Hudjefa's page

A tall, gaunt man with extremely pallid skin dressed in a formal military version of more typical flowing desert garb. His clothing, armor, and shield are colored in the blue and white of Pharasma, with the spiralling comet very much in evidence. He stands apart from everyone else even when in a crowd, holding himself very straight and casting a suspicious eye at everyone.

A ward of the Grand Mausoleum of Pharasma since infancy, Hudjefa is known by many as a devout follower and an excellent Inquisitor. The rest of the order of Inquisition view him with suspicion and a little fear, views which carry over into the general populace and give him a little extra air of mystery. Even the fact that the church never gave him a real name but instead used the term applied to Pharoahs with no known name has added to his overall mystery.

Abandonded at the Grand Mausoleum of Pharasma as an infant, Hudjefa has no knowledge of his previous family or their intent. The Mummy's Curse that had been running through his family for generations, manifested itself in Hudjefa, causing him health problems and giving his skin a sickly pallor. It is very likely that his mother detected the taint of undeath upon him and deided to turn him over to the church for eradication.
Many of the clergy wanted to do just that, but the headmaster saw his delivery as part of a little known prophecy and argued for his inclusion into the faith. The headmaster's impassioned arguments proved enough to save Hudjefa's life, but could not stop the rest of the devotees from treating him with suspicion and disdain.
While the tenents of Pharasma connected with Hudjefa in a very real way, he could never become comfortable around other people and especially other clergy. He also learned to revile his own taint and to mistrust himself. This mistrust of himself causes him to view all people with suspicion and lead him to join the order of Inquisition.
The recent opening of the burial sites has worried many members of Pharasma's faith who are worried about the possibility of undead guardians getting loose amongst the populace. Hudjefa, seeing a chance to finally purge some of the hate running through his bones sought an opportunity to investigate the ruins.
