Volyana grits her teeth at the impressive blow while continuing her whip's spin. Rapidly swinging the heavy weight at the end into the brown elemental, she continues her assault.

Atronia
|
As she brings out her greatsword and positions closer to the two elementals, Atronia starts singing a bolstering song about a great battle of the Freedom War that took place in Nirmathas, her homeland.
Any ally may accept the effect of my Raging Song. Much like a Barbarian's rage, it gives you a +2 morale bonus to Strength and Constitution, and a +1 to Will saves, but it prevents you from casting spells or using concentration and patience. And yes, all those bonuses stack with Trix' spell.
Liora the Skydancer
|
"Ooh...remind me not to stand too close to those fellows," Liora winces after seeing Volyana take a massive blow. Scimitar still in hand, she steps up behind Jyrrar.
"Here, this should help - just keep stabbing with the pointy end and it should work eventually," she grins as she taps him on the shoulder.

Did Volyana's attack include Trix's bless?
Newt draws his sling and tries to find a shot through the companion's defensive wall.
"These strangers already so eager to defend me. I really appreciate this."
"Be careful, Kivi," he projects to the allied elemental.

Kivi the Troll

Kivi's obsidian eyes lose their gleam and the stones that compose his skin bristle, making him appear more ferocious, as the skald begins to sing.
"Argh! Yes! Ha ha!"
He steps forward and swings the earthbreaker in a heavy, overhanded assault.

Jyrrar gives the sylph a smile as he accepts the blessing from her. While the song from Atronia does indeed warm his blood, he resists the urge to allow the emotions to take control of him. He instead steps forward unleashing a flurry of attacks upon the elemental, using the heel of his palm to strike at it.

Grythyk and Gamin
|
Landing with the grace of an angel covered in dust and gore, Grythyk says a few words as his eyes stop glowing. The dust and gore cleans itself from his armor and face, as if the filth was never there in the first place. "Welcome to Aucturn's Tear! Sorrina says we need to get into this rock, to learn why it is expelling so much air."
"A rock that is full of Hot Air? Are you sure this rock isn't related to you Grythyk?
Ignoring Gamin, Grythyk continues. "If we are to find out what is going on, we need to get inside. From above, it looks like there are three ways in. The first one is through a bunch of Cold and Ice, to a big frozen city. The next, is through the sunny side of the asteroid, with boiling temperatures and what looks like the remains of some sort of silvery ship wreckage. The last path, is Straight through the center, through the Crater!"
"I'm not sure that Knocking on their front door is the safest plan Grythyk..."
So, where are we going?
Trixalana

Trix walks over to Volyana and taps her twice with the healing wand granted to the party. "There you are dear! Hope you are feeling much better."

Volyana
|
Volyana loops her whip over her shoulder and stretches after being healed.
"Thank you. Hmm, an ancient city would be a sight to see, especially one built by whatever beings live on a comet. The more important question is, are we more prepared for heat, or cold?"
Newt the Drowned
|
"These potions should last us a whole day, shouldn't then?" Newt offers tentatively, "But I don't know which way would be better."
Kivi the Troll
|
"If there's time, consider summoning one of our sisters, Newt. Vesi would be better adapted to the cold, and Tuvi would excel on the hot surface." the earth elemental advises his charge as his stones settle down after being riled by the vigorous song.
Re-summoning is a 1-minute ritual.
Jyrrar Rivurder
|
"Would I be alone, I would prefer to head straight towards the Crater, yet I do understand those who are not used to the presence of so much stone." Jyrrar shrugs with a sidelong glance at Liora. "I am willing to follow with whatever path is decided on, though I am sure it would be the most difficult one."
Volyana
|
"We could simply storm ahead, but looking around first would be better. We do not know what we might find deeper in the crater, and taking our time to learn more would serve us well." Volyana grins. "Enthusiasm is good, though."
Atronia
|
Paizo server crash ate my post!
Atronia stopped singing and looked to her partners and grants them a big smile. "It seems I am travelling with impressive companions today!"
She then listens to Grythyk, nodding briskly as he speaks of making their way into the Tear. She ponders their choices for a moment. "I'm not particularly suited to any of these contexts more than to another, and I'm not to worried about the temperature extremes with the spell we've been offered, so I'll follow the group. I am quite curious about that frozen city, however."
Newt the Drowned
|
"If it is the frozen city, give me a moment to prepare," Newt requests of the others. He kneels down on the ground and closes his eyes for a moment, during which time Kivi waves to the others and sinks into the ground, leaving his armor and earthbreaker behind.
Newt opens his eyes and begins to drawn symbols on the ground with his finger and chant in what seems like a mix of elemental languages. A small cloud begins to form over the symbols as the moisture is drawn out of the air and even bubbling up from the ground. There is a pop, and a shimmer, watery creature resembling an octopus appears in front of the young druid.
Liora the Skydancer
|
"Oh wow! Newt, how do you do that?" Liora asks with wonder as Kivi melts into the earth and a being of water takes his place. "Hi there! You're Newt's friend? Glad to have you along with us!" she adds with an excited wave.
"Oh, right...the ice city sounds fine to me. Better than roasting or having to hoof it right through the middle of this place!"
Newt the Drowned
|
"Huh? Oh," Newt responds to Liora, "They do it. I just provide a door. They taught me how to make it when we lived on the island together."
Grythyk and Gamin
|
With a grin, Grythyk looks to Gamin, and points off to right.
"Alright, the ice it is! Let's get going! For Iomedae!" As he continues to lead the path seen from his aerial battle, the temperature begins to drop.
Thankfully, the society's protection seems to keep the chill off, as the crunching of boots on stone slowly gives way to steel on ice.

The terrain is rough, and it is a bit of slow going, as the terrain slowly gives way from Dirt and Stone to Ice and snow. You quickly find yourselves in the middle of a vast forest of lifeless trees blanketing the landscape. A thin layer of ice coats each branch, tracing dappled shadows in the starlight. A dark, half-fallen spire rises in the distance, while running water splashes nearby alongside the sound of vicious combat.
Ahead, the splashing noises are a group of three watery beings beating and bludgeoning a fourth being.
As the fourth liquid lifeform catches sight of you, it begins to burble and bubble.

"That is a wise course of action. Should we rescue the fourth from its tormentors then perhaps it will show its gratitude by telling us what lies ahead?" Jyrrar nods as he loads his crossbow.
Atronia

"If Vesi says so and nobody else knows what's going on, I'll trust her. Better get the upper hand by making the first move, if we're to fight them anyway. Let's go."
Atronia discreetly moves to the front of the group, then starts her raging song.
GM, if we did not have a surprise round, just pretend I didn't start the song. Everyone, I hope you don't mind me throwing us into this. I figured we had to move at some point.
