At the sight of his own blood splattering against the holy symbol, Hadarai is filled with anger, and lets the anger pour through his body by first challenging the berserker (minor) then releasing a furious blow on him. (standard, B3) Invigorating Strike Attack 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25 vs Will
If the attack hits, Hadarai and any bloodied allies within 5 squares are healed by 6 hp.
Okay, so correct me if I can't do this. (This whole thing has been a learning experience for me, so thanks for bearing with me.) Hadarai runs north 8 spaces?, issues a divine challenge against Berserker 4. minor, and holy strikes Berserker 4 with his flaming sword. standard. Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 vs AC

CANCEL PREVIOUS POST Hadarai lifts his voice in another divine challenge, letting the silver crescent of Corellon mark fall onto (B2). He then empowers himself with Corellon's holy symbol, channeling the divine energy into his arm and blade. divine strength encounter power, +3 damage to next attack
Sorry, at work most of the day. Focusing the powers of Corellon through the silver crescent moon hanging from his neck, Hadarai creates a field of psychic awareness between allies within 6 spaces (via one heart one mind utility power) and turns to face H2. He weaves his flaming blade in a threatening display designed to distract him from attacking, (aiding Mandrake) with +4 bonus. Aid Another 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31 vs AC 10
Hadarai jerks a little in surprise at the oncoming electrical assault, but quickly recovers and shifts back into the dance. Was gonna ask about that. I think you're right. I attacked #1. But Manny was diagonally across (kind of).
Hadarai slides noiselessly into action, unsheathing his sword minor action, which instantly bursts into flame free action. In an instant he disappears and reappears in another spot (teleporting via fey step enc. power to the square next to the horse and above the figure marked with a 1 - sorry, not sure what kind that is.)move action and strikes the figure with a valiant strike standard action. 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19 vs AC
Don't be afraid to correct me if I mess up on something. This is one of the first 4th edition games I've been in. 17/17 hp
Hadarai smiles in what he hopes is a soothing way. "Ah, yes. Adventurers. I suppose you can say that everyone is an adventurer, but some people have a certain calling for it. Those that are thrust into such a career by means outside their control are more 'unique' than some, and come from a variety of backgrounds and artistic awarenesses." He gestures towards some of his new companions. "It is obvious to me that every adventurer's story is a unique one. And no lack of strange and exciting experiences have helped to define each of us. Some of the things that we have survived would curdle the blood of lesser persons. I am not entirely surprised that some of us should have manners and perceptions different from those the rest of the world shares. Mystery and madness are the artisan wines of life. Drink heartily when you can."
Hadarai is bemused by her statement. "You have heard of those of our ilk? Sister Naenia, I am new among some of these companions, and find their 'ilk' to be mysterious and maddening. If you have some experience that might enlighten me to the nature of their ilk, I would be grateful for your insights."
Hadarai bows his head in respect as he introduces himself, but maintains his solemn nonsmile. "I am Hadarai Valanara. We are well met, though the confines of this road are narrow for a proper meeting. I have no wine or mead to share with a new comrade." DM: After remembering the story, I'm going to keep more wary around the pilgrims. (Since I'm new to 4th Edition...) Is there a way to roll an insight check everytime she says something to see if she is bluffing or has ulterior motives, or should I roll one for the encounter? I guess I'm asking insight would be resolved best here since Hadarai is a little more suspicious now.
"Men can be wise and foolish at the same time." Hadarai focuses on the woman in front of them. "Which is not to say that Sir Malagant was such a man. But perhaps your Goddess inspired him to do what no other would do." Hadarai examines the effigy. "It is of beautiful craftsmanship, and does honor to the hero of your history."
Hadarai listens to the conversation, hoping to make some sense of the archaic and confusing words being tossed around. "Seafood is a little too squirmy for my tastes, and I personally cannot abide anything with tentacles. Death comes too late to creatures of the abyss. But now that we have gotten the philosophical debate out of the way, perhaps we can communicate more clearly."
Hadarai grimly looks over at his two traveling companions, wondering how he had gotten pulled into this sidetrek. "Hopefully something more than a 'face in the hill'." He shifts the shield on his arm, adjusting the weight to a more comfortable position. The road they were traveling on was still wide enough to walk three abreast, but based on the direction of their travels, Hadarai knows it will get narrower soon.
Fabes DM wrote: Cool. Just looking over the numbers - your healing surge value should be 74/4 rounded down = 18. 15+14+6+6+6+6+6+6+6+6 = 77 /4 rounded down = 19 +1 (belt of vigor) = 20 :) I've got a quick rule question. Invigorating smite is a wisdom-based attack, but its a weapon power, would I add the flaming longsword's proficiency and enhancement bonuses?

Yep, I'm on it. I hadn't finished typing everything. It takes a long time to put up a 4E character... lol. I'm rearranging my items right now to see if I can afford an amulet |
