"Huzzah Sir Tree! Into the fray!" Hiru will follow quickly after him.
Hiru moves forward, now that he has the permission of the inhabitants.
Spoiler: [b]"Do you know what this thing looks like? If so, we can know how best to deal with it."[/ooc]
Spoiler: "No, we are warriors of the light. We bear crystals which have been fortold to be able to save the world. At least I do. My companions have not shown me their crystals yet, but I know they have them, for so the sacred book has shown me."
"It's okay. these fine beings," Hiru indicates the Jaguar people "are the ones who were communicating with their minds at me." Turning back to the jaguars, Hiru will say "amd these are my friends, Sir Hobbes, Sir tree, and Sir Tchk. We are warriors of the light and are trying to stop the decay of the world."
Spoiler: "We slept well. Are you in this place that we have come? if so, could you show yourself? Speaking with the mind is not the same as speaking face-to-face. We mean you no harm as long as you mean the same thing."
"Hello? Is anyone lost and hurt down here?"
"So, now what?"
Hiru will take a look down the hole and see what can be seen.
Spoiler: "Thank you for your offer, but we will be fine. Good luck to you in your endeavors, however!"
"Someone is talking to my mind and offering me shelter, in exchange for something left behind by the ancients."
Spoiler: "And what would that price be?
Spoiler: "Hiru. And camping appearantly."
Hiru will pick up what appears to be a revolver, look at it with clear disdain, then toss it on the ground.
"Where did these knights of ...purity? come from? are the on the road the way that we are heading, or were you headed off road?"
"I am not."
"I am Hiru, warrior of the light, and these are my companions, Sir Hobbes and Sir Tree. We are trying to stop the decay of the world by helping others, as shown in the holy text. How did you come to be under attack by snake creatures?"
"Are you alright sir? did those thugs injure you?" Hiru will sheathe his blade and then offer the man a hand up.
Hiru goes charging to the rescue, shouting "Unhand him, ruffians!"
"Well, that was interesting! Shall we continue on our quest?"
Again, shuffle forward, swing, shuffle back.
Hiru draws his sword and attacks, swinging it in a very choppy motion.
"I can do that." says Hiru to the others in a low voice. He then proceeds to move over to the rat-like creatures and says "Hello."
"Excellent! A side dungeon!"
"So I am Hiru, warrior of the light, and this is Sir Hobbes. The tree over there hasn't named himself yet. What are your names?"
"Umm....hello. You're not a random encounter, are you?"
"I believe he wants us to follow him. Should we do so?"
"Sir Hobbes, I believe it is trying to communicate with us!"
"Bah weep graw weep ni ni graw." says Hiru by way of greeting.
"Bubble thing! do you seek to stop our righteous quest?" Hiru shouts, drawing his sword and readying his shield.
"Oh, no, a random encounter!"
Taking the map, Hiru will say "Very well. Let us proceed down the road then." Hiru will then begin walking.
"Well, it looks like we have two different ways to go: either overland, or along the road. If we take the road, we're less likely to get a random encounter, which means that we'll get further along before we do. if we go overland, we'll be slower but higher level when we get to the dungeon."
"Do you know anything about the Sagow Ensnoot dungeon? does it have a particular theme?"
"Quest Accepted!"
"Greetings Quest Giver Justinian! I am Hiru, one of the warriors of light! I am here to prevent the decay of the world."
"Non-Player Character. I'm one of the warriors of light, so I'm a Player Character, or PC. I'm working on preventing the decay of the world." With that, Hiru produces a crystal that seems to radiate light from within it.
"Lady guard NPC, I am here to meet with quest giver Justinian!" ......................................................................
