Sorry GM, not used to using poison and I misunderstood...I thought it took two successive saves on a successful hit...

Zurnzal, I don't have Deadeye Bowman or Improved Precise Shot so if I fire at him, you provide soft cover adding +4 to his AC...and after my last shot, looks like he has DR10 so I can't do much damage even if I can hit him and I'm out of poison...I couldn't move to strike him with my blade as Joliryn is already there...so I figured giving us an option to grab the Sky Key was another alternative...

With Zurnzal grappling Aram, Marnarius has no clear shot...and with Joliryn on the near flank, he has no move to strike with his blade...he instead looks over at the glass case protecting the sky key and fires 3 arrows at it hoping to break the case open (he'll stop firing if one of the arrow breaks the case)...and awaits to see the results...

Question on disbelieving at illusion. I know I failed my last check...my next move was going to be to use a Slayer trait and study my target (since Aram Zey is human, I'll get +4/+4). In the rules, I believe it says direct interaction or study allows a Will check to disbelieve...since using 'study' would be my first action next round, does that mean I'd get to roll a Will Save before taking the rest of my action? Or does that Slayer ability not count as a proper 'study' as far as illusions go?

When the half-Orc mentions his ambush plan, Marnarius nods and sneaks off to the woods close to Skyreach, coating his blade with deathblade poison while awaiting Zurnzal to lure the agent there...

He goes to work on the Sphinx's lock...

He'll then await till the Sphinx communicates with the other animals...once he hears that, Marnarius will sneak to the serpent's cage and attempt to disable it as well...

With the Sphinx communicating to the others, I assume I no longer need an Handle Animal check? Also you mentioned earlier, that Marnarius thought three would be sufficient to cause a distraction so I also assume there's no need to free more...

If he's successful, Marnarius will give a final nod to the Sphinx and leave...

GM, is Marnarius supposed to try to get the weapon before joining back up with the others? Wasn't sure since it's in the vaults beneath Skyreach and we're headed to the vaults as part of our main mission any way...if so, he'll head to Skyreach, if not, he'll head back to find the others...

Can I take 10 on the Sense Motive check? I think I know the Sphinx's general meaning either way but I'm guessing I need to nail the check regardless...

Marnarius grimaces upon seeing the keys on the zookeeper; he knows he's not spry enough to pick those keys off without alerting the man and knows he can't fight without alerting everyone else...

He'll remain hidden and wait till the zookeeper is out of view before sneaking to the reinforced cages, thinking they'll make a bigger splash if freed... while eying the Sphinx, he wonders if the beast might easily overpower him so decides against doing that cage first. Thus he tries the double-headed vulture cage to start. He checks for traps first and then tries to quietly calm the creature before working on the locks...
