The really goofy bit on the Sarrissa is that it refers to itself as a 15' spear, so you can't reallistically bring it in an dungeons....

I figured it would make the most sense, but does that mean I can use the polearm master archetype to shorten it's reach (or spear dancing style feats).

Will this need a house rule to count as part of the Fighter Weapon groups or is there anything official?

I just found the Sarissa in the Giant Hunter Handbook and I am just wondering if it fits into any of the Fighter Weapon groups (like spear or polearm)?

It says "a tetori uses his monk level in place of his BAB for grapples"

That presumably applies whatever the source of said BAB . A lvl 4 tetori/5fighter would grapple with a bonus of +9, but a level 4 tetori/6wizard would have only +7, not +10.

Thanks for your help!

I was being dumb, it works like flurry of blows. got it!

Animate Thread!

On another note for the tetori's graceful grapple. I have a character concept for a tetori/white-haired witch.

where I have 4 level of Tetori and more levels of witch.

graceful grapple says a tetori uses his monk level in place of his BAB for grapples. but in my case his BAB would eventually end up higher than his monk levels.

would it default to the highest number?

I have been thinking about building a cleave heavy dwarf spiritualist with the Ectoplasmatist archetype. as you end up with a weapon with 10' reach that can still hit adjacent targets. Then using the dwarf cleave feats you can hit every enemy you threaten.

That being said I am always wary of Giant killer as I don't know how often big groups of them would be threatened at the same time, which would impact how effective the feat is.

Changing the spell levels a class gets access to is a huge change.

Yes it is quite nice

Snowblind I am surprised you have not heard of it before?

Sublime isn't a pathfinder prestige class, it's 3.5.

There is a way in the weapon masters handbook to combine vital strike and cleave. You have to have improved vital strike to take it though.
I think you are talking about All-Consuming Swing which is kinda cool, but when you do it you take the extra vital strike damage (not blocked by DR) as well as the enemy. Which severely limits it in my eyes.

No, I'm talking about the two-handed weapon trick Cleaving Smash.

Quote:

Cleaving Smash

Additional Prerequisite(s): Cleave, Improved Vital Strike, Power Attack

When you use Cleave, you can add the additional damage from Vital Strike to both your initial and your secondary attacks. If you also have the Greater Vital Strike feat, you can instead add the damage from Improved Vital Strike to both your initial and your secondary attacks.

Wow! why would anyone take all-consuming swing when that feat exists?

with Cleave through letting you take a 5ft step this could be very deadly against large groups

If you're a dwarf it's not bad. Going six feats deep into a chain that borders on garbage until you have great cleave and orc hewer should, in my opinion, be way more impressive then whirlwind with a five-foot step.

A very valid point, but I think if you completely focused on Cleave you could devastate groups of enemies.

It is feat heavy but if you added Cleaving Finish you could Cleave the same targets more than once as long as you killed one of your targets.
