Background:

Hoss grew up on Earth, separated from the great frontier of space. His parents worked simple office jobs, plowing away dilligently 9-5, 5 days a week. This usually left Hoss with his own devices. He made a few friends, and through them found the fantastic world of comics and movies. It allowed him to imagine a life with far flung adventures, suspence, romance, and action - a much different life to what he led at the time. As his love of escapism grew, so did his perfered genre. It started with fantasy and action, slowly moving into more serious subjects, and finally settling down on horror and thriller. Hoss had a particular penchant for true-crime, ghost stories, and other chilling and myterious tales.

As he grew up, Hoss decided to mold himself into the likness of the hardened detectives and hunters of the unknown that he had spent a childhood reading about, fulfilling his dream of leading an interesting and challenging life. It wasn't long before the call of the stars was heard by him and Hoss left behind his tired life as a Terran, vaulting into the sea of stars in order to discover unknown wonders.

He bounced around, travelling to different stations and planets, taking on odd jobs and detective work from the locals. Hoss wasn't particularly adept at the investigating portions of his job, perfering to use his natural charms and man made steel discover whatever he needed; what he did excel at was apprehending his charge. As his travels broaded so did his jobs, most of them growing darker and stranger as time went on. Soon enough, he was seeing and learning things that just didn't add up, clues would lead to unbeliveable reveals, and the universe made just a little less sense.

It wasn't long before he had made his way back around to Earth, and he returned a changed man. He was still the loud, clumsy, witty man who had left, but there was a fire in his eye that hadn't been there before. He threw himself into the weird, with no second thoughts, finally finding something truly different. In his studies he stumbled upon the Wardens of the UWC, which had been previously unknown (or ignored) to himself. Immediatly he joined, hoping to put his accumulated knowledge and his drive against the occult to good use, and secure himself a grand legacy.
