Grythyk furrows his brow, obviously confused. "I'm not entirely certain how Best to get ready for the Abyss, having never been there myself. Perhaps Holy Weapon Balm? A Holy Weapon? I know that the Temple of Iomedae here in town sells a good deal of tools for fighting Evil Outsiders..."

Gamin chimes in, his voice full of Mirth. "Some people like to be Prepared, Grythyk. You know, Casting Spells, Learning about Enemies, All the things that you don't do? Iomedae doesn't grant everyone the grace that she grants you, so most of these nice folks have to prepare for their adventures!"

No big deal! I'm sure the 5 of them can carry it though >:D

Additionally, if you guys have another in mind, feel free to grab them! Let's proceed, shall we?

Jorsal nods toward the door and it opens, almost as if commanded to do so. Grythyk, sheepishly looks toward the assemble pathfinders “Sorry, I couldn't help myself from listening." Jorsal cracks an uncharacteristic smirk before nodding to Grythyk. "Would you like to give a First Hand account? Words from your mouth might mean a bit more than my interpretations." Grythyk beams with pride, before starting. "We know that Koth’Vaul has gathered his most loyal servants to himself, suggesting he is planning something important. From what I saw, it seems six humans and three Glabrezu accompany him. It is likely that the humans are corrupted mortals who have given themselves over to Koth’Vaul. Although killing them may be necessary, it would be a virtuous work to bring them to redemption instead."

Gamin adds "That sounds a bit more like Sarenite Teachings, but Mistress Zadrian is the Boss!"

Grythyk continues, after glaring down at Gamin. “My team's divinations indicate that the portal leads to the Rasping Rifts, which is the realm of the slain demon lord Deskari. It is an endless maze of chasms and rifts filled with swarming insects. Few mortals have ventured there and returned to tell the tale. In addition to hordes of demons, it is also inhabited by giant insects, mosquitoes big enough to drain a person dry, and terrible Abyssal constructs called retrievers. I don't really know what his plans are, but so far all his schemes have been subtle and difficult to detect. The fact that he has shown himself so openly suggests that he is preparing for a major strike. Our diviners were careful not to delve too deeply, as Koth’Vaul has used divinations against us in the past. There is a good reason that glabrezus are also called treachery demons. Be cautious as you follow the demon’s trail and do your best to discern his true purpose.”

Looking to Kurik, Grythyk shrugs at the request of aid. "While a Band of powerful crusaders, Touched by Iomedae Herself, managed to seal the Worldwound, there is still much work to do before it is clean and clear for habitation. I don't imagine that you would find much in terms of help in there, and the terrain can change so suddenly, that I don't know that I would be of any help leading you back there. Besides, I'm certain that Jorsal has some sort of other work for me, as I wasn't included in this mission."

Grythyk, realizing his step out of line, looks down at his shoes.

Standing just over Seven feet tall, in Shining Steel Full Iomedaean Full plate, the Grythyk lightly dusts off several medals welded to the left breast, before gripping the hilt of the longsword at his hip, his thumb on the pommel.
"Gamin, think these are the folks Jorsal sent us to Retrieve? They do seem strong enough. Although I'm not certain about the Half-Orc and the Vampire."
A tinny voice echoes from an inch long section of the blade drawn from the sheath. "Tolerance Grytyhk! The Pathfinder society works with all types to better Golarian! That's the Cooperate portion of the Motto!"

Grythyk furrows his brow, obviously confused. "I suppose. If they are who Jorsal asked for, then they must know what they are doing." Finally snapping his eyes up to the offloading boat, Grythyk smiles wide before addressing the new arrivals. "Hello Seekers! I am Grythyk, Paladin of Iomedae Praise Iomedae! and I am here on Jorsal's behalf to take you to the Starrise Spire! I hear that you all are about to engage in a Dreadful Mission to defeat a Great Threat to the Society! Onward, to Starrise!"

