Hamish sees Dolan go down, but before he can even begin to reach for his healer's tools, Pasqualek's healing revives the dwarf. Angrily, Hamish moves forward and sends a bolt of divine energy at the goblin. "Kidnapping is not enough?! You compound that by attacking us?! Vile Beast!" ◆ Stride

This is my first 2E PFS done on the forums. It appears that I am pre-rolling a few too many of my checks that should be blind. It is just what I am used to doing on the forums here, but I do appreciate blind rolling (though I also hate to create extra work for GMs). I will try to follow along with what everyone else is doing.

Hamish attempts to pinpoint the direction the voices are coming from. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 Nodding to Dolan, he asks. "So, it sounds as if Babs is still alive, then? Perhaps you can talk them into turning her over to us? Avoiding violence is always best." Hamish stands ready to cover anyone's actions.

With bow in hand, Hamish focuses on the tracks. He points out the unknown dinosaur tracks to everyone. "Doesn't seem to be a predator, since there was no attack, and the little one is still walking, but we should be alert." He notes Pasqualek's comments with a grunt, looking over to him only briefly. After a moment, he chooses to respond. "We will find her, one way or another, and deal with the situation as needs be." He considers the kobold for a moment. "I apologize if I seem distant, Pasqualek. My community experienced raids by kobold tribes in the past. It takes time to get used to the modern era and more cosmopolitan kobolds. At least you aren't a gob..." Hamish breaks off as the gutteral insults start pouring in. "Cave ahead, though I can't say if it would be safety from being out in the open or just lead us into more danger. Does anyone speak Goblin?"

Marie Vacher wrote: "Can anyone track ? We need to follow whomever broke the fence and captured babs" Based on Hamish's Survival roll from the previous page, I would say he has located the tracks, but I don't know for sure

Hamish goes stiff, his eyes far away. He starts mumbling under his breath. "The youngest, and our last. Take her, Marie. Into the forest. The rumors can't possibly be as bad as what we know is behind us. I will lead them away..." He starts shaking, and tears run down his cheeks. Suddenly, his eyes snap back into focus and a look of anger holds his face. "No! I won't lose them again!" Moving into grass, Hamish begins casting around, attempting to locate the tracks of a lone stegosaurus heading away from the enclosure. Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Hamish realizes that he has been thinking of the stegosauruses as if they were domesticated livestock. That obviously isn't right, these are wild animals that will respond instinctively to the presence of a predator. He asks for Erastil's Guidance and falls back to his experience with hunting, takes out his bow, and falls in to the demeanor of the hunter. Retreating a ways, he begins stalking the baby dinos, hoping that their sixth sense will drive them toward the enclosure. Survival,Guidance: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 1 = 13

Nature: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 With enticement set forth in the pen, Hamish considers the situation and thinks that the best option now is to make the sound of a mother Stegosaurus encouraging the little ones into the pen. Unfortunately, Hamish has never heard an adult Stegosaurus, nor has he talked with someone who has. The sound he makes sounds more like a cow than a giant lizard.

Hamish lived many years as a farmer and knows that the surest way to round up livestock is to give them something they want to eat in the enclosure. He looks around the enclosure, attempting to identify the tastiest grasses, bushes, and other plants. Collecting as much as he can, Hamish walks through the dinosaurs, moving the armful of plants near their noses to entice them. He walks into the enclosure and spreads the plants on the ground. Hamish shrugs. "It does not mention the city, but 'return them to the wild' strongly implies they could become a threat to the community. Gripping the limb of his longbow, he looks toward the west. "Besides, it is always good to have a task to occupy the mind. Shall we follow the directions? West, then south to two large boulders. Oh, and I am Hamish, by the way. Nice to meet you all."

A swashbuckler, a rogue, a bard, and three healers. Interesting party makeup... Probably better than no healers at all. BTW I haven't looked at the 2e life oracle much yet. The Death domain seems an odd "related domain"

An older man, dressed in patched pants and jerkin moves up behind everyone else. His long white hair and beard frame a sad face and downcast eyes with deep bags under them. Noting that everyone is looking at the posted advertisement, he stops to read. His expression softens momentarily as he watches the hummingbird, then his eyes drop and he lets out a sigh. "Stegosaurus inside of the town? That can't be safe." He looks around, imagining the buildings being crushed by a pack of loose dinosaurs and shudders. "For the safety of the community, these animals should be relocated. Are the rest of you planning to help with this endeavor? I would be glad to bring Erastil's blessings along." |
