About Hissarion Azor

Description
Hissarion Azor is the type of man on the backs of which the Empire was built ages ago. He stands confidently, looking out across his prominent, patrician nose as if challenging the world. He keeps his hair longer than the imperial fashion, a habit picked up in the army. He wears a long cloak over armor with a lacquered golden imperial griffon clasp, which is the obviously most cared for of his possessions. Close at hand is a rapier also bearing the imperial insignia.

Backstory and Motivations:

Hissarion Azor would have been better served to have been born at the founding of the Empire rather than in its twilight days. He loved the stories of the knights and heroes of old told to him by his Great-Uncle, who was himself a veteran of the imperial army. As soon as he could, Hissarion joined the army to make his own legend, but then the invaders came. Sent to the front, Hissarion's unit met the retreating remnants of those who had lost against this new foe, and hearing the terrible stories of the invaders, disintegrated. Hissarion found himself fleeing with the others instead of standing heroically. He fled along with the rest of the imperial army, with the hordes always just out of sight on their heels. Eventually, Hissarion found himself in the relative safety of the Vales; but having fled how can he make a name for himself equal to that of the heroes of the early empire?