Turning on a heel, he begins the trek toward the Massive spire in the center of the diamond city.

Grythyk, claps Jyrrar and Liora heartily on the back (a little harder than you expected), grinning widely. "With Iomedae on our side, there isn't a think that we couldn't accomplish! Let me give you a quick look over to make sure you didn't pick up anything... strange from that asteroid."

Detect Evil:

Volyana: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Atronia: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Jyrrar Rivurder: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Liora the Skydruid: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Drat, no boons for us. Oh well!

"Why do you always assume people pick up Evil from going adventuring?"

"You never can be too careful, Gamin!" Reaching into his belt pouch, Grythyk pulls some shards of metal laced with tiny flecks of Opal. "I was able to gather up some of the metals from those protective rings. It seemed important, like a Keepsake! They seem powerful, and benevolent. Perhaps the influence of Ranginori flooded into them after the puzzle box broke? I suggest keeping them with you until you need them."

After a gleeful salute, Grythyk waves to the assembled pathfinders. "It was a joy to be your Captain! May Iomedae inspire you toward Vigilance!"

As a multitude of portals open, Grythyk leaps over two smaller bodies shouting "FOR IOMEDAE!" before shoving the large figure back through the portal. The two figures look for their missing boss, before looking back at the sphere with a gleeful grin.

Following you down the stairs, Grythyk stares amazed at the floating sphere. "This might be where all of this wind is coming from! But how do we get inside?" Crying "For Iomedae!" he charges over the ground swinging Gamin at the magical box. "This seems like a bad... is all Gamin manages before Grythyk strikes with a reverberating CLAAAAANGGGG.

"Hmm. I'm out of Ideas."
"Really Grythyk? You thought you could just smash an Incredibly Powerful Artifact, containing some sort of being that is MAKING ENOUGH AIR FOR US ALL TO BREATHE ON AN ENORMOUS ASTEROID, WITH ME?"
Shrugging his shoulders, Grythyk grins at his constant companion. "It was worth a Shot?"

More or less! That's the complicated part that I had to wait until I got home to type :D

The floating Vault is nearly a half-mile wide with defenses established in every direction. An adamantine shell encloses the structure; however this has been ruptured, and strands of the sky metal practically bleed from the holes in a vain attempt to repair the damage and reseal the area completely. The ground bulges all about, and chunks of earth and metal explode periodically as blasts of air billow out from within, driven by an unseen force.

Scratching his scaly head, Grythyk looks at your assembled party.
"Uh, does anyone know how to drive an Asteroid?"
"I think it is more of a Controlled Fall."
"Oh. Ok. Does anyone know how to control the fall of an Asteroid?"

Knowledge(Engineering) Perception or Survival DC 18:
You managed to find a good spot to Jump Off, or at least a place to scramble from the rock to gain entrance into the asteroid. You have made the checks easier for the rest of the party! I would mention this to them.

Atronia's strike will cut the former pathfinder down, Ending the combat!

Grythyk, finally landing (carefully) on the moving asteroid looks down at the slain foe, and the enemy Priestess. "I recognize that blasphemy. But why would she go to Ayrzul?"

A moment after he lands, more pathfinders crowd onto the asteroid, either flying or falling. A woman with winged Sandles lands next to the poor zombie, and cradles his body in her arms.
"I can bring him back to the lodge, and we can patch him up there!" Grythyk adds, as Gamin snickers. "If you were better at your job, you could have done it yourself!"

Grythyk quickly grabs one of the knotted ropes and shouts, "Try to hit one of the closer platforms! I don't imagine that they will stay in place for long!" An instant later, sprinting toward the edge of the pit, he launches himself into the open air, before catching himself on the rope.

Popping his head through one of the Portals, Grythyk grins. "Come on through! Iomedae has shown the way!"
"I'm pretty sure that was Sorrina Westyr."
"Iomedae is the ONLY disembodied voice that I listen to. It MUST have been her!"

