About He Who Hunts

He Who Hunts was born Narvok, the grandson of a proud Lyrune-Quah shaman in the Cinderlands of Varisia; the heir to a distinguished Shoanti heritage. At a young age he and his family were overtaken by slavers and forced into captivity. Through a series of terrible events the majority of his family perished and those who survived found themselves stranded and abandoned in the Laughing Jungle of Sargava. There at the other end of the world, cut off from their people, they did their best to survive. However, the dangers of the strange jungle and the zealous slavers that hounded them proved too great and in the end only Narvok and his mortally wounded grandfather remained. While dying the grandfather performed what he could of the young warrior's tribal initiation into the Lyrune-Quah, blessed the youth, and passed on his title of "He Who Hunts" to Narvok.

With the death of his family He Who Hunts vowed to never forget his heritage and dedicate his life to hunting down and destroying the evil of Golarion; this evil which he realized took everything important from him save, his pride. Alone he traveled east following rumors that the city of Kalabuto was under siege by mysterious foreign invaders. Upon reaching the city he plunged head long into the struggle between Kalabuto and the city of Mzali. Appalled by the evil of Walkena, mummified child of the sun king and ruler of Mzali, He Who Hunt committed himself to protecting the innocent people of Kalabuto. There he learned of the oppression of the Mwangi people and of the struggle Chelixian colonist have with their homeland.

For a long while, He Who Hunts, defended Kalabuto with a zeal that would have made his ancestors proud. Though as the years passed the bitterness of the social failings between the Mwangi and the Chelixian colonists took it's toll on the warrior's heart and he choose to abandon living in the city and returned to the rugged pure life of the Sargava wilderness. There he contended with evil monsters, slavers, and anything else that would threaten the innocent. After some time he accidentally made contact with the Pathfinder Society and encountered members of the Silver Crusade. Though he was not impressed with their worship of their so called "gods" that chose to allow weaker beings to fight on their behalf, he saw in them a kindred spirit and a zeal to confront evil that matched his own. Convinced that greater evil lurked in Golarion other than slavers and beasts of the jungle; He Who Hunts left Sargava and committed himself to the cause of the Silver Crusade and their Pathfinder Society.
