Is it worth putting assurance in atletics for trip?
I am rather fond of it. Monks often have actions left after flurrying and ignoring MAP is handy. It does call for a little bit of awareness of relative levels and what the good save on a creature most likely is, so its strategic value is tied to how well you can read those things. But it also comes in handy for the occasional climb check and stuff. Out of combat, Assurance Athletics might as well be a climb speed much of the time.
Quote:Do you think the best option for general feat a lvl 3 is shield block or can you think of something better? If you finding yourself raising a shield very often in combat, it is a great choice, sure. As a high mobility class with a ranged attack I'm not sure how often you are doing that, but that's kind of a play style thing.
Quote:My biggest question is with Produce Flame. If i understood correctly, with 2 actions i can hit unarmed and add 1d4 fire to my damage 1d6 + 3 +1d4. I want to be sure of this, i know that i can't do it as part of a flurry and I can't do it with Ki strike. Is that correct? This is wrong. Produce Flame can be used as a melee attack, but it doesn't combine with a a Strike. It does the same damage in melee or range. As such, I'd recommend trading it in for Electric Arc, which will ignore the MAP on your flurry. Ray of frost remains a good choice as a ranged option though.
THNKS MAN! This is just what i need!
