Basically as the title. Do you describe it as their body physically resisting the damage? Does your character dodge hits to minimise the actual damage on their body or something else? Was wondering how most DMs describe it.

So for example, say a rogue gets shot with a pistol for 1d8 damage, taking 4 damage but they have 100 plus hp. Do you describe that the bullet hits but the rogues muscles are too tense and hard for the bullet to pierce deeper? Do you describe that the rogue twists out of the way even as the bullet hits, causing the bullet to only graze him? Or maybe it hits and does pierce into his body but he pushes on unfazed due to determination? How do most do it?

Edit: I am just here to hear how you all do it so I won’t respond unless you ask me to or I have a follow up question

When you use the cyclopean seer revelation to gain flash of insight can you use that to choose what card you are going to get from it. Reason I am asking is that the normal deck, the harrow deck and the mother deck all suggest or state that a dm should use a physical deck of cards to do the drawing instead of rolling for the result and flash of insight can only change any dice roll. But if you don’t have a deck of cards lying around you would use a d22 or d54 for the harrowed deck which is something flash of insight could manipulate. So my interpretation is RAW you shouldn’t because of the text but RAI you would be able to. Thoughts?

One of my party members were given the prophecy addled creature template after mythic ascension and aiding some cyclops oracle. Just to clarify: this is the special quality the template gives:

Special Qualities If the creature has flash of brutality, flash of insight, or another special quality that allows it to reroll a d20 roll a certain number of times each day, it can use that ability two additional times each y. If not, the creature gains the following special quality.

Prophetic Insight (Su)

Three times per day as an immediate action, the prophecy-addled creature can reroll any one d20 roll that it has just made before the results of the roll are revealed. It must take the result of the reroll, even if it’s worse than the original roll.

As she is a cyclopean seer with the flash of insight revelation and abundant revelation she can now use flash of insight 4 times right? 1 from the revelation, 1 from the abundant revelation and 2 from the template. Am asking cause another player thought she would only have 2 flash of insight uses and 3 free d20 rerolls as when we transferred our characters to hero lab she got the 3 free d20 rerolls

So recently my mythic group were hunting for a kraken working for the bbeg. On our way to find him we encountered an allied kraken with the chalice of lissala. We defeated him and as a result the chalice fell into our hands. Since I am playing a kitsune fey sorcerer, naturally the chalice was given to me to use. However ,my DM decided since it’s the only(?) Major artifact Lissala, who is nearly running out of worshippers, has she would probably reach out to my character and ask for a few things to let me keep it.

Naturally, I agreed to do the negotiation because a, she is still a god, and b, I want to keep using the artifact. As part of that deal besides the terms of me and my party not hunting her followers any further(because we killed a lot of them who were the kraken’s minions), ensuring a sanctum for some remaining followers(through the use of create greater demiplane, the sanctum mythic ability and our normal bases) and promising to destabilising/coverting region that apparently previously held one of her temples, i also have to take a portion of her power inside my PC(my guess is my dm is borrowing from dnd where Tiamat I think put a part of herself into a dracolich to not die).on paper the deal seems pretty loaded on her end but she agreed to basically let me do whatever I want with the artifact as long as I continue to venerate her and I also get free divine intervention now.

Now that all the context is mostly done besides some other misc stuff, the crux of my question is because I am a chaotic good character willingly taking a part of a now lawful evil diety, my dm is giving me a free template(frankly about time since most of our party also have other templates or other game advantage through other means) with the caveat being it must be by paizo, an evil alignment which will shift my alignment to chaotic neutral as part of the deal instead of straight to evil, and has aligns with my character and lissala.

The template I had chosen was half succubus cause that sweet bonus to Cha and it fits my character but as my dm and I take a closer look at the little info on lissala, it doesn’t really fit her beside the fact she has a very enchantment focused artifact. Is there a more fitting template I could tell my dm about? We are ok with staying as half succubus but if there’s something more fitting it would be nic. Thanks!
