Gurukk shrugs and goes first. He shimmys across as carefully as possible as falling holds no intrest
Gurukk stays close and casts another burning grasp spell, trying to burn the thing to death. DC 17
Seeing the axe not be super effective, Gurukk helps out Respen by trying to burn the dog to death.

Most likely only being able to see 30' he won't be able to see thing flying spectacle of a creature. But he will take the others' words about it and move with them to help close the gate, or be a target for the creature when they do it.
"Gurukk can get you there and you can do you channel thing. Believe in the protection of the fire god and he will protect you! If not him, then Gurukk!"
"While there isn't a lot of good coming from there, that flame there is a sign that the Fire God is watching and soon the unclean shall be cleansed."
Gurukk scowls at their words wondering if that was meant as a threat. But doesn't want to think too hard on it so shrugs.
Gurukk strides up to the fire reveling in its majesty, "The flames look upon this group favorably. Bask in the Fire God's blessing."
"They have been corrupted by the one true enemy. For that he shall pay."
Angry that these hounds of fire have been corrupted and not heeding the chosen one of the Fire God, he returns an axe blow to the jaw of the one that bit him.
Gurukk brings his axe around, "These dogs are made mad by the true enemy. For that he will suffer."
While the axe hits, you can tell Gurukk is struggling with hurting these fire dogs and didn't put much behind his swing.
Sorry I had some major work issues and a few other things that took me away from the boards for a bit. I got my games back up and running and trying to caught back up in everything else. A reminder was just what I needed!
As the hounds breth fire, Gurukk appears to stand and revel in the flames before casting a spell. When the spell completes, an opaque suit of chainmail made of magical force appears around him. He grips his axe and moves in for the kill. (Cast instant armor since my fire spells would be worthless) HP 55/58 AC 18
Seedy: Gurukk nods, "Gurukk is in, as long as Gurukk gets to burn people, places, and things."
The seedy under-belly: Gurukk shrugs, "Gurukk is fine working with you, but Gurukk works for Shadow-m, err Gurukk means this guy here now. Once Gurukk is done with that sure we, err Gurukk would do it."

I'm having major real life issues with time right now (Mainly work but that is pushing my limited free time outside of work and family to almost nil). So much so I canceled one game I am running (Due to this and other reasons) and I may have to drop out of some games I am playing in. This is one I would rather not, but I am frustrated in my lack of time lately that my posting will suffer for awhile.
Gurukk will charge one of the casters (If possible or else move as close as he can if not)

Gurukk stares at the thing, not knowing what it is, but not really caring. He begins running at the creature, swinging his axe down at the last moment, barely hurting it.
"If you or the pig come anywhere near Gurukk, Gurukk will be eating some bacon real quick.", Gurukk grumbles.
Gurukk casts prestidigitation on the man, trying to clean the stink off of him. Not that Gurukk cares, but he knows the sensibilities of the others.
Gurukk brings the Axe down on the one still standing

As the creature casts the spell, a shimmer appears around Gurukk who is unharmed by the spell "Creature be warned, Gurukk is protected by the Fire God and will not suffer your insolence!"
Gurukk chases after and fires a ray at the creature, Gurukk doesn't care what it is, but misses.
After performing on stage by setting up a number of candles and activating his fire aura and melting them all at once, the night gets fuzzier. When he wakes in the morning he looks over to see if Katrina is there before wondering if any of his spells would get rid of his headache.
Gurukk stands and says he has some tricks he can do too, but is quickly talked out of it as it is realized it probably has something to do with burning...lots of burning.
A tear drips from Gurukk's eye, "Gurukk loves you man!"
"Gurrukk wants what Katrina wants, plus 3 more of each of those."
As the night goes on, Gurukk continues to drink whatever is put in front of him, as long as it is alcoholic, trying to get Katarina to do the same. As party tricks, and to show off some, Gurukk uses his slippers to walk up the wall, and casts his instant armor spell to make some opaque force armor. At some point in the night, Gurukk tries to remember the classic pickup line his buddy always had so he could use it on katarina, [b]"Once you go orc...." but he can't quite remember it.
So still updating Gurukk...Oracle Level 5 is boring. So how much gold can we blow? Gurukk is done except sweet magic items!
Gurukk will drink at least 1 more than Katrina will have with a minimum of at least more drinks than he has fingers to count them.
Gurukk hears the word burn, then looks around to find what is on fire.
Gurukk is confused on what just happened when the woman grabs his arm and ushers him inside. As he sees the others inside he goes over to them and says, "Good to see everyone. Gurukk would like to introduce...." His one eye, which lately has looked less clouded than normal, looks to her to supply the rest since he has no idea.
Gurukk comes to the "aid" of the attractive woman, "Har! You are looking as bad as ever Stinky Pete. Gurukk thinks you should take a bath, though I have spell to not make you smell any worse, but ugly is ugly and I can't do anything about that." Gurukk cast prestidigitation to "clear the air".
Lower WBL is definitely unoptimized!
Gurukk will drink with Sir Respen and get in some bar fights
Gurukk heals himself
Then tends to Xane's wounds
Gurukk points to his face, "No, Gurukk didn't get a blow to his head, though half his face melted, does that count?" |
