As a side note (moot since he missed his attack on Noro), you shouldn’t be able to make an attack after using Abundant step RAW (It’s “as Dimension door”) Of course GM fiat applies, but the same also applies to when I use my Flickering Step ability that does the same. In fact, there's a whole Chain of Feats designed around being able to act after teleporting (dimensional agility is the minimum required to act after dimension door)

I mean, if you miss the roll should be with a substantial penalty. Being able to do something poorly isn't likely to impress a crowd. I think the text actually covers the minimum. A flaming weapon doesn't. do it but Flaming Burst would on a critical. Think about what would be able to be clearly seen from the stands. I'd think Shock shield, Burning hands, flare burst, shocking greasp, thunderstomp, clarion call, color spray, dazzling blade, enlarge person and snapdragon fireworks would likely be the lowest-level spells to qualify. (all noticably visible/audible spell effects) Honestly, I'd think your opening move would probably qualify: "A cloud of golden particles covers everyone and everything in the area, causing creatures to become blinded and visibly outlining invisible things for the duration of the spell. All within the area are covered by the dust, which cannot be removed and continues to sparkle until it fades. " If I was in the crowd I'd definitely remember this

So between the impact on visibility for everyone, and the negative effect it'll have on crowd response which is apparently a big factor in this AP, stinking cloud seems like a pretty bad idea except in the most emergency situation, especially since enemies first action would be to leave the cloud, And if we stayed in it to use it for cover it becomes a fireball target. And yeah the emphasis on visibility and crowd response really hampers the usefulness of greater invisibility as well. Haste is good any battlefield control that hampers enemies rather than focuses on allies probably better courses of action, especially if we can one two combo haste and slow in the same round.. He told me it would likely spend the first couple of rounds buffing, then start tearing into opponents. She has at least minor resistance to four of the five energy types, deals acid damage with every strike, can add additional damage types as needed, and can cover a lot of ground very quickly when needed with short-range teleporting. If we end up facing chung-po again the grease would definitely be welcome

Fort save(1 check)/Personal Trial: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (8) + 17 = 25 While the powerful slam definitely hurt, it had no affect on her state of mind whatsoever, in fact Hitome's mind was racing, assessing her extremely limited options. The stipulations of the contest, non-lethal grappling were very heavily in Chong Po's favor, the fact that he wished to engage in such likely indicating a weakness in other forms of combat. In her current pinned state, there were practically no options that wouldn't either violate the non-lethal agreement, or reveal abilities that would be a valuable surprise should the need arise in the actual tournament. Though it would not favor her team going into the first round, there was much benefit in having those witnessing this exchange underestimating her, or even attempting similar tactics when facing her, and now, she definitely understood how at leas one potential enemy fought. Swallowing her pride, she tests the strength of the grappler's adamantine grip before letting out a breath and tapping his side, signaling her concession, and his victory. Mathematically only a NATURAL 20 woul break the pin I'm in now, and all of my combat options either violate the non-lethal grappling stipulation of will gave away too much.

I wouldn't get too attached to the idea of using spells that substantially alter other PC's.

Yeah. In an attempt to make skill and non combat oriented players more useful in the tournament, the actually end up punishing players for not investing in Performance Totally not worth taking the hit for the sake of flavor in this case

Dropped Perform (Calligraphy) and Artistry (Bonsai) since they were just flavor, and essentially useless here and put those points into Perform (Dance). With my Charisma mod it gives a +13, which should help quite a bit.

I suppose switching my perform skill to dance wouldn't be a bad idea, nor out of tune with a martial artist

Better a 1 in the intro than when the fighting starts. Especially if saves are involved.

HHitome smiles to herself as the fireworks begin. Shed opted for a spot near the prow, a floor length simple black hooded cloak obscuring her presence amid the spectacle. She was not anywhere the performer that Lua was by any stretch of the imagination, but she was under no illusion of the impact her presence could have.
