2/2 HelpBot Communal +1s to Use
soak: 1d6 ⇒ 4 HelpBot Mk II survives the bullet onslaught relatively unscathed as well. Being of slightly more sound progamming and body than Mk I, it manages to stay upright, and in fact 'rescues' Mk I from the spare parts room, employing a taser if need be. Both of the active HelpBots lock into their cradles in the robotics core, and disable movement protocols, instead networking back into the Standard HelpBot In-Ship Elective Drive, named so for the fact that it is an additional upgrade to the HelpBot core programming, so you have to elect into it for a nominal fee.
The Linked HelpBot Network begins to light up, signalling that stubborn stains in the docking bay may need additional HelpBot assistance. HelpBot Mk II re-engages, rolling out of it's cradle. "Recalcitrant stains?? Never fear, HelpBot is on the way!" ------------------------------------------ In the docking bay, the sound of screeching tires briefly surpasses the sound of gunfire. HelpBot Mk II rounds the corner on two wheels, hoses already at the ready. "Eat concentrated cleaning fluid, stain!," the HelpBot cheerfully yells. DEEPER CLEANSE PROTOCOL: 1d6 ⇒ 2 The same mister program kicks on, showering the guards in a slightly soapy mist. The chassis opens and a small scrub brush emerges, and begins scrubbing the dented knee armor on the guard savagely beating Able.

HelpBot Mk II hums contentedly. "What a nice AI," it sighs to the other HelpBots.
I will fix this engine, or blow us all up. There is no longer any middle ground. HelpBot Mk II rolls into the engine room hot on the trail of Mk I. Unfortunately, this HelpBot had proven more wiley than it's predecessor - facial recognition software allowed it to recognize when robot-directed violence was imminent, and it had advanced stealth protocols to avoid repercussions. Apparently these improvements had ranked higher than making actual functionality fixes. Something about it's improved AI meant that it generally kept a good 3 doorways between itself and the reptilioids except in the most dire situations. "Well hey guys, seems like there's a bit of a kerfuffle in here!", said the cheery robovoice. "Let's tidy this room up, shall we?" Engine repair: 1d6 ⇒ 1 Mk II begins sweeping up decoupled cables, dislodged viewscreens, and generally anything that would be important to repair the engine room. From inside the machine comes disconcerting crunching and crackling sounds as its 'digestion protocol' kicks in. A crumpled block of anything fireproof is deposited out of the robot's rear hatch. |
