back is a massive sword and around her neck is the holy symbol of Shelyn.

background:

Iluna's mother–Eilonwyn, a bard beloved by Shelyn–fell in love with a paladin of Shelyn who joined the Mendevian crusade, promising to return with stories of glory and honor in defense of beauty. Alas, the paladin fell in battle and Eilonwyn became famed for the threnodies she composed in his honor, transforming her grief into beauty.

Then, one night, he returned. Overjoyed, Eilonwyn took him into her arms only to discover, once the morning came, that the paladin was a fraud, that the man she thought had returned from death was really Zon-Kuthon, lord of cruelty, seeking to break the spirit of one of Shelyn's most beloved servants.

And it almost work, for months Eilonwyn lived mired in horror and grief, suicidal and filled with despair. And then, the baby came and she was beautiful. Eilonwyn dedicated herself to raising this child of darkness, her daughter Iluna, in the light and beauty of Shelyn's world.

While she was growing, Iluna loved stories and songs of heros. She planned to become a bard in service to Shelyn like her mother, but, due to her divine heritage, she kept growing and growing, outpacing most of the girls and then most of the boys who were her childhood companies. It became obvious to her, and to her mother, that she was called, not to life of song, chronicling great heroes, but to be one of those great warriors.

At first she thought to become a paladin, like her lost father, but Iluna's dark heritage made that path impossible. Though she is a lover of beauty, and strives to live a carefree life seeking adventure and glory, Iluna is also prone to fits of rage and destruction. At times her father's personality comes out and she can be cruel and vicious. She strives to master her dark side, but she worries that, one day, it may overtake her.

Iluna travels the Inner Sea region, seeking adventure, glory, and new experiences. She has just come to Riddleport and, hearing of a gambling tournament, seeks to enter, to experience the thrill of the event.
