Can a half elf take Racial Heritage? Yes, he's human.

Can he select humanoid (giant)? Yes, it's a humanoid subtype.
Does Major Mind Swap treat him as a giant? Yes, Racial Heritage applies to how spells treat you.
Can he use Major Mind Swap on the overlord? ...Surprisingly, I think the answer is no!

See, Major Mind Swap is asking for somebody with the same race as you. Not having one of the same races, but literally the same race.

Due to Racial Heritage, the half elf has two subtypes, human and giant. (The half elf is no longer part elf, since Racial Heritage says you count as human and the new race, not count as whatever you were before, so this likely overwrites the previous subtypes).

Since his race is considered both human and giant, for somebody to be the same race, they must also be both human and giant. The rune giant, likely being purebred, does not qualify.

So a dual-race creature cannot count a pure blood as the same race in general?

no its a giant. has to be Humanoid

It is true in 3R, but giants are humanoid(giant) just as dwarves being humanoid(dwarf) in PF. So I think there shall be no difference.

Furthermore, fire giants might be of the same race with frost giants, just like elf subraces.

Is it allowed in PFS that a half-elf takes feat RACIAL HERITAGE to gain rune giant (humanoid, giant) race type, and casts MAJOR MIND SWAP on Malziarax, the rune giant overlord?

can you quote this spell? I looked it up I don't see anything about a 24hrs+ rule. where is this rule from?

That is the permanent bonuses rule on p555 CRB, well that may not work this way. But something similar happens to Major Mind Swap.

Anyway, familiar hp gets assigned by master hp while master hp influenced by new CON score. After a extended 8 hrs rest, things should come out stable and proper. Fortunately it is not something ouroboros.

A PC takes on the effect of Familiar Melding (sor/wiz4, UM) continuously for more than a week. According to the 24hrs+ rule, does he get a permanent change on ability scores and a new hp?

Can a staff of power be enchanted with INSPIRED enchantment?
A investigator will make quite good use of it, for a staff of power can grant x2 damage bonus in melee.

Ah, I get the point. Thank you guys.
That is to say, a 4-handed mutagen warrior can wield two two-handed weapons, each weapon by a regular hand and a vestigial hand?

A mutagen warrior lv6 holding 3 daggers with 3 arms and improved two-weapon fighting feat strikes 5 times in an full-round attack, or 6 times?

Does Seamantle (spell sor/wiz 8, APG) grant an undine sorcerer advantage on his favored class option id est a huge bonus on caster level check?
That is to say, is an undine sorcerer in Seamantle considered underwater?

That might be a good way to get a starring role in a sitcom, but I can't quite see the benefits beyond that of doing this?

Also, I think the Alter Self is dependent on the body, but the ability to do it is dependent on the consciousness. So you'd be able to become other animals I'd think? But only cosmetically.

It will change ability points distribution. You can take a poor str/dex score to get a decent physical combat ability.

And Magic Jar does not change creature type, just as Possession/Mind Swap. You are still humonoid, only wearing modified flesh somehow.
If Magic Jar/Possession/Mind Swap were made creature type changeable, some terror would be unleashed. PC would magic jar/possession/mind swap with a powerful creature then major mind swap with a second.

Have you ever tried to get a horse into a dungeon?

The horse or pony comes from our spell summon. It will take a mere 2x2 square to accomplish the simple ritual and we'll take the equine form for only 1 round.

You keep your Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma, level, class, base attack bonus, base save bonuses, alignment, and mental abilities. The body retains its Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, hit points, natural abilities, and automatic abilities. A body with extra limbs does not allow you to make more attacks (or more advantageous two-weapon attacks) than normal. You can't choose to activate the body's extraordinary or supernatural abilities. The creature's spells and spell-like abilities do not stay with the body.

as i'm reading that, you'd need a silent stilled materail componentless way of casting alter self, natural abilities wouldn't do it because they're not carried over to the body.

Alter self as supernatual ability or spell-like ability simply stays with your conscious as mental ability.

Well, a kitsune or some sorcerer bloodline powers will make it easy to alter self continuously.
As for the corpse-like body, we can shrink it as an item according to Magic Jar description, or simply hold its 150 lbs in our bag or place it on the mount back or floating disc things.

And he/she can use some continuous alter-self like abilities to change his/her shape back to humanoid form to gain access to full gear?

Would depend on the alter self like ability. If the ability is species based you probably can't use it while you're a horse, because horses can't alter self.

But magic jar doesn't change creature type, does it?

Summon-Slave Crystal (UE) grants us the ability to possess a summoned creature just like magic jar.
MOUNT(sor/wiz 1, CRB) is a conjuration (summon) spell by which we can possess a horse or a pony.
So a lv3 mage can metamagically extend a mount spell to gain a full 24 hrs horse shape?
And he/she can use some continuous alter-self like abilities to change his/her shape back to humanoid form to gain access to full gear?

Improved familiar cannot speak with animals type of its kind as it is not an animal, while the ability to speak with animals is necessary for mauler ones to giveup. So can an imp simply forfeit his voice to take mauler form for his battlelust?
