Howdy y’all ,

Tried a few searches , no luck. Are ‘official’ VTT maps available for modules ? Can’t really use ones in adventures as not player version - shows traps etc. I see few for sale on roll 20 but only want the maps .

I had a bad feeling about this adventure early on and decided to pass on it. From everything I've heard / read I'm glad I did!

SKT currently has a 61.5% rating on enworld, and is certified which means it has minimum 10 ratings.

To get back to your question(s), I urge you to read Sean's guide to SKT on his blog. You can also pick up a PDF of the guide on dmsguild.

I scanned his guide and it clinched it for me - hard pass on SKT!

I used his guide to run my Curse of Strahd campaign and it was top notch. I had similar questions when I got the CoS book and it was tremendously helpful to me.

Good luck!

Going to use it for my group for sure, great read!
They aren't going to be level 1 though! Brand new group and 2/3 new players so going to let them bash some monsters and get the basics down before I drop them into this!

Would someone give me the gist of this or refer to other post / article etc? What was it? What happened?
There's adventures that deal with it?

Dwarven wizard . . . has potential!

I can't see anything about gaining extra proficiencies at certain levels etc . . . thanks!

Guess this place is going to get busier with D&D stuff!

I did search of previous posts and didn't have any luck . . .
Have free base rules in pdf, obvious question is how does a PC gain a new proficiency?
A wizard doesn't get the armor prof. at 1st, so gains no benefit & can't cast spells while doing so.
Obvious question - how does wizard gain armor prof.?
Maybe it's in PHB and not in free rules?

I know there's the Lost Mines adventure, pregen PC's, dice set etc.
Is the rule book basically the same as the free online basic ruleset from the WOTC site, just with color, art etc? I'm guessing yes.

Nice! Thanks!

Don't have time to make a new character, where can I get one ASAP?

Looking at Gnome Druid (4th level)preferably, Gnome Wizard second choice (also 4th).

We're looking to expand our present group; one of our players is on a hiatus due to work and that leaves us with just two active players at the moment. Normally we try to get together 3 to 4 times a month on Saturday afternoons, generally 12pm-5pm. We play in the north end of the city. We're looking for players that will mesh with our group dynamic and availability to attend regular sessions. We all miss the odd game day due to otherworldly events, but we're all dedicated to getting together when we can.

As for myself, I'm 40ish and still enjoy playing though game mastering is what I enjoy the most. Our games tend to have some role-playing intermixed with decision making and tactical combat situations. I tend to use props, handouts, miniatures and a battle map for better visualization. The campaign tends to require intelligent play as everything is not scaled to the player characters, its an open world, home brew campaign set in the Pathfinder world of Golarion.

I see from older posts you played Friday evenings, if you ever switch back to that let me know.
