Appearance:
Two lengths of Ibara's long starless lochs hang from her voluminous smooth updo crowned with a topknot, and frame her high cheekboned face. Her small pout of a mouth sports a dab of red similar in color to the shadow around the corners of her oval blue eyes. Despite the vigorous daily plucking applied to her high set eyebrows which slant sharply downward on the inner half, the thick hairy features provide her expressions with a slight permanent scowl. Her large broken nose contrast with the delicate presentation only slightly more than her small but pronounced ears laden with many rings of various metals. Scars run all across the length of her lean muscled figure but the most defined run through her strong chin and across her knuckles. Her posture appears slovenly or drunk but for those who watch closely see her movements are actually taut and graceful. She wears a high collared red leather Yin vest with fur lining and emblazoned with faded winding dragon symbols. Her right arm is covered with a deep emerald padded cloth gauntlet from shoulder to her hand ending in a fingerless glove. Hanging from her hips, a crimson sash with gold coins sewn into it which holds a pure white scabard with a white handle on a broken long sword. Hanging on the other hip from the sash is a sake gourd with no less than five wooden religious symbols from various conflicting dieties tied to it. Her left arm is sleeved in an intricate Varisian tattoo depicting her life story. Tall geta sandals adorn her feet which show early signs of binding, the outer toes curled slightly inward. Her lower half is clothed in a black string-tie mao knee shorts and a dark green kimono wraps around her hips while the top half hangs off of her backside. Personality:
Myers Briggs Extroverted Thinking (Te): outwardly express their judgments and opinions, tendency to think out loud, strives to bring order, control, and rationality to external systems and operations, wants to take action. Introverted Sensing (Si): spends time reflecting on the past or cherished traditions, prefers routine, sensitive to inner-body sensations, compares present experiences to past ones. Extroverted Intuition (Ne): seeks outer discovery, playful, restless, loves new ideas, connections, and possibilities, external brainstorming, looks beyond the surface to find hidden data, patterns, and possibilities, searching for the unknown. Introverted Feeling (Fi): withholding external evidence of their emotions, adhering closely to personal feelings and values. Ibara Boswell expresses her opinions very frankly; in fact, she shares every thought as it comes to her (dominant Te). Everything she deals with on a daily basis goes back to her own former experiences and information; she keeps track of ideas, conclusions, and ways to battle different kinds of opponents/creatures, so that she can use them in the present (Si). Ibara also tends to focus mostly on the present (Si) but with a bigger eye toward her future; she wants to become a famous boxer and comes up with the ideal imaginary life (Ne) but inevitably falls back on practicality (Si). (Si-Ne). She has trouble relating to other people, and not becoming highly emotional and selfish in a bad situation. Ibara isn’t easily insulted, but also struggles to confide in others when she needs to (inferior Fi). Expanded History:The Rise and Fall of a Geisha:
Due to her heritage and western physical appearance, she was often mistreated in her youth. This not only gave her a hardened outlook but caused her to wear a mask of fierceness and in turn, become a bully herself. Her aggressive nature and tendency to pick on others left her with few friends but instilled in her a deep ambition to be the best in her field. In the back of her mind, she was trying to be as good a hostess as her father presumably was at adventuring. Her "Exotic" appearance made this easier as it pushed her to be a popular choice for clients at the geisha house. Coupled with the fact that she excelled in her training(in no small part due to her mothers efforts) and made her a stand out entertainer. She flaunted this fact over her peers and gave her a reputation of emotional shortsightedness and petty cruelty. When confronted with resistance to her efforts she would either emotionally or physically abuse them, made all the easier by her geisha training which included proficient conversational exercises and rigorous tai chi to keep fit. For years she was the top dog at her house reveling in all of the high-end clothes and food she could want, with realistic aspirations of running it one day. This all came to a halt when she was entertaining one particularly drunken patron who claimed to know her father. Over years of being put down for her mixed heritage, she had grown a fix skin to such negative comments, but this soussed Westerner aggravated her beyond belief with a constant barrage of insults, climaxing with the truth about her father. She snapped and nearly killed him with a single haymaker. The hogokai tend to frown on their girls assaulting patrons and removed her status and kicked her out of the house. Her mother disowned her to avoid dishonor and Ibaa lost her only friend in the world. Her world was shattered and she was left responded. So she turned to the only person she had left in the world. Her source of inspiration and hero, her father.
