Adventure path change seems overall like a win, though it might be time to drop the "path" moniker. It's really just a big adventure at this point, no? Especially since pretty much everything will be hard cover now. The name "Pathfinder" is recognizable as its own thing; you don't need the name "adventure path" around. Overall, this seems like a great opportunity to simplify your branding.

to me I think Adventure Path is still a valid, reasonable way to refer to them in order to actually differentiate them from standalone adventures. There's still a meaningful difference in my mind because an AP is much longer, goes for a longer level range and has more going on. Plus the level ranges are more fixed. Whereas the Standalone's can in theory be at any level. And when it comes down to it, APs are pre-made campaigns that just are meant to last a long time. There's enough difference in my view to justify a unique name.

This was a super fun story. I absolutely want to know everything about Pakelia.

OOoooh! Nice!

I love their new abilities, this is so much more interesting than mummy rot.
I spot that they have more HP and deal more damage though... xD

Looks good,I like particularly the Naga (never was a fan of the snake with just a human-head look) and the sedacthy, who looks more comfortable underwater than his sahaguin colleague.

I know I should not ask before the relase of the book but are there more monster books planned ? PF1 had 6 and PF2 Pre-Remaster had 3. I just love monster books and you can never have enough.
When they announced the remaster, I remember in the stream that Erik Mona said it was possible, but nothing have been announced about concrete plans.

I'm sure they don't have anything planned in the sense that they don't know when they would release them or what monsters would go where, but I feel like there's no reason not to release more books. There are plenty more monsters to make match with the remaster and plenty of new monsters to introduce on top of those. I imagine we won't see those books until like, next year, maybe late this year if Monster Core sells really well, but I'm pretty confident they're going to come around unless Monster Core outright underperforms.

This looks so cool! I'm only vaguely familiar with the old cosmology via the Wrath of the Righteous game, but this new one is pretty fascinating. I love planar stuff so I'm excited to learn all about it all! I hope that this book at least gives us a quick outline of how everything connects even though I know the elemental planes are the focus. I also love this style of blog as well. It's so fun and flavorful.

From what I hear, the reason they're not going with Owlcat is that Owlcat has been entirely unwilling to write games in PF2, and they want stuff in the new system. It's really that simple.

I've heard that too, but I'mhoping it's at least partially exagerrated, at least in as much as Paizo is open to letting Owlcat continue to make games with 1e. I don't blame Owlcat for not wanting to move to 2e after spending so long getting 1e working. I'd love Paizo to get some 2e games off the ground because I like the system more, but I'd love to live in a world where we get both.

I'm choosing not to read into Owlcat's next project being 40K since it's good from a creative and business standpoint for them to branch out and not be too bound to Pathfinder. Plus I only heard about this BKOM thing because Owlcat quote retweeted the announcement, so it seems like the relationship is still friendly. Hopefully in a couple years we'll be hearing about Owlcat's next Pathfinder game.
