Background
Grulf grew up on the fringes of Nirmathas, living in the wilderness far away from Phaendar. His mother was a half-elven woods-witch, and his father a half-orc ranger. They had a hard life, and when Grulf was old enough he left them to try and make it on his own. Living in the wilds alone was more difficult than he imagined, however. He has spent many months close to starving. He joined up with the Foxclaw Scouts after a pair of half-elves from the organization admired the trophy he had taken by felling a rodent of unusual size and offered to sponsor him. He likes the feeling that he is part of something bigger, but they are all too spread out from each other to feel like a company. He is on his way to Phaendar for the Market Festival, and perhaps to meet other like-minded adventurers.

Personality
Grulf is, predictably, gruff. He generally thinks of himself first, though he won't screw over others to get ahead. He likes whittling and listening to other people sing, and he likes living in the wilderness. He is worried he will have to work as a bandit, and he doesn't want to do that. He is willing to rob and even kill others in order to survive, but he prefers not to unless absolutely necessary.

Appearance
Grulf is a strangely-shaped man with barely pointed ears and slightly elongated teeth and jaw. His brow is pronounced, and his squinty eyes are small and deep-set. He has an average body build and thin, wiry arms and legs. His voice is scratchy and rough.

Build Notes
Grulf is a striker, primarily built to deal lots of damage. Like any good rogue, he also has some useful skills (Acrobatics, Stealth, Survival). Because of his mother's gift for arcane magic, he can use magic items associated with the witch spell list, including cure wands. He's going to have the ability to do some debilitating combat maneuvers, too.
