About Harro Freeheart
Harro was the indentured performer in a travelling troupe out of Westcrown. His specialty – comedy and tumbling delighted crowds all over Cheliax, and later, the Inner Sea. During his youth, Harro reveled in the “fame” and notoriety that his role in the troupe provided, along with the extra benefits he was afforded beyond normal “servants.”
After a time, Harro began to put his talents to other uses, gaining access to secured rooms at theatre houses, mansions, or anywhere else the troupe happened to be performing. He managed to pilfer various trinkets, gems, antiques and other shiny things before his luck ran out.
All good things must come to an end, and Harro found himself cornered in the closed office of Chelaxian noble, his hand firmly in the “cookie jar” when that time came. The penalties for an escaped slave or burglary were much the same, and the extended stay in an oubliette did not appeal to him. Harro slipped out the window and began slipping along a narrow ledge, high above the estate grounds, looking for a miracle.
Fortune smiled on him that moment, as his path crossed with that of a mysterious woman. An Andoran agent in Cheliax seeking “something” from that noble’s office. She abandoned her task for the opportunity to free a slave. The woman offered him a choice; capture and a lengthy prison term, or escape to Absalom and the Pathfinder Society. It was an easy choice, and Harro literally leapt at the chance. He and the mysterious rogue disappeared into the night, and the Pathfinder Society’s ranks grew by one more.
