Background

Bred and trained for war, the Griffon Cavalry are Calfon's aerial warriors, as dangerous themselves as any riders they might bear. As their trainers are quick to point out, the griffons themselves are as much warriors as any other soldier in the army.

Sharptalon is so named due to how many times his trainers found themselves bleeding from just a scratch from the griffon's talons. Free-spirited even for a griffon, Sharptalon would be more trouble were it not for his loyalty to those he considers friends. Seeing them hurt tends to send him into a murderous rage, where his keen talons are quickly put to work rending those who hurt his friends limb from limb. Sharptalon is the First Talon of his wing--in the rare occasions that the Cavalry flies in formation, he takes point.
