What I've been reading is that you - as a retailer - have a product chain through which you obtain your product. The faulty book gets returned up that chain. So your customer returns it to you. You return it to your supplier/distributor. Your supplier/distributor returns it to Paizo.
I could be wrong, but that's the way retail exchanges usually work.
Thanks - I was, finally, able to find an article on the Paizo site that walked through the process. For what it's worth, you're right on the money.