Trudging through the pouring rain, Grythyk shoves open the shrine doors to let a good deal of the water loose. "What is all this RAIN? Does Iomedae Weep at our misfortune?" Gamin chuckles, before adding "We did hear something about the Brackish Emperor. That would explain the Brackish Water, would it not?"

"I don't know what color has to do with Rain. We should keep moving. What did you all find in here? Anything helpful?"

With a grin, Grythyk looks to Gamin, and points off to right.
"Alright, the ice it is! Let's get going! For Iomedae!" As he continues to lead the path seen from his aerial battle, the temperature begins to drop.
Thankfully, the society's protection seems to keep the chill off, as the crunching of boots on stone slowly gives way to steel on ice.

Landing with the grace of an angel covered in dust and gore, Grythyk says a few words as his eyes stop glowing. The dust and gore cleans itself from his armor and face, as if the filth was never there in the first place. "Welcome to Aucturn's Tear! Sorrina says we need to get into this rock, to learn why it is expelling so much air."
"A rock that is full of Hot Air? Are you sure this rock isn't related to you Grythyk?
Ignoring Gamin, Grythyk continues. "If we are to find out what is going on, we need to get inside. From above, it looks like there are three ways in. The first one is through a bunch of Cold and Ice, to a big frozen city. The next, is through the sunny side of the asteroid, with boiling temperatures and what looks like the remains of some sort of silvery ship wreckage. The last path, is Straight through the center, through the Crater!"
"I'm not sure that Knocking on their front door is the safest plan Grythyk..."

So, where are we going?

As the gate cracks open, Large feathers wings erupt from the back of Grythyk's Full Plate, as a beautiful language reminiscant of a Choir of Angels erupts from his mouth. His eyes glow a powerful gold, as he leaps into the air, cutting a large flying chunk of rock out of the air.

Celestial:
HOLD THE LINE! For the Glory of Iomedae!

"Here we go again! I have no idea what he says when he gets like this, but keep yourselves safe!"

Looking directly at Liora, apparently forgetting about his previous argument, Grythyk smiles, baring his fangs and a serpent tongue.
With a flick of his wrist, a brand new wand springs out of the sheath on Grythyk's armor into his waiting hand. "The Commissary got a message that you needed one of these. Some halfling said she would cover the cost for you, as thanks for protecting her from a... What's that thing called again?"

"A Minotaur. Taller than you, big axe, Half Beast?"

While scratching his scaly head, Grythyk looks down at Gamin. "You mean like those folks from the north?"

Gamin's voice nearly drips with disdain. "Yes. That's it exactly."

A series of hollow clangs thud down hallway, with two muted voices arguing. A moment later, the door swings open as a tall armored man ducks his head into the doorway, sword drawn. His face is covered in green scales, and his eyes are a deep yellow.

"I just don't think that I should have to be making deliveries! I am a Paladin for Iomedae's sake, not a Porter!" Four medals are welded onto the left side of the breastplate, to the right of a Symbol of Iomedae sculpted into the armor.

Another voice echoes back to him, seemingly out of nowhere. "Yes, but you were at the commissary! You were already picking one up for yourself! And Liora is in the group that you'll be leading!"

"Hmm. I suppose. Which one of you is Liora?"

"Aren't you forgetting something Grythyk?"

With a befuddled look, that suddenly turns into excitement, the tall snake man bows, before the room, showing a startling amount of grace for the Fullplate he is in. "What? What could I be... Oh yes! Welcome Pathfinders! I am Grythyk, and this is my trusty compatriot Gamin! We have been called upon for the Glory of Iomedae.." as as far as he can get before the disembodied voice interrupts him. "You mean the Pathfinder Society."

"Gamin, I will put you back in the sheath if you don't behave! The Glory of the Pathfinder Society to go on this Holy Journey, and Bask in Iomedae's Light!"
