Thank you all - so like with most cases this is a simple interpretation, while I see that any ruling that is for critical should apply to sneak :)

Special circumstances not withstanding (arcane trickster, sniper rogues, etc):

Spell must have an attack roll and only one sneak attack per spell.

Works with rays and essentially any spell with a roll to hit, but only one per spell.

Not area of effects.

Thanks for the quick response!

you are correct in my opinion, but in actions it specifically separates attacks and spellcasting, under spells it says

Touch Attacks: Touching an opponent with a touch spell is considered to be an armed attack and therefore does not provoke attacks of opportunity. The act of casting a spell, however, does provoke an attack of opportunity. Touch attacks come in two types: melee touch attacks and ranged touch attacks. You can score critical hits with either type of attack as long as the spell deals damage. Your opponent's AC against a touch attack does not include any armor bonus, shield bonus, or natural armor bonus. His size modifier, Dexterity modifier, and deflection bonus (if any) all apply normally.

But it does NOT specify Sneak

I have found that the rules specify you can critical with a spell, but nowhere do I see that you can use them to deliver a sneak attack as it was before in 3.5
Can somebody point to me whether this is the case, and if you can, how to interpret the rules that way?

Thanks!
